They had a pretty big locker room, and it was fully equipped for women. I appreciated that so much. Now for the class, it was pretty intense, but the instructor was really sweet and didn't pressure anybody to go too hard. My biggest critique of this whole thing was how packed the class itself was. I didn't really feel like there was enough room to move around. Another thing I didn't like was how people were lined up out of the door before our class was even over they were trying to rush in and we're just kind of in the way as people were trying to exit. Overall, I'd probably return to a larger location.

The heat and, more so, the humidity are out of control in SO many classes these days (at several studios, not just WL). Even though there is a clear chart posted in each studio with the temps and percentages that each class level is to be set at, it seems like each instructor just does whatever they want, unfortunately. I'm ALL for the hot yoga, that's why I go to CPY, but please keep it at the standards that we pay for. Don't set the class to 105 degrees if it's supposed to be at 98 max in a C2, please. I was in a C2 yesterday and saw the tstat said 108. That's insane. I'm paying 200 bucks a month and I want to not be distracted from my workout and my zen by the fact that either I can't breathe or am feeling like I'm dying from how hot and humid you've made it in the room. Please don't crank it up just because one person asked you to, or because you want to. I want to leave feeling like I kicked ass in the correct amount of heat, not was tortured by it and had to leave early to escape it.

There are some very strong women & men who want to see us students grow and develop our practice at WYC. Westlake Yoga co is a community that feels like a family. When you enter, you are greeted by smiling faces, welcoming you, and offering towels, yoga mats and whatever else a yogi needs to have their best experience. I love it there, and the hot room feels like my safe space, where I can go to flow, and really get into a deep place in my mind, allowing me to work through whatever I am going through that day. We also always remember to laugh and have some fun! The teachers are always professional and make 100% sure that all of the students are safe, prepared for what they are about the experience & always keep us hotties happy, by keeping the room hot, while fanning the door to let air in at the appropriate times. My life has changed for the better in that room and by practicing yoga & I hope that anyone who tries it has the same experience. Sometimes it is hard, and we push through as a community & that makes us all a little stronger! WYC offers a large variety of classes, including strength & mat Pilates, vinyasa flow classes, sound healing and educational classes & we always have fun!! Don't skip out on the magical sound classes, breathe work & educational classes that teach us more about yoga and our journey through life. The studio is beautiful, always clean, offers showers, and drinks to cool you off after class, along with a cool lavender towel, that all students get at the end of class to cover our eyes, during Savasana or just to lay over us and inhale the lovely smell of lavender. The teachers are all amazing, never just repeating words, but teaching with intention, care for thier students, and a true love for yoga. You get a physical work out, along with a mental detox, tools to help you through the hard times & you make some great friends along the way! Namaste

I've been an annual member of the studio through three owners, for 14 years. Hot yoga has literally…read moresaved my life. I couldn't really stand upstreet when I first got here. Every class still hurts , but I feel better in between classes. Brandon and Tyler, the current owners, are fabulous. They have upgraded the studio from the one hot room that it used to be adding two much larger rooms and lots of new types of classes (most of which are beyond my capabilities) including barre, flow, HIIT, sculpt, pilates, meditation, yin, and more. The community continues to grow. Us OG"s love the new energy. They offer lots of deals and even frequent opportunities to come try a free class to see what fits. I'm starting teacher training in a week. Time I give back. Trust me, I don't do it perfect, am struggling with injuries. It can still work and heal you.

I didn't expect much after signing up through ClassPass but am happy to report I'm 5 classes in and still loving it. I regularly attend intense hot yoga at nearby studios, but love the focus on the art of the practice and gentleness here at Harmony Family Yoga. I really enjoyed the Gentle Yoga with SoundBath class with Cici Bo. She's a great instructor and has such a calming presence. Harmony family yoga is perfect for beginners or those far into their practice, definitely drop by!
