For those familiar with the Herbalife brand, Core Nutrition is the Starbucks of Herbalife! Privately owned, Core has a menu of 30 or so different meal-replacement shakes, all of the healthy genre- but you wouldn't know that by tasting them. They taste like your normal, delicious ice cream milkshakes - except they're GOOD for you, and they provide your body the vitamins and nutrients you don't usually get from your normal diet. Each shake (complete with a shot of aloe and an iced tea as a "primer" for the shake) is about the same price as a not-so-good-for-you value meal at a nasty fast food joint. My favorites are strawberry lemonade, the "Hulk", and banana creme pie- all of which taste like dessert. Not only does Core offer delicious meal alternatives, but the staff is genuinely friendly! Super informative if you have questions, welcoming, and funny. The staff also double as "health coaches" - for example, if you're interested in Herbalife and working on your fitness, they offer body scans and meal plans that will put you on the right track. Vince is my health coach-- he's awesome, and his personal Herbalife progress is totally inspiring. Core is my fave! More people need to try this place out. They'll get addicted in an instant. read more

I have been in here a few times and each time the staff has been super friendly. They are very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. They seem to really care about getting people healthy and are passionate about what they do. I was intimated when I first came in, but that quickly went away because of how nice everyone is. The only thing I would change is I wish they had a description of what ingredients go into each shake but that's not even a huge change. Plus, if you ask the staff, they'll tell you what's in each of them. I would just have an easier time picking if the ingredients were listed. read more

Core Nutrition is THE ONLY healthy "fast food" option in Elk Grove. Having been a long time Herbalife customer, I find myself here for a quick post workout smoothie or a meal replacement on the go. At Core they make something so healthy taste so yummy! The staff of extremely nice & knowledgable and they don't try to sell products to you at all. I love coming here. The energy and vibe is so great and the owners, Hayden and Ashlee, are truly passionate about what they do.. And it shows! Not only do they provide herbal teas (that energize you without making you jittery), they provide meal replacement and post workout shakes. Free of any additive sugars making it super healthy and still yummy at the same time. They also hold free fit camps (which is cool for broke people like me who can't afford the gym lol). Ashlee also does facials and is amazing. I highly suggest you stop in and check this place out for yourself. You won't be disappointed! read more
