I can't say enough good things about this place. I started coming in 2019, took a little break during COVID, and then came back strong the summer of 2022. When I started I would take HPF classes because I liked the set sequence and intense heat. I've shifted over time and now take mostly C2 and Sculpt, occasionally a C3. However I could take any class and enjoy it. The teachers are great and the studios are well kept and spacious. I go everyday, unless I'm sick, and it is truly apart of my wellness routine. I feel grounded and stronger after every class; I go to 6am or 7am classes during the week before work. Some may say the price is a lot, but if you go often then it's really quite affordable. Some say it can get busy or crowded..but that just means people like it. It's really what you make of it. I've learned to adapt, practicing patience and kindness. It's helped me on and on off the mat. I appreciate this space. read more

Took my first class ever at core power here at the Westlake location. The staff greeted me in the front was nice. They handed me a welcome packet and let me know where to go. They had a pretty big locker room, and it was fully equipped for women. I appreciated that so much. Now for the class, it was pretty intense, but the instructor was really sweet and didn't pressure anybody to go too hard. My biggest critique of this whole thing was how packed the class itself was. I didn't really feel like there was enough room to move around. Another thing I didn't like was how people were lined up out of the door before our class was even over they were trying to rush in and we're just kind of in the way as people were trying to exit. Will just start by saying I've been a CPY-er for 8 years in 3 different cities and have loved it. But I wanna mention something that seems to have become a real issue in the last 6 months. The heat and, more so, the humidity are out of control in SO many classes these days (at several studios, not just WL). Even though there is a clear chart posted in each studio with the temps and percentages that each class level is to be set at, it seems like each instructor just does whatever they want, unfortunately. I'm ALL for the hot yoga, that's why I go to CPY, but please keep it at the standards that we pay for. Don't set the class to 105 degrees if it's supposed to be at 98 max in a C2, please. I was in a C2 yesterday and saw the tstat said 108. That's insane. I'm paying 200 bucks a month and I want to not be distracted from my workout and my zen by the fact that either I can't breathe or am feeling like I'm dying from how hot and humid you've made it in the room. Please don't crank it up just because one person asked you to, or because you want to. I want to leave feeling like I kicked ass in the correct amount of heat, not was tortured by it and had to leave early to escape it. read more

I'll start off by saying I've done plenty of hot yoga but not at Core Power. I love love loved Paige's C3. It was hot and challenging but it made sense. The heat helped deepen the flow and enhanced the experience. I also went to a C2 and loved that too. The C3 & C2 were 10 out of 10 for me. I was considering joining but then I went to a sculpt. I've done other yoga resistance and even hot Pilates. I'm an Orange Theory regular so my cardio capacity is decent. The heat in Monday night sculpt was irresponsible. It was so humid you couldn't see anything. It was so crowded the guy next to me (no fault of his own) was just raining sweat down on me. Women in the locker room were saying they almost passed out, one said she believed she had blacked out for a minute. Doing kick boxing moves when there is an inch between each mat and the heat and humidity are so crazy you can barely hold your weights? What is the point? It was the equivalent of running in a trashbag... I sweat a ton but was basically just overheating instead of getting a proper workout. There is so much potential in adding weight resistance to a yoga class but this was a waste of time and hydration. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at CorePower Yoga. The classes are extremely overpacked to the point where there is literally no personal space. It felt unsafe and unhygienic, especially with people coughing and sneezing in a heated room where everyone is packed tightly together and struggling to breathe comfortably. I raised this concern with the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do, and that they sometimes even fit more people into classes that are already at capacity. That was frustrating to hear given how crowded it already was. Overall, the environment felt unprofessional and poorly managed. Phones also weren't being answered, which added to the feeling that concerns aren't really being addressed. I really wanted to like this studio, but the overcrowding and lack of responsiveness made it a negative experience. read more

