And without a doubt, moving to New York Icons was the best decision we could have made. Our daughter, Oaklie-Rae, is absolutely thriving. She's not only learning so many new skills, but she's also being taught proper technique, strong etiquette, and what it really means to hit clean, synchronized routines. The growth we've seen in her--both as an athlete and as a teammate--has been incredible. Even more importantly, she truly feels at home with her coaches and teammates. The coaches here go above and beyond for these athletes. They are amazing with the kids, supportive, approachable, and always willing to help. Communication is easy, and they genuinely care about each athlete's development and well-being. The program itself is very structured with consistent schedules, which makes such a difference for both athletes and families. With two locations and such a large, successful program, it would be easy to feel lost--but that's not the case at all. The owner, Heather, is always present at competitions supporting her teams, and she is incredibly easy to talk to and available whenever needed. And it doesn't stop with the athletes. You also get the opportunity to go downstairs and use their smaller pit of foam blocks which is always a fun time. Also they set up a small bounce house for free play time at times for some of the classes. Every station they set up for the different rotations of the classes also helps with a different skill and muscle area. My son has done the Wee peas (for babies 12 months and under) and has now just begun the One-Two Pea classes. The coaches are all great and the babies/toddler and preschool gymnastics classes are all top notch. You learn a lot of developmentally appropriate motor activities for your child and you have a great time together through music and movement! Definitely try one of their trial classes which are always free, you won't be disappointed.

Northern Hemisphere has been great for me so far. I started classes a few weeks ago. I am 12 years…read moreold and just started. Coach Aiden has helped me improve so much. It is VERY good for younger kids. I have a lot in my class but that's ok, everyone has to start somewhere! While I will switch to another gym in the future, Northern Hemisphere is awesome for people, especially older kids improve on basic skills. However, I have seen coach Paul yell at several kid. There was a girl who was a red head, and lost her balance on a mat after landing, and was struggling to get up, when he yelled at her " Hey, red headed kid! Get off the mat!." I could not believe this. My experience has been good, but I would not recommend.
