Kenzie is my favorite instructor at the Maple Grove location. The other instructors seemed really nice as well. Came to the Maple Grove location for a special event and it was perfect! Locker rooms with showers- I think about 5-6, a decent amount of lockers, staff seem friendly and very clean Core Power sells apparel, yoga mats, snacks/drinks Free parking lot, by other locations that are nice for shopping, eating, etc read more

I just went to the best C2 class I have ever taken. The music, transitions, and flow made it the perfect experience. Thursday 8pm candlelight with Mackenzie L is an absolute must!! read more

I showed up exactly 1 single minute late to a yoga class and the door to the building was locked with no one at the front desk. I was unable to get in and had to leave which spoiled my evening. For the price of a membership this should NOT be acceptable. I know that I should be on time but no human is perfect and for some people like me, yoga is an escape from my daily life and I do not want to feel stressed about attending classes. I know of other members who this has happened to as well. You NEED to do better. read more

* EXCELLENT teachers * A variety of classes * A clean environment * Ample locker room space and storage * Friendly and helpful staff * Plenty of parking * Small but well-appointed retail offering * Black Tag unlimited membership is a steal read more

If you're looking to sweat, Monday evenings with Erica is where it's at. Bumping playlist = Bumping heart rate. 10/10 recommend.

The ONLY reason that I am giving Core Power1 star is because dealing with their Corporate Office is TERRIBLE!! The studio and all of the teachers at CP Maple Grove are WONDERFUL, so understanding and kind but unfortunately I won't be back because of the horrible experience I had with the corporate office. read more

It was such a great 75-minute Yoga Sculpt class yesterday evening (Sunday @ 330pm) with Kim. I knew she was going to come through with an all Prince playlist. It was a nice way to honor him as she lit the studio with purple lights and fellow yogis glistened in sweat in their variations of purple yoga attire. If you have not taken Kim's class, you must. Her positive energy is quite contagious. She shared her encounter with Prince, which was touching and an awesome memory of him and his family, including a concert she attended. If you see her or take her class in one of the CorePower Yoga studios, you must ask her to share her story. She reminded me/us in class that despite the negative rants we hear about Prince that we should remember that he was giving, generous, and remembered people he encountered. I know that I've taken her class and will be sure to make time to take her class despite ending my membership due to my upcoming busy work schedule and commute. read more

CorePower is essential for those yoga fans who like a challenge. Recommend Sculpt classes. Weak of heart should stay home. read more

I have been going to classes at CorePower Maple Grove since 2018. The teachers here have a true passion for yoga, and you can tell by the effort they put into their classes, and into their students. read more

Initially I thought this would be like every other chain studio with instructors fresh out of school who were apathetic and just trying to get experience. I could not have been more wrong. I'm half way through my free week, and have absolutely loved every class that I've tried. The instructors are engaged and encouraging, no one else in the classes have been judgy, and there are a variety of people in every class with different skill levels- no one is left behind and no one is called out. I always leave feeling relaxed and invigorated. The downside is how expensive the classes are, but there is enough variety and class times that if you're really looking for a yoga home, it will be well worth the cost. read more

I wasn't really a fan of this place. I tried their "candle-lit" yoga class and was at least thinking they would do fake candles, but they had a string of Christmas lights on the floor. Then, after class had begun I noticed their wall says "one week free yoga" yet I had been charged the full $25 which was not worth it in the end. There was little flow to the movements. I have a Masters in Exercise Science (no, i am not a yoga instructor so i could be wrong here)- but some of the advisements of the instructor didn't promote a proper stretch (ie: bend knee enough to touch nose when in the seated forward bend takes away from the stretch of the hamstring so I'd think you'd want to say to keep your legs straight and only go as deep as you can, no?) Anyway, they were super friendly here, the facility was accommodating and clean so I appreciated that but I am disappointed in what I paid for. read more

I have tried a few yoga classes in the past, so when this studio opened near my house I knew I had to check it out. With their free week of unlimited yoga, I have been able to experience three different classes and instructors, and have had a wonderful experience. I plan to sign up for a membership now, which is easier to do because I've been able to experience for myself the studios, instructors, and guest service. The main lobby is small and can get cramped before and after class. The real space is dedicated to two studios, two locker rooms, and a small spa area. The locker rooms (okay, the ladies room) is well appointed with showers, lockers, hairdryers, and basic grooming essentials like hairspray, body lotion, etc. Even though CorePower is a "chain," I have had wonderful instructors who take extra time to teach before and after class, answer questions, and allow us to grow our practice at a pace that works for the individual. read more

I love this yoga studio. In C2 and sculpt the teachers are really able to take ownership of the course and make it their own.