I went to core power for a while, but the classes ended up getting way too overcrowded. They also burn incense and when you're doing hot yoga, it tends to be extremely bothersome. You don't get what you pay for. I will say Skyler was amazing. I truly enjoyed her classes and helpful direction. read more

I love CorePower Yoga. There are classes for everyone form C1-C3, sculpt (with weights), unheated Strength X (even heavier weights) and HPF which is similar to Bikram (set sequence). With the unlimited membership you can go to any of the studios. Westlake of course is my favorite! read more

Location is a bit weird and behind other buildings which confuses maps, so I didn't find it right away and was a bit late. So I didn't get to actually go to the class because I was late by 4 minutes and apparently they have a 3 minute late cut off policy that I wasn't informed about. No one at the door and door was locked which made me think maybe class wasn't happening. Then as I'm leaving the parking lot I see door open and I ask if they are closed and they tell me about this ridiculous 3 minute rule. She said class is full and she can't let me in although I had a reservation for that class. So unfortunately can't comment on the quality of class, if you wanna go be sure to show up early to actually find the place because they don't have much of a late grace period. read more

in the spirit of mindfulness, i share my concerns about corepower westlake. the atmosphere here feels tainted by arrogance, particularly among certain practitioners. there's a distinct air of superiority that can be repulsive. the female managers seem disconnected from the true essence of yoga, focusing more on appearance than on the principles that guide this practice. if this culture persists, i fear for the future of corepower. without genuine connection and humility, they may not withstand the test of time. let us hope for a shift toward authenticity and community. read more

First time trying CorePower Yoga....was excited to try it out. Was a bit bummed that it was hot yoga...I don't remember reading that when I signed up for the class. But when we got there, we decided to give it a go despite having tried hot yoga before and not liking it. The class seemed overly crowded and that's not something I really like. I wish they would cap the class size to a smaller group because we were literally on top of each other and had to watch out limbs to make sure we do not hit the person beside us or next to us which is distracting. I haven't decided if I want to sign up for a membership based on this...... read more

I love the Westlake Village Core Power Yoga! I started here as a complete beginner and was nervous about the heat (since I had not done that before.) The staff here made me feel extremely comfortable and discussed how I might acclimate to and prepare myself for the heat over time, which proved helpful. The facilities are nice and extremely clean, the locker rooms don't feel gross the way so many do and they have lots of nice little amenities. I have to shout out instructors Rebecca and Justin in particular. They both create such a lovely, inclusive, calming atmosphere in their classes - paired with challenging sets that don't feel intimidating in the moment, but I feel in my muscles afterwards. And they provide hands on instruction in the room that feels respectful but is very helpful! I think my practice has genuinely improved and I have become stronger since coming here. It's also nice that their unlimited monthly fee is on the lower end for a lot of the studios in the area - it's definitely worth for the price. read more

Writing this review for my girlfriend, as she doesn't have Yelp. She had the free week period which had started on a Monday. When scheduling classes, you press book online, which then provides an email confirmation that you did in fact book the class. She had went to classes throughout the week, and enjoyed the classes. They were challenging and provided a good workout with thorough instruction. She had booked through for the following Monday (the last day of the free period), and received the confirmation email, confirming that the class was still available with her free week period. This was further confirmed as she tried to book the next day, but had to put a credit card in to confirm the session, rather than just receiving the email. She had arrived at the Monday class 15 minutes early ready to check in, where she was met by Mia, who had asked her how she would like to pay. Despite having the confirmation email from the free week period, Mia had tried to charge her for the class, despite being able to book it with the free week. Mia then gave her the option of paying for a drop-in class ($34) for the (already confirmed free) Monday session, or pay $18 for the next two weeks. My girlfriend then offered to step out of line for the next customers so she could make a decision, which then led to Mia pressuring her into making a decision on the spot, as she had "already set up the payment plans." Upon further research, it seemed that Mia was the instructor for the class my girlfriend had signed up for. Not sure if the instructors get paid based on session attendees or not, but overall an unpleasant enough experience to take what would have been a five star review down to three stars. read more

