I LOVE this yoga studio! The space and teachers are intentional, warm and welcoming. The classes are small, so you feel a sense of community and plenty of space to breathe. Everything you might need is provided if you don't have your own. The teachers are top notch, teaching their classes to the needs and requests of those in attendance. Offering options for varying levels of difficulty as well as adaptations when needed. If you have a schedule that is changing all of the time, it is often possible to sign up last minute with no problem. The types of classes are varied so you'll be sure to find something that meets what you're looking for. They even offer belly dancing and sound bath classes on the weekend. A space of support and encouragement is created. I often hear people at the end of class commenting on how much better they feel. And if you're in it for the Shavasana, this place does not disappoint! So sign up, show up and escape your reality for an hour+. You'll be so glad you did. read more

I was a newbie to the yoga world, but knew that I needed to work on taking better care of my body. My wife suggested I take a low impact, stretch yoga class. I was skeptical until that 1st class. Robin was the teacher and she so warmly welcomed me into this unknown world. I am not very limber, nor very versed in this new practice. After a few months of weekly classes, I couldn't be happier and look forward to going each and every week. What truly amazes me is how Robin's doesn't just instruct, she cultivates the whole mind, body and spirit of your yoga practice. I did try a couple of other classes and none came close to comparing. They just seemed to only focus on the physical aspect, when I have been taught that there is so much more. If you are considering joining a yoga class, this is a great place to start! read more

I am so grateful for Bodysattva. In a sea of hot yoga studios, Bodysattva is (literally!) a breath of fresh air. The slow flow class is my favorite. The kind and knowledgeable teachers take their time to help with accommodations/adjustments to ensure proper alignment during each pose. It's a class for everyone - from someone who is new to yoga to someone who has spent years on the mat. It's a class that brings you back into your body and helps slow and focus your mind. I love the addition of meditation and breath work as well. I always leave feeling lighter in body and mind. And the positivity I feel after class influences the rest of my day. I met first with Shana Berger, owner/partner (and no relation!), who was just wonderful and very nice. Ok this review is long overdue..I have been a patient of Dr. Berger for many years! That is because she is the best! I always come out of her office feeling so much better than when I went in. She is a miracle worker! Just one example... a couple of weeks ago I could barely walk with a lower back issue. I had a new grandchild about to arrive any day so I had to be functioning in tip top shape to watch my other grandson. I'm not sure what she did exactly but the next day I was rearing to go! She is very thorough in her examination of the problem and knows how to correct it. Diana Prevatte is my massage/physical therapist. She has magical hands and is my angel for many years now also. The combination of the 2 of them works out really well! Matt and Crystal are always friendly and efficient! and I could go on and on... Bodysattva provides top-notch care. Dr. Shana Berger does so much more than provide adjustments - she seeks out the root cause of the problem and seeks to correct it. She spends the entire 30-minute appointment with her patients, which, for me, often includes deep tissue massage, as well as an adjustment. When I first started seeing Dr. Berger, I had headaches nearly every day. Now I might get a headache once a month and that let's me know its time to go back for a visit because the muscles and tendons in my neck and shoulders are too tight. The massage therapists are also incredibly well-trained in therapeutic massage techniques. I can tell them what Dr. Berger is working on and they will follow suit with extra attention in those areas. They will even provide me with small massage or stretching techniques to use between visits. The staff are incredible friendly and helpful, even with annoying requests for documentation for my flexible spending account. read more

By far the best yoga studio I have ever been to. Small classes almost personalized. They pay attention to your technique and posture and make corrections. Your not just lost in a big crowd. You also don't need to bring anything with you they have everything you need, mats, blocks, straps, blankets. Shana Berger is not just a great chiropractor.. She is a body mechanic ! I have suffered for years from cronic low back pain that also traveled to my hip and groin. I made an appt with her just to say "I've tried everything ". The 1st thing your told is to plan on an hour and a half for your 1st appt. I've never heard of such a thing! So that just made me really curious...! When i arrived i wasn't placed on a rolling table which is common practice for every chiropractor I've ever been to and trust me its been many! She called me in, asked questions from the questionnaire i had previously filled out...then proceeded to check me out from head to toe. Asking me to bend, twist...stand on one foot..forward backward..you name it i did it! Then she had me get on the adjustment bed and did some gentle massage as she felt around my joints and found all the spots that made me cringe. After some gentle adjustments she did flipped me over and repeated! She then uttered those magic words and told me she knew what was going on and why i have chronic pain! Honestly i was shocked...no one and i mean no one has ever had a reason or any explanation to what and why I've been living like this! After some talking she made the recommendation that i wear a specific type of brace..do some gentle strengthening excercises and give it time. She also wants me to come in as needed..not 3 times a week for the next million years! I haven't felt this great in years! Thank you Shana! I received a 90 minute massage from Diana today. I found her by researching LMTs in the area. I went to the Bodysattva website and read the bios of the team there. They are all very interesting and informative. Diana was the therapist I felt I wanted to see first. She lived up to her description. She demonstrated peace and calm. She helped me feel secure and able to relax. Her touch is warm and healing. Her strokes are long and often slow and focused. I normally find it difficult to relax enough to actually doze off during a session and today I found myself lightly snoring during certain slower, energetic healing moments. I am going back to Bodysattva. Next time I go I will be seen by Dr. Shana Berger as well as a massage therapist.
