I'm sorry I forgot her name but the lady who cuts hair in the 2nd chair away from the wall furthest from the door, I believe 3rd chair from the door did a terrific job on my haircut. Not in a rush went over my fade a few times and it came out even. Please let me know her name so I can call and book an appointment for every other saturday read more

I took my son today for his first hair cut at a barber shop. Over the phone I spoke to Anthony to set a same day appt and I explained that my husband always cuts his hair. My son has a hard time dealing with the machine noise and the feel of the machines on his head. And he said it was no problem. From the moment we got there we were greeted and Anthony got to cutting his hair. He was so patient and friendly and kept asking my son how he felt. My son felt so comfortable and he allowed him to cut his hair with no fuss. Anthony also made sure my other kiddos felt seen by giving them a lollipop! And the hair cut came out great!! I'm so pleased with the experience we had and I'm so happy my son is willing to go back!! Also the shop is clean and the staff is all super nice! I definitely recommend this place!! read more

Amazing haircuts every time from PJ. Very good quality and always takes a long time on my hair. Such a nice place too

I'm not exactly sure how long it's been, as time goes by so fast, but I've been going to Chop Shoppe for at least a year now. Trying a new barber is always a gamble, but I needed somewhere closer to work, so I decided to give this place a shot based on the reviews. PJ is my go-to barber--he takes his time and gives an excellent fade. I'm always entertained by the conversations happening there or lose track of time watching the movies playing on the TVs. If you're looking for a new barber, I highly recommend calling this place and asking for PJ. This place definitely checks all the boxes: service, quality, and vibe. read more

First time at the chop shoppe today. I called to see if they take walk-ins and they do. Both walk-ins and appointments. Staff is very friendly, good conversation and music. My barber was Anthony, the time and effort he put in to my haircut was amazing, you could tell he really knew what he was doing. Very detail oriented. The haircut took maybe 20-30 min but the good ones usually do. Extremely happy with the results. Thank you Anthony, I will definitely be coming back. read more

This place used to be so nice and inviting but now when you walk in they don't even look at you they don't care if they make more money that day or not it seems and on top of that they don't take Apple Pay or any kind of pay besides cash and also the wait times are ridiculous I won't be going there ever again. read more

Took my son in for a cut. Been to a Chop Shop before and it was great but this was not. Foul language, negative wall decor with unpleasant films on the TV screens. Wasn't a happy/pleasant environment and my son's cut wasn't fantastic. Won't be entering another Chop Shop, this one killed the vibe. read more

This place is hands down the best barber shop I've ever set foot in, in or out of the AV. I used to love the way it looked inside before, but after the recent remodel, the place just looks amazing. The atmosphere is perfect. The barbers, the best in the business, the conversation and vibe, second to none. Every time I walk into this place I know I'm not only going to get a great cut by Mark who is quite possibly the most gifted barber of our generation, but I'm going to be engaged in interesting and stimulating conversation the entire time. Every time I get my haircut, the time completely flies by and by the end, I'm in the middle of an amazing conversation and end up staying just to wrap it up despite my haircut being completed 20-30 minutes prior. I'm extremely grateful to have found this gem in the AV and there is no other place I'd be willing to get my haircut, apart from their other location in Quartz Hill. The level of meticulousness and pride these guys put into every cut they do cannot be found anywhere else, and this is why I'll always keep coming back. read more

Great service, take walk ins and appointments. All the barbers do exceptional work. Safe clean environment highly recommend!

Hands down best haircuts you'll ever get in the Antelope Valley maybe even all of California! Come see PJ or Mark or anyone here for a great cut that will make you a lifetime customer! read more

Best barber shop I been to in the AV hands down. The attention to detail that they put into your haircut, plus the vibe of the shop, and the conversation you get from the barbers makes the experience very comforting and makes you want to go back every week! Jasmine is very nice. She cuts my husband and sons hair. The shop is very nice and clean. I would recommend this place.