I am a class passer so I go to several different work outs at different gyms. And this place is one of the best I have ever been. They are extremely welcoming to all people and all levels. However I will say it's a very intense workout. The rooms are 100 degrees with added humidity. And most classes are faster paced so start with the Yoga 1 for the first time. I've done sculpt which is very intense. Constant yoga movement and also with weights. I felt like passing out half way through. Yoga 2 I like as a good intense class but not too intense. And I'm waiting to try HPF because I heard that's the craziest. A few cons, however, the rooms get really packed which sucks when doing yoga in an already hot ass room. Lol. Parking is also hard because it's in the back of the Sprouts parking lot in a hidden corner. Lastly, you need two towels - one large one to cover your entire mat so that you don't slip off of it from all of your sweat, and another one to wipe yourself with. However, they don't offer towels for free, they make you pay two dollars apiece which I feel is a little ridiculous for how elite and expensive this type of the gym is. Other gyms at this price give free towels. Additionally, there are no wipes for your mat after either. If they had a few of those things, it would hands down be 5 starts for me. read more

Called and no one answered the phone or opened the doors even when I saw someone walk by. Been shopping studios in the area and was hoping to check this one out since I'm too rushed during the week. I've also heard great things. Really bummed that no one was available today to see the place and sign up for my first class. For the past couple of months, I've been looking for a nice yoga studio around the Agoura Hills / Westlake Village / Thousand Oaks area to do a "corporate bonding" activity. I attended weekly yoga classes while at a previous company, and my coworkers and I loved the experience. I was eager to bring it to my current place of employment and assess whether or not it would take off and potentially become a routine. The plan was to find a yoga studio that could provide an instructor to teach a private 60-minute class, as close to 5pm as possible. I called and emailed several yoga studios in the area. Some were more responsive than others, but many shut me down. Either they didn't do private classes, or they didn't offer private classes during the weekdays, or they asked for way too much money. A couple studios were willing to work with me, but they just didn't seem to want to. It sounded like it was all quite a hassle for them to put together. Just not the right vibe. Monica the Studio Manager responded to my initial inquiry email, and she was very helpful from the start. Right away, she laid out the costs and what CorePower could provide for my group. We could choose between a female or male instructor, and we could pick a level of expertise. She put me in touch with Nikki, the instructor, and everything just came together. Our class included access to the amenities, mats, towels, etc. Water bottles are available for purchase, but I brought our own. We had the option of doing the class heated (as in, hot yoga) or regular. We opted for regular, though we did the class right after a hot yoga session and the room was still quite steamy. If you've never been to CorePower, I would highly suggest driving around until you find it. Don't just park and try to walk up and down the area. It's in the very center of the plaza, behind Sprouts, and in between a whole lot of nothing. Everyone in our group ended up getting lost. Inside, the front of CorePower is a retail store full of workout gear and accessories. The lockers and yoga rooms are toward the back and sides. There's weights, too. The class itself was a lot of fun. Everyone in the group agreed that Nikki is a great instructor and the staff were accommodating. A couple people did note that the provided mats were in need of more cleaning, though. Especially since the studio does hot yoga, I can imagine how disgusting those mats can get. I love this place. I got introduced to it after winning a free one month membership. I love their Hot Power Fusion, if you are bored with traditional Bikram yoga then this is a good alternate. Core Power 2 was my other favorite class. Their other famous class, Yoga Sculpt is not for the faint hearted, literally. I am usually good with intense workouts but that one kicked my butt. The combination of heat and yoga with weights really gets you. If you are looking for a class that combines resistance training, cardio and yoga, then you should definitely try yoga sculpt. I burnt about 700 calories in an hour, according to my fitbit. The studio is clean and even with sweaty people around you, you won't get disgusted. All the instructors were awesome but I really enjoyed Frank's C2 class. One of the good yoga studios in the area. read more

