As a new student, I was able to get and use the Free 7 Days! This was such a fantastic way to experience CorePower. I did my best to maximize my 7 days by trying a variety of class types with differing intensity & heat levels. I liked every instructor. All seemed passionate about what they do. The facility was clean. I docked a star because when classes are full, they were uncomfortably full. If I hadn't been paying attention and moved out of the way, I would have been kicked in the face by the person in front of me. I too tapped someone with my hands behind me when I stretched them long while laying on the floor. Too cramped! This also meant I struggled to see the instructor during full classes. Additionally, I struggled to hear instructors over the music. I wish they had a mic system with speakers around the room so you could hear the instructor no matter their location. Parking was easy since this location is at a huge shopping center. Booking classes online was easy. read more

I signed up for this class shortly before arriving, and the app showed no waitlist. The class start time was 10:30, and I arrived at 10:31. I was told that at 10:28, two minutes before class started, my spot had already been given to other students due to a waitlist. This was confusing, as the class did not appear full or waitlisted when I registered moments earlier. I also don't typically see people show up to a class they weren't able to sign up for, which added to the confusion around how the waitlist was being managed. Yoga emphasizes clarity, integrity, and mindful communication. Being turned away one minute after the start time, based on a waitlist that wasn't visible, felt misaligned with those values. I had an amazing experience with Kelsey P. for the C2 class! I signed up for the week free trial and this was my first time doing hot yoga. I've been a long-time CorePower member (5 years) but this was my first time at this particular studio. The class itself was solid. The instructor was clear, the flow was good, and the music was on point. That said, the cleanliness and sanitization here could use some work. When I set my mat down, I noticed a used bandaid right where I chose to practice. Not something you want to see in a yoga space. They were also out of wipes and had us use apple cider vinegar spray bottles. The studio lobby itself is clean and bright with lots of natural light Overall, the yoga instruction was good, but the studio environment and sanitization standards left a lot to be desired. read more

I came for the free Sunday community class at 11:00AM this month and I had a great experience! The studio is located next to Vons with plenty of parking, though I can imagine it getting busier on weekends as it's shared with other businesses. Since it's a newer location (opened last fall), the studio space is brand new, clean, and charming. Upon walking in, I loved how gorgeous the front lobby design was! The studio has a total of 3 studio rooms. I was in Studio 1, which was large and spacious--much more than other CorePower locations I've visited. It made the vinyasa flow class feel comfortable and open rather than cramped. This was a great change compared to the other CorePower OC studios. One standout feature is the bathroom/locker room area, which is especially large and spacious. The atmosphere is easy to navigate around when changing or putting your things in a locker. The area consisted of four showers (one handicap accessible), plenty of bathroom stalls, and a huge vanity space stocked with a couple essentials like 2 blow dryers, tampons, spray deodorant, and Q-tips. The showers are also well-equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, making it easy to freshen up after class. I didn't feel rushed or crowded, which is a rarity at other CorePower OC locations. The 2 individuals who I interacted with briefly were the front desk worker and the instructor who were both warm and professional. The studio room itself had yoga blocks and sanitary wipes for cleaning your gear, which I appreciated. My only small suggestion for my next visit would be for the instructor to wear a headset/microphone. Even from the front row, I had a bit of trouble hearing her at times through the music, otherwise I enjoyed my visit and felt welcomed at the Costa Mesa location. Overall, I'd highly recommend this location and can't wait to return for more classes. read more

I attended a C1 class for the first time at this location with Taylor. This location made a great first impression because of how spacious and neat it is. Because I took an afternoon class during lunch hours, it wasn't crowded, so there was plenty of space in the room I was in. Taylor was a wonderful instructor. Very positive, encouraging, and attentive. It was a great workout to keep me hyped for the day. At the end of class, Taylor left a nice message for each of the attendees. Definitely a nice touch to better my day! read more

I loved the classes here! They offer showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They even have blow dryers! The classes here a pretty intense and it does get hot!!! I've only been twice, and not knowing too much about yoga I had to watch other people do the poses. The two instructors I've had were both super nice and they really push you during that hour session. I will say a downside it I'm not sure how you can actually contact the place. I left my face wash there and my schedule hasn't allowed to to go back yet. I wanted to call them to see if it was there and if they could hold on to it for me but there is not direct phone number for them. When I called it was an automated voicemail saying the call was going to somewhere in Colorado and it didn't give me and option to speak to someone. A bit frustrating, but I would go back for the classes! You can rent mats and towels here too if you forgot or don't have any! read more

I love the new CorePower Yoga studio in Costa Mesa! The studio feels much more friendly and comfortable, with a cozy lounge area on the left side of the entrance that adds to the welcoming vibe. The decor, furniture, paneling, and details are sleek and modern, featuring plenty of warm wood tones that give the space a updated, sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. It's incredibly spacious with three studio rooms, all heated by infrared panels like the newer CPY locations. The heat feels more intense here and less oppressive (at least for me), with three rows of wide panels--definitely an upgrade from the thinner ones at Fashion Island. The extra space is a major plus, making it roomier than other Orange County studios. However, Huntington Beach and Woodbridge still offer more classes for now, and their studios can accommodate more people. But Costa Mesa really stands out in terms of its changing rooms. The setup feels more private, with actual doors separating the entrance from the hallway, instead of the usual doorless entry. The women's area is thoughtfully designed with four separate sections: locker rooms, a triple sink vanity, 4 showers (including a handicap one), and a vanity area for extra convenience. And there's NO CARPET! This is huge. I can't stand walking through grimy locker rooms with carpet--it feels unhygienic with all the sweat and moisture buildup. I will say the location was a bit tricky to find since the sign isn't up yet--I ended up being late to my first class. It's located between Vons and WESCOM. The Vons parking lot fills but more parking available by CVS. read more

I Thought I wasn't a yoga person--until I took two classes at the Costa Mesa location. Now? I totally get the hype. Let me be clear: when they say hot yoga, they mean HOT. If you're not a fan of heat, this might not be for you. But if you're up for the challenge--trust me, you need to try this class. When I say I was dripping in sweat... baby, I was soaked. And the next day? I felt it, especially in my abs. There's something about finishing this class that just hits different. You walk out feeling accomplished--like you did something amazing for both your mind and body. And shoutout to the studio manager (I wish I caught her name!)--she's incredible at explaining movements, making sure you feel comfortable, and letting you move at your own pace. Literally every experience I have had here so far has been wonderful. Each instructor and class from C2, Sculpt, Strength or Restore have all been amazing. The front desk welcomes and check-in are always so friendly -- a short interaction with someone can literally make or break a day. Even brief encounters in class or the locker room with other members have all been so positive and friendly. Was dissapointed. I got there a few minutes late because there was no parking in there structure. A few other people Had the same issue, the parking was terrible. All we got from the front desk was a simple sorry you can't join the class, you won't get charged. Was expecting a little more of understanding because their parking is terrible. read more
