I originally joined CorePower Yoga because of the incredibly welcoming and friendly staff at the Ken Caryl location. However, during my last three visits to the Highlands Ranch studio, I was disappointed by the unwelcoming and cold demeanor of both the front desk staff and the instructors. While I would have chalked it up to a one-time occurrence, the lack of warmth was consistent across all three visits. That said, the Ken Caryl location is still amazing. The staff there is friendly, and they create a wonderful sense of community. I'll continue to attend that studio as much as possible because of the positive experience there. I just hope that the Highlands Ranch location can improve its customer service to match the warmth of Ken Caryl. read more

I joined this Corepower from the RiNo location after moving to Littleton. I had been going to the RiNo location almost daily for four years and had made many friends, and was nervous about being "the new kid", but everyone at the Highlands Ranch Corepower has been so wonderful and welcoming! The instructors are always friendly and happy to see you. The studio is clean and well-maintained. The other yogis are friendly and the vibe here is just good. I think the thing on everyone's mind is how they're handling COVID protocols, though. I joined in the middle of COVID and discovered you had to reserve classes, which is new. The app makes it easy to do so, though. Classes fill up fast, but if you have a Black Tag membership you can book up to two weeks in advance. Showers are closed which makes for a tough morning if you're a before-work-worker-outer like myself, but hopefully those regulations change soon (and they are state-wide, not exclusive to this location). CorePower HR is a win for me! Good class availability (I NEED my 5:45 AM classes), good instructors, and good members. read more

I've been coming to this CPY location for over a year and am absolutely hooked. My usual go to classes are Ruby Tuesdays (C2) and Heather Wednesdays (Sculpt). All the classes and teachers here are amazing. Stacey, the studio manager, is full of energy and her sculpt classes will really kick your butt. CPY is a nationwide yoga studio that was started in Colorado. There are a lot of locations through Colorado. This is great because their black tag membership lets you attend classes in any of their studios. The South Denver Studios are franchised and hence a few differences, like a much needed lemon towel at the end of class (which I didn't get when I went to the non-franchises). They also have their own individual summer challenges, like getting $40 store credit after you complete 40 classes in the summer. The highlands ranch studio is pretty amazing and definitely my current go-to. The rooms and bathrooms are well-kept. I love the free hairbands because I always forget mine. The classes usually aren't super crowded even if I arrive a few minutes before class. It's conveniently located in a shopping plaza with a target, there's plenty of parking and it's easy to grab food, coffee or smoothie after yoga! read more

I attended a free CP1 class here a couple of months ago. Diane was a great instructor, friendly, and welcoming. The layout is a little confusing but the staff are more than happy to show you around. Spacious studio with natural light, and they have free classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. What's not to love? read more

This is a great yoga studio. I have immensely enjoyed yoga as a form of exercise, stress relief and meditation since I tried my first corepower class a little over a year ago. I have tried many studios and the Highlands Ranch location is great. The studios are spacious and updated and the locker rooms are plenty big. I have enjoyed all of the instructors I've had so far. I love working out in the morning before work and I love the energy and positive vibes from the 5:45 am instructors! The only negative is the price, which is a corepower standard pricing schedule, nothing to do with Highlands Ranch. read more

Luke warm on this location. Only went once, so I'm willing to give it another try, but the vibe here was too over the top for me. Pretentious and a bit snobby. The room was way too small given the size of the class. Felt like packed sardines, and the instructor took yoga blocks and put them against the bottom part of the door to trap the hot air in. I'm not claustrophobic, but it was a hot power fusion class with a ton of people and I felt like I was going to start having a panic attack. I'm used to instructors that open the door at least once or twice during class to give us a brief break of fresh air. This was the opposite. The facility was very nice and you could tell it is fairly new, but that wasn't enough to make me want to return. The instructors and vibe are essential for me, so I'm willing to give it another try with a different class. read more