I've been to many many Corepower studios and this one is just not one that I favor. The studio location is perfect, the staff are really nice and the studio itself is clean. But why do I not care for it, I've been to at least ten classes in the area between Westlake and Thousand Oaks; and every class you take, regardless of class title, the music is so loud I feel like ears are about to bleed or burst. I don't understand why every class regardless of title is like a boot camp/sculpt class. The slowest hottest meditative class is hpf- hot power fusion, yet we are doing mountain climbers and reps. Music is so loud I can't even hear what the instructor is saying. This is not a single instructor issue it's the Thousand Oaks studios issue. Maybe they were taught that way, or maybe the students like the class to be extra loud and I'm just an old lady wanting to be more at peace when I am practicing yoga? They also spend the first 5-10 minutes talking about themselves which drives me crazy because that eats into my class time, I don't mind the intro but can we keep it to a 3 minute max and get into it. Another con is the timing of classes, there are multiple classes that are back to back therefore we are rushed to get out, sometimes the instructor has barely ended the class and I open my eyes and I have a mop in my face. This never happens in oc or la, be mindful and schedule appropriately so that you mop when all students are out of the room. But they can't be because class is suppose to start that minute. How can you thoroughly clean with no time inbetween? Overall, the Thousand Oaks locations make me miss my instructors in la. But it may just be me because everyone else seems to like the loudness, or maybe they don't know any better. I have tried multiple instructors hoping that there were different styles but seems like they are all boot camp style yoga. So if you like boot camp style yoga you will like these locations. Loud music is consistent regardless if you are in c1, c2, hpf, core restore, or sculpt. read more

Ehhh, the studio is past its prime. I used to love this studio a few years ago, but since Covid, it's just not the same. The teachers aren't very good anymore (they seem to all be new), the only one worth taking is Ross. I'm not a fan of the new management they hired, very young and inexperienced, haven't really learned how to properly deal with customers yet. When I asked why the app still wasn't working, one of the managers would just say "that's a great question" in a baby voice as if I was a 10 year old. I miss the studio managed by Monica and Christina. If you are looking to just workout, then this studio might be okay for you, but if you actually enjoyed yoga of any sort, save your money. read more

The staff and teachers here all are sooooo welcoming, warm and so kind. No judgement zone here, you can feel free to be your authentic self. The studio, showers, locker room are always so clean and showers and bathrooms are fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, hair tires and even tampons! You have to check this place out if you have any aches or pains or want to destress from everyday life and connect with your true self. I did a HPF (Hot Power Fusion) drop-in class this AM (Sat). The check in process was easy. They have towels and mats like the other CorePower locations. Locker rooms are clean and stocked with everything you might need including tampons. Monica was my instructor and she was just lovely. She made me feel right at home from the start. The class was INCREDIBLE! Heat was 98-100... definitely hot, but it's great. I worked my rear end off for sure and I felt great when the hour was over. I recommend it. Being a first time mom I was so excited for my first class here. I found the studio entrance hard to find so I was exactly 4 mins late to class. The stuck up rude blonde woman working on Sunday afternoon refused to let me go to class, even after I apologised and explained it was my first time and that I found the studio hard to find and I had hired a baby sitter especially. A bit of compassion goes a long way especially for a first timer and new mom. read more

I've been to all the corepower yogas in the area I believe; west hollywood, brentwood, studio city, sherman oaks, encino and now this one. I can tell you, this location is my favorite and it's worth a little extra drive time when I compare it to other hot yoga studios. First, the vibe is just lovely. Friendly friendly friendly! Not just the staff, but everyone that goes here just seems to be warm and friendly. I like the layout of this location as well, and the upkeep just seems to be spot on; very clean locker rooms, showers, etc. Parking is a breeze and free. It's a bit tucked in the back, but you can park on either side of the shopping center and walk through the center to get to the studio. There is always sooooo much parking available. There are also lots of cute cafes and boutiques for shopping and mingling here, which I find enjoyable before or after my yoga class. It's just a lovely time, going to yoga, and then sitting next to a beautiful and zen water feature with a warm coffee or tea and a healthy lunch. Like most Corepowers... The staff are well trained and actually enjoy answering questions that will help deepen and expand your practice- something I greatly appreciate. I've been to non-cp studios, and this isn't always the case. I always enjoy speaking with the teachers here. read more