Tried to call a few time to inquire about the spa, but all I got was a busy signal. Investing in a VM box or answering machine might be a good move. read more

I started there with a free week during the summer. I work long hours and they offer a very flexible schedule for their customers to come in for yoga with evening and weekend classes. I cannot get enough of them! read more

I was introduced to Core Power Yoga when traveling in California. They had so many it made it convenient to go. I was new to the yogi world and was interested in a little help on starting. CPY does have a beginner class on up however don't look for hands on teaching and explaining what each move is and what it can do. I was told just follow along and in time you will get it? Well being a Certified fitness instructor this struck me odd. I feel that body mechanics are the first most important and then doing the exercise in unison. NOT at CPY. I am beginning to see a fast, assembly line type of company get em in and out format and not a caring about their clients. Don't get me wrong its a great concept if you know what you are doing. I thought they were great when I started however I now feel a more private not so big changed company studio that will spend time with you and teach all the chakras and body mechanics so you don't get hurt is more important than an assembly line. I asked at the Maple grove, MN location if they would ever have an introduction class at least once a month for beginners and that it might help them in the future to keep clients, they answer was....Not sure ma'm thought we had that and I don't know what happened? I asked a bunch more questions and the girls could not answer much, just a robotic type of answer much like their classes, owner ship and employees. Someone may of overheard me with am personal client explaining this may not be the best place for her at CPY due to little interaction. So my client went the next day to give it one more try and had an instructor named Joni V? and said she was so helpful and even took and extra 20 minutes after class to help her. Not sure if the conversation out in lobby the day before had anything to do with it however i was a bit relieved to hear this. I travel a lot and I have found other studios with far greater knowledge and help for beginners. Other yoga studios are not huge NON franchise companies looking to get in on the huge rage of YOGA right now like CPY. I see CPY as a fad with a great concept, convenient and reasonable, thats what all quick skeem companies are however don't rule them out they are and do have some experienced teachers, some, with compassion. I see CPY some thing like Massage Envy! and that company is not a good place to get an experienced massage. I do want to add that I was told they are not a franchise. until I got to the Maple Grove, MN location. This place also has a spa with massages, facials etc. I looked at their products they use.... I personally would not use them, just my opinion. I also noticed that they sell a cleansing type of drink and or weight mgmt. drinks. When listening to the ppl asking questions about the product not one behind the counter was knowledge about them... scary. and to add to this this particular location is a franchise. hmmm was told they were not. however if you buy more than 2 you can franchise? I will tell you this when checking in they could not find my 5 day pass membership due to they were a franchise and said sorry. :( I really hope they change a few things its a great concept for ppl that think they are doing great things for them selves. when in return they could be damaging themselves due to lack of help and one on one for the body mechanics and components.... read more

I really like the ease of getting into a class here. Its a clean, cute facility that smells just loke a Whole Foods. There is a decent variety for class times. I've only taken a few classes but the class vibe really varies based on the instructor...the music, posture correction, and how much position modeling is illustrated. Overall this has been a very positive introduction to yoga! read more

Studio itself is nice, clean, convenient, they have an good app with schedule and locations. I have been doing yoga for 10 years in different countries and in multiple locations in the USA (mostly East Coast). It is extremely hard to find a quality studio in Minneapolis which has non heated true intermediate/advanced yoga classes, as well as has experienced teachers. I picked this studio because of convenience so got 20 class package. I went to their C1/C2 classes. C2 is super hot so I decided to use C1 and do more there at least to utilize my pass. It is so sad to see that teachers aren't really experienced, sequence is always the same, super standard, no new things they teach, no explanation behind what different poses do to your body, and!!! 30 sec - max 1 minute shavasanas. It is more exercising yoga/pilates class with heat vs yoga studio. If you need more than gym then you should keep searching. read more

I have been practicing yoga on and off for about ten years and have been to many different studios and many different class types. I have been a member at Corepower for over a year now and I love the Bass Lake Road location. I started going to this location because one morning I woke up too late for my usual yoga class and decided to check out other studios in the area. Corepower gives all newcomers a free week unlimited yoga so I figured I'd try it out for a week and if I didn't like it, no loss. I found that I loved the classes there. I also really liked that they had a boutique type area where you can browse yoga clothing and products. All the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. I've tried a variety of classes and they were all wonderful, but my favorite classes are Jenna's YogaSculpt classes. If you are serious about your fitness and want a real challenge, I HIGHLY recommend you check out her class. It's tough, but the pay off is amazing. Jenna will push you to places you didn't think you could go. It's like having your own personal trainer. Her class is the perfect mix of yoga, lifting and cardio. She will keep you sweating the entire hour and the next day you will feel it! Plus she always has the best playlists- a good mix of popular music and throwbacks with some EDM remixes as well. She is a teacher that knows how to most effectively work your entire body in one hour. She's got a really great flow to her classes and every couple weeks she switches up the exercises as well as the music- you'll never get bored. Go check out Corepower on Bass Lake Road- your first week is free so you have nothing to lose. And make sure one of the classes you try is Jenna's YogaSculpt! read more

I just did my free week with Corepower and I loved it! I will be either getting a package or membership here. I took a yogo sculpting class and two other yoga classes level 1 and 2. The instructors are encouraging and fun. The atmosphere is healthy and positive. Very clean, and great customer service. Cannot wait to be a member of Corepower Yoga! read more
