I was forced to find a new one that was covered due to some extenuating circumstances. I have to admit, I feel that Esther is a Godsend. Seriously, coming from another office can be a bit frightening as it comes to mental wellness. I mean, you spend time getting to know someone and suddenly you're having to share all over again. I am aware of their cancellation fee and it is true it is $65. One day, I was running behind and called them to see whether it would be best to cancel. The office staff advised me that it would be best to show up even if I were late, save myself the late cancellation fee. I know they text and call to remind me of upcoming appointments with enough time to cancel in a timely manner if I should need to do so. So, the fee? That's all on me, if I'm a no show. At first, I had a few frustrations. For instance, their need for a card on file (for the cancellation fees), at the time I started visiting here, I didn't have any cash at all and the thought of giving them my card really upset me. I got over it. The exercises and the support offered has been monumental in my care. Esther has done a wonderful job in assisting me in assisting myself. I have recommended this office to others based on my experience. My understanding is not all of the providers have openings and not all of them accept the same insurance. I have visited a great deal of counselors in my lifetime and I feel it's very important to find one that fits your needs. For me, this office does and I am willing to drive out of my way to continue my care here.

When I discovered that Craig Dalton owns Total Life Counseling, I recalled a previous interaction that raised concerns about professionalism and boundaries. At a church event where my husband and I were hosting a disability resources booth, Craig--whom I had never met--approached me with his family and handed me his business card. He made a comment that seemed based on secondhand information, unexpected and unclear. When I later followed up to better understand the exchange, his explanation was vague and did not clarify the situation. While brief, the interaction raised concerns about discretion and professionalism. Approaching someone in a public setting based on third party information can feel intrusive and does not align with the level of confidentiality expected in the counseling field.

He provided the care the my wife and I needed to a T. He had experience and knowledge with trauma and addiction which we were working through. The environment is amazing in his office. Right on a golf course which offers trees and birds chirping. He always offers water and snacks. He gives you a treatment plan with an end goal or tapering down to maintenance visits to help your finances. He saved our marriage without a doubt. I recommend him to everyone.

Troy Stone is one of the better counselors I've been to. He is honest, calls you on your BS, relatable, and has plenty of examples. He will chat about your day-to-day stuff but he always pulls it back to - what is your goal and what is the science behind it (love language, attachment theory, trauma, etc.). Other MFT counselors I've gone to barely touch on such subjects which greatly hinders long term fixes - to fix what is wrong today you must understand where you came from. If you simply talk about what pissed you off last week and never touch on why or what happened to you in the past that predisposed you to those emotions... then you're just spinning your wheels.

After reading all the postive reviews and went on the website, I have decided to give them a call the next day. During the call, I was on my way driving to work but Ling was sure patience enough to listen to me and gave me some information regarding what she does, recommended hypnotherapy and schedule me to come in to see her. So far I have gone through 3 sessions with her and she made me realize, opened up my mind and educated me on thinking more positively.