My first barbershop shop experience in the States and I'm kind of glad I picked this place. I'm use to the barbershops in Asia so this was a pleasant change that didn't feel fake. I walked in on a weekday afternoon and I was able to get a cut within 30 mins. Next time I'll make an appointment otherwise the wait might have been longer. Definitely a cool place to get a haircut. read more

We've been to a lot of different hair cut shops, but The Chop Shoppe has far exceeded our expectations. The first time we visited, I think it was a Friday, they were super busy! We walked in and we're still able to get haircuts in under an hour. After realizing how popular these guys are, we started making appointments a few days in advance. We don't request a specific barber, so we've seen several different people and all of them have been wonderful. I have to say, that I've never seen attention to detail the way these guys do it. At your typical Super Cuts or Sports Clips, we're usually leaving less than satisfied, with uneven layers, like a shelf, with stray hairs we find later and have to trim at home. Not here. This place is legit. Blending like you've never seen before. So if you're looking to get a cool haircut that you don't have to fix yourself when you get home, this is the place to go. read more

Great place and great barbers. They really do a great job cutting your hair but you need to be specific. It is kind of pricey though.

One of the best haircuts I've had in a long time! $30 which I thought was a bit steep. But, if you want legit, then this is the place. I'll be back. Ask for Joseph. read more

Quality service very welcoming inside very good vibe, would recommend and go back again

Great customer service. The owner cut my sons hair and did a great job. He even gave him a hot wheels. I recommend The Chop Shoppe.

I moved up to the antelope valley a little over a year ago and it's been a struggle to find a good barber. Someone recommended the chop shoppe and I am so happy I went. Alex greeted me when I walked in, asked how i wanted my hair and then proceeded to give me the best haircut I've ever had. I was looking at the other barbers work as well and it seems that everyone is equally skilled. Overall this place was great and Alex will now be my new barber. I 100% recommend the chop shoppe. read more

9/28/18 Why don't you start by reading all the one star reviews. Do you honestly think that all these strangers on Yelp who rate your hair salon 1 star come up with the same conclusion? Honestly I'm astounded but then it's my fault waiting 2 hours for barbers who it's painfully obvious they hate working there? I bet you learned cosmetologist in county prison. Mark good luck with your "hair salon 10/16/18 Too funny. So all the 1-star reviews from all these complete strangers ( that all have the same complaints) are here to conspire against you? And your numbers don't add up with your "90%. 20-30 min extra give or take" Let's do some basic math. The haircut is 15$ I tip the barber $5. I get a cut twice a month, that's 10$ extra a month, 120$ a year and that's just one customer. You're only hurting your employees and its painfully obvious your barbers don't like their job or more importantly the owner/boss read more

So this review is more by my 10 year old son than by myself, as he always insists on going here. He really likes the haircuts there, I mean really. Personally I will say that, for the amount of business they do the wait times are very good. Their system is a little different, think of it as controlled chaos. If you do not insist on seeing a specific barber your wait times will be much shorter, and they all do a good job. They are polite and professional. The prices are very reasonable. At the time of writing this review I think it is $14, but I always just leave a $20 as they work hard and consistently do a good job. The cuts they do seem almost artistic in nature, definitely nothing like supercuts or similar chain shops. The ambiance is nice, rockabilly but not a complete dive. Really nothing negative to say about this place. read more

The Chop Shoppe - #1 on the sides, fade. - Barbers Near Me - Lancaster, California

Best barber shop around hands down trust me I'm very picky on who cuts my hair and this place doesn't disappoint, every barber is at top of there game. I've been to every barber shop in the AV and others in LA and never found a place like this how lucky I am to have the best barber shop in my own back yard. I've recommended this place to friends and family and their now regular customers also, the shop is great but the talent is what keeps me coming back I would follow these barbers to whenever there career takes them. read more

Brought my husband and son here for haircuts. We arrive 30 minutes before the posted closing time and as we were walking up a woman opened the door, looked at us and then closed and locked the door. I looked inside and the shop was empty, they just decided to close early even though we were obviously trying to go there. I was shocked that they would be so rude. I their actions as a sign the chop shop didn't want my money. Now my husband goes to Brandon at La Barberia on Lancaster Blvd. They always give my boys a great cut and will work them in when needed. read more