Beware of this studio if interested in trying on clothing for purchase! VERY good friend of mine recently put in very awkward position, treated extraordinarily rude ....I was astounded as I joined per her recommendation (a couple friends recently joined per her recommendation!)! She didn't want to write a review so I'm witting it on her behalf...let's say this studio better get their act together or they'll begin losing members undoubtedly!! I have been to several yoga studios before, and this was far and away the worst experience I've ever had at any place. While I have been to yoga before, I went with a friend who was trying it for the first time. We went to a class that was supposed to be a workshop, where they go slowly and break down the postures for you, rather than starting with the full paced class. Unfortunately, this workshop was extraordinarily disappointing. The instructor spoke at break-neck speeds and did not take the time to show a single modification for any of the poses, nor did he take time to even show us the traditional pose in any detail. He would just RUN through the poses, and not give any demonstration of what that pose actually was. Not only was it ridiculously fast paced, the instructor used a lot of jargon that made no sense unless you already had yoga experience. This was extremely discouraging, as this was supposed to be a Yoga 101 class (it was even called 101 in the title!). So, this place is not for beginners, nor is it for anyone who likes to have a meditative yoga experience with knowledgeable and empathetic teachers. TL;DR: Way to fast paced, extremely bad teaching, might be okay for people with yoga experience, but if you're a beginner, choose anywhere else!!!! Would not recommend to anyone in my life ever. read more

Overall I enjoyed most of the classes and teachers. The space is clean and bright, there are plenty of props and a water fountain to reduce carbon footprints, always a plus. The teachers invite you to settle into the space before class and offer space to meditate and stay in savasana longer at the end. however I do wish they would lower the music during that time. The teachers are experienced enough to be aware of when and what to give assists on and are egoless enough to not explain/correct alignment beyond there training. On another positive note the teachers seem interested in yoga not only as a form of exercise but as a practice of self love and self inquiry ( svadhyaya... the sanskirt word ) which is very in line with the more eastern traditions of yogi as a art and science. There is also a lot of consistency in language between teachers, a demonstration of the corporate nature of the company, both a positive and negative from my perspective. My one complaint is personal and RACIAL in nature. I went to attend a class this weekend and was greeted at the door by a lady behind the desk, who immediately asked me if I was " the cleaning girl". I am not white and I tan very dark, I am mixed race and college educated with a promising career. I have worked hard, as has my family, to feel accepted in an area that has few affluent minority families. I was fully offended and never offered an apology. I felt it was assumed I couldn't possibly be a student since I am obviously not white and blonde like many of the other students that walked in at the same time as me. While I am aware this was not done from a place of malice the lack of ownership from the teacher and ability to recognize and take responsibility for how offensive such a comment could be interpreted and for the lack of awareness that I was offended ( through watching my body language and voice tone) has made me reconsider becoming a member. In a crowd of light skinned women I felt singled out for my differences. Otherwise a good place for sweat and a little bit of spiritual practice. If you wanna sweat in your lululemons ( I have three pair myself ) and shower after this is great place to start a yoga practice. If you have an established Sahdhana ( practice) use these classes to compliment your personal practice. read more

I have been going to the CorePower Highlands Ranch studio for many years. It used to be an excellent place for yoga with wonderful instructors and terrific flows for both C2 and Sculpt. During the last few years things have changed. While there are still a few good instructors, Whitney, Bird and Ruby, but the others I've experienced play annoying music so loud a person can't even hear what the teacher is telling the class to do. everyone is looking around at others to figure it out. The classes are so overheated that many people have to leave the room during the class or stop for awhile because they are sweating like crazy and feeling faint. Also, some of the teachers don't notice how their routines are very hard for the skill level of yogis in the class and everyone has stopped doing the poses/exercise and are just sitting or standing on their mats. Rather than changing up the flow so people will participate they just keep going and no one is doing it. It's really too bad because this used to be such a great studio, but most classes are miserable any more. read more

It is sad because the overall classes I have been to have been pretty good, but this studio is extremely disgusting. I would be surprised if they cleaned even once a day. Both the floors and the blocks smell like gross, sweaty feet. I would not be surprised if someone got a bacterial infection after coming here. I would not recommend the studio for that reason. read more
