I hired Corey and his crew to paint my home that is currently being remodeled. I paid him for the service plus the cost of materials. The crew that came rushed through the initial paint job. There was wall paint on the ceiling in some places and in others ceiling paint on the walls. I had to ask them to clean paint off of my new pellet stove in my living room as they did not have it covered while painting. They also put 2 holes in my master bathroom wall that still needs to be repaired. The paint job was horrible and patchy. The wall paint was thin and did not cover completely. When asked to return to fix the problems the problems just got worse. They tried to patch the bathroom holes and did a terrible job. They repainted around the ceiling and top of the walls to fix the over paint and did not tape the lines so there was still paint on the walls and ceiling that didn't belong. The 3rd time they came to fix what they had done I had just had my hardwood floors installed. The painters Got paint all over my brand new floors. Said he had dirty drop clothes so he didn't want to use them. He Used and stole my tools from my garage. He even Took and broke my swiffer out of my garage to clean the wet paint off my brand new wood floors. When he did that he got paint in the wood grain of my hand scraped wood floors that will not come off. When I spoke to Corey, The owner, Corey Told me to file a claim and also told me to hire another painter. Said the crew he provided was fired for their poor performance and he had nothing else to give. I'm so disappointed that someone can provide such terrible unprofessional service and not care or try to help fix the problem. Hope you learn from my mistakes and hire someone else read more

One word, HONEST comes to mind. Hardworking and does what he says he's going to do. We live in Hawaii but needed my parents home remodeled inside out, after a bad renter situation and after my elderly parents moved home to Hawaii. I found Corey on Craigslist, initially. He was friendly and had time available to go to my parents home and provide a bid. The bid was such a reasonable bid, I was concerned since many local competitors were twice as much. I asked Corey for references and called each one. I googled his company and his references and license was insured and bonded. Great! I hired him! He is highly communicative, did everything he said and more. His crew arrived on time, worked long hours and finished quickly. Corey's team painted our entire interior over the span of 5 days. The first day he comes a man short and tells us that one guy quit the previous week and his other guy didn't show up this morning, which meant he was fired. So it was just Chris who would be working that day instead of the 2-3 we'd been told. Chris left midday after saying he didn't feel well. Corey came the second day with Chris and another guy named Mike. I believe Mike had been hired the night before. Corey got our paint and dropped it off for his guys and left. Third day, Corey came again to get more paint for his crew and then left. We did not see him again until it was time to pay. That sucked because it meant that either my husband or I had to get the paint as it was needed (along with extra wall texture) and we did not get the discount that Corey did. We did eventually get his number so we could get the discount, but to me it seems like if the homeowner wants you to get the paint and you agree then you should get the paint the whole time. We wanted this job done as quickly as possible so we just did it ourselves but it bugged. Luckily my husband was here almost the entire time otherwise I would have had to drag my 4 little kids down there with me and that would not have been fun! Mike seemed sloppy in his trim work and putting things back on like switch plates. One was completely cracked, a couple others were haphazardly screwed on with the screws threaded wrong. Everything (like racks) that was taken off the walls was rehung but there are a pile of screws left over that makes one wonder what is going to come crashing down. Not huge stuff, but not conscientious work. Our biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness. They did not ask before using both our bathtubs to clean their equipment. Of course I would have said they could use them because they had to clean up somewhere, but I should have been asked. They left the tubs clogged and filthy and often their rollers in the tub. Again, if they had to leave it there to drain, fine. But let me know or something. Its just a respect issue. It took 15 minutes to scrub the tubs any time we had to use them. Wall texture spray specks were left on the floor, shower curtains, windows, whatever was in the way. Not a lot, but enough that you were like, "Really?". It could have been wiped with a cloth immediately afterward if one was being thorough. Apparently there was a big flood or something while we were gone one day as a stack of sodden towels were left on top of the washing machine. I didn't notice them till after they were done with the job but nothing was ever mentioned. It looked like it had been a lot of water. The total on fixing the walls came in 3x higher than the quote and some things were patched that I weren't aware were problems while other minor but obvious things were undone. I have to wonder if the extra time spent repairing walls was wholly legitimate but whatever. The walls look good and I'm not unhappy with the work, but I would not use them again. read more

I have no idea how this guy has so many good reviews....Our nightmare begain with him constantly wanting to up his original quote (in the middle of the job) then he complained about not being able to get the paint to stick (you are a "professional" painter with years of experience..right)...then when the job is supposed to be done we show up to find he had not put back any of the doors ...switchplates...so, we called him and he said "as far as he was concerned the job was finished" Really? So picking up your tarps and finishing the job we paid you to do is "finished". Well when we rehung the doors and removed the tarps he left we saw why he didn't want to finish the job...he had gotten paint all over the brand new carpet we had just put in!!! In short...hire someone else or get ready to babysit your painter... read more

We hired Corey's painting. I don't think there is a straight line in the house. Parts of the walls did not have paint covering them completely. There is paint on my light fixtures. Seemed to be nice fellas but as far as their painting skills I am in doubt of. He charges buy the wall, ceiling and trim. You provide the paint. Ended up being very expensive. I even had them end painting trim that continued on the same wall because it was a different room. Who does that! They painted around a corner that went to another room and stopped after a couple of inches. Any way I could go on an on. Too bad. read more

We recently hired Coreys to paint the outside of our home. The painters were great but Corey misquoted the job and when it was brought to his attention he got bad and started to swear at us. I have done close to 20 paint jobs since we own rentals I never seen such more management from a firm. read more

While Corey is very nice we weren't happy with our kitchen cabinets that he painted. First, most days he showed up later then he said he would, two days he didn't show up at all. There was a lot of overspray - on the walls, hard wood floor, our patio & exterior walls where the drawers were painted. Finally, the cabinets have paint runs, missed spots, some doors have the previous dark wood color still showing through (cabinets were painted white). We will be going through to finish the touch ups, repaint the walls to cover the overspray, tediously scrap the paint out of the hard wood floor grooves, and will have to live with rest. I hired Corey to paint my house trim and deck. Corey did not follow through on services he either stated he would do or were listed in his estimate. For example, he said he would back brush the deck after painting and did not. He also said he would primer the entire deck. He did not. Paint began to peel and there was clearly no primer. In addition, the service was unprofessional. Tarps were not put down to collect paint chips. When the deck was finally painted, one thick coat was done instead of two or three thinner coats. The result was that it taking the deck a long time to dry. A chair was used on the deck and when the chair was picked up, it stuck to the paint and brought some up. While there were weather concerns, it still was obviously a very hurried job. It appeared to us that Corey was more concerned about being paid than doing the best job he could. read more

Knew we were in trouble when first day on the job the only guy that showed up said his nickname was "Drippy". Lived up to his name. Had paint all over my hardwood floors where tarp did not cover, windows, even dog. Had paint on shoes and tracked paint through rooms that they did not even paint. Tarps on the floor where sandy and dirty......had to sweep the dirt off the floors and took 3 times to steam my hardwood floors to get them clean. We don't wear our shoes in the house so can imagine the stress of worrying if my floors would come clean. Owner only came for couple of hours so painters were left alone. A lot of chatter during painting and no attention to detail and was sloppy at best. Had to do a lot of touchup at end of their job. Put plastic over my chandelier and yanked on it to remove....as it was swinging....tried to figure out how I would replace it to match the others in my home. They made the comment this was the first time the painter used a 18" roller......which was obvious. First time we did not tip workers for job done. Would have loved to hire them to paint our upstairs, but don't know how I would be able to clean up a mess on my carpets. read more