This place is AMAZING!!! Everyone is so friendly and although they share a parking lot with some vehicle businesses I've never had an issue with parking. I think one time out of the whole year I visited this establishment did I park out in the street. My husband is very particular about his hair and it was kind of a challenge to find a place when we moved to the AV back in late 2017. Also I have always wanted an undercut (for fashion and psoriasis reasons) but the look isn't very popular out here (I had a couple hair stylists be kind of rude about the request). We actually came across The Chop Shoppe in Quartz Hill but my husband said the one on Sierra Hwy is bigger. Most of the review goes to Vicky though. What an amazing person she is. Incredibly kind, funny, and talented. She had no issues with my psoriasis spots. She styled both my hair and my husband's hair amazing every time. We were so happy after every cut! My husband and I always made appointments. She was always punctual and if we ever had to wait it was like 5 minutes most. We had now moved to Denver and I wish we could have taken her with us! But we wish her ALL the luck in the world!!! read more

Ive come here for my sons haircut since his first! The BEST barbers, the BEST customer service, the BEST cuts, and the BEST atmosphere! They make you feel like a friend they haven't seen in while how personal your experience is each time! What kind of shop offers you a beer, and kids candy while they wait? They do! Not many places are willing to get to know you or your children. They will get it down so good that they know what cut you or your child likes and I'll deliver nothing less than perfection, Every. Single. Time! Yes, sometimes you have to wait a while...suck it up because it's worth it! You never want to go to a place that's quick. That shows there is no passion and they just want you to get out and go to the next one. Quality over quantity! My family has been loyal customers for years. Even when they opened the second shop, we all support! As should you, this is an amazing business, ran by an amazing man, and every employee/artist/barber/human who works here is great! read more

This was my first time ever stepping into a barber shop for my own haircut. I've had long hair my whole life so I've always gone to salons. I recently chopped it off into a pixie and this is still new for me. I met Diamond, today, and she was very kind. She really listened to my biggest want which was to still to look feminine & soft. She took her time and talked me through the process. She truly delivered and I can't wait to go back and see her again. Thank you so much for great quality and care!! read more

So I've been meaning to write a review for a while now totally blanked out about it but seeing that I'm at work with nothing to do ,here it goes lol so I just recently moved out to Lancaster about 6 months now. At the Being I was going to Supercuts (don't judge me) but wasn't sure where to go and I was very nervous about trying a new barbershop out here , I've been going to only two shops out in LA vinny's barber shop & American vantage and man my barber was my guy for many years out there. But sadly had to make the move out here for family reasons, but any how I got introduced to this amazing shop here and met Mark! And man I gotta say thank god I found this place cause since I've been going here I've not only been enjoying the shop it self it's amazing ! But the quality of barbers there is so tops ! Thank you for reading read more

This place is great. Made 10am appt with Joseph 2 days prior & was sitting down by 10:02 this morning! As usual, it was a freezing cold barber shop..(Thank YOU)...an oasis here in the desert! Sat down with a mop and got a flattop/awesome crew cut if flattened out! Joseph was a very focused barber...even though I began passing out from heat exhaustion from the previous day while he was half way through cutting... Embarrassing to say the least! ...but the dude got me a cold glass of water and turned on even COLDER fan to help cool me down. This shop is wonderful. Thank you, Joseph! You saved my ass & gave me a helluva haircut under stress! This is the second time going here...definitely my PERMANENT barber shop! Will see you soon! (Won't pass out next time!) -Jeremiah read more

Showed up when they opened, out of 3 barbers 2 were open while the other was cutting. They had clients ahead, which would be usually fine, except for the part where the clients were late by almost 20 minutes. However, instead of taking someone else they made me wait. Another guy also came in to get a cut but they didn't take either of us because they had their 2 clients which were late by not 5 or 10 but almost 20 minutes. The whole time they were just talking to each other. I've never been to a business that prioritizes late clients over customers who are already there, dumb af. If you hope to get a walk in cut be prepared to wait even though there's available chairs read more