Went here for the first time today and got the special of 2 weeks free with the yoga mat. WARNING bring your own mat!! The mat they give you for the special is the cheapest one you can get, and smells terrible! Throughout the whole class my partner and I were struggling to breath due to the chemical off gassing from the yoga mats we had just bought. Beware the orange mats. It was a really bad first impression. I would hope a yoga studio would be health conscious/environmentally conscious when choosing their products, especially the mats they use as a "special" for first guests. I returned the mat immediately after class but my boyfriend and I still have headaches. Not even sure if I will go back. read more

Took my first core power class yesterday, C1 with Courtney, and it was awesome! I have an athletic figure, go to the gym a few times a week, but I knew that Yoga would be a different workout. Oh boy it was! Courtney kicked my butt, and I was sweating... A LOT! Mind you this was the 85 degree class, so I couldn't only imagine what the 100 degree class would be like! I love Gabi!!! She's very knowledgable and gives every student that personal training attention we all want and need. In my 25 on and off years of practicing yoga she has taught me how to safely and correctly go into postures that I didn't even realize I was doing wrong. The teachers at the CorePower location in Thousand Oaks are very nice and motivating. I like I've said earlier, I love CorePower's overall flow.. Classes are extremely structured which I need. Sculpt, HPF, and C2 are my strengthening regimen. I only docked a star because the layout of this location was very confusing. It took me forever to find the water bottle filling station, finally, I found it in the middle of the store lol.. weird placement if you ask me.. usually it is near the yoga studios or in front of the locker rooms. The locker rooms themselves were also placed weirdly... I won't be back here since the Goleta location is walking distance of the grandparents' house. Cheers! read more

Brad taught the first yoga class I had done in about three years, just a starting level class. The room was full but not packed like sardines. There was enough room to not accidentally make contact with someone else. The studio was warm, about 80 degrees, but not a hot yoga class. I was surprised that the music was more like an aerobics class, but I'm up for something new. It worked. I could hear his voice and it provided a beat to flow to. Brad was very respectful saying he would modify our poses if anyone needed them, but to raise our hand if we did not want to be touched. His flow was steady, well instructed and a good solid experience. I like that I did not feel that sense of competition I used to see in some studios; no yoga divas or egos that usually take some of the healing energy out of a class for me. The class was challenging even though it was a beginner level. I was glad that it wasn't the first yoga class in my life. This one was not for a very first timer, some experience needed for sure. At the end of the glass my mind was cleared and my body felt better than it has in quite a while. Everyone was soaking wet. This class was part of a promotional one week of unlimited yoga for free offer. They said for $9.00, just $9.00, I could get one additional week of unlimited yoga. Hmm, essentially two weeks of all the yoga I want for less than two latte's. Deal. Then came the icing on the cake, a complementary yoga mat AND really good conversation with the folks around the desk. I loved that Brad chatted as well and seemed to take a genuine interest in people talking with him. Yep, think I've found a good spot. read more

This studio was way overcrowded, they must do a better job at getting a headcount because there were physically too many people in the room. Everyone was bumping each other, kicking water bottles over and I was even dodging the yoga teachers arms which she demonstrated basically on my mat. The heat was pointless, it just makes your skin wet, it doesn't deepen your practice. The room is outdated, the mirrors were covered in streaks and the teachers never once stopped talking. This studio is the reason I practice at home. read more
