Lots to say about this place. Let's start with saying that it's a great place to rent out for a party. It's a newer establish so super fresh and clean, and visually appealing. Service is good. Not a empty beer bottle on the table. My biggest gripe with the place is they don't fill out the place and leave the middle for bottle service. When we went it was pretty much half empty. For drinking and eating it's a nice place. Atmosphere is produced by the nice karaoke, sound, and lights. This is one of the best places to go for Vietnamese focused open Karaoke and night life in Orange County. The alcohol is well prices (bottle service is very reasonable) and there is open microphone Karaoke after 8:30pm. They have a sound engineer to really make the music go well. If you have the courage to sing in front of a live audience, this place is the way to go. The kitchen is small so if this place is busy, you can expect to wait awhile for the food. This place is usually very busy on Friday and Saturdays and some nights having a Live DJ late at night. The food is a bit pricey as establishments tend to charge a bit more for the food because the drinks are priced better than traditional American places. My favorite dishes would be the Vietnamese chicken wings and the beef and preserved egg porridge. What to expect: There will be a lot of Vietnamese people here speaking their native language. All ages will have fun and have a night life. It's interesting to see a mix crowd of all Vietnamese people having fun, ages range from 21 - 70s + ages. If you're a clean freak, the restrooms do have a stench and again, this is a Vietnamese eccentric place. If you enjoy good food and great price drinks and do not want the normal crowds, coming here Thursday from open to close (karaoke after 8:30pm), early on Friday and Saturday (before the karaoke and night life starts) or on Sunday are great times to go. They added over 200 dollars extra on items I didn't order. When confronted the cashier, they wouldn't accept responsibility and said they would take off 100. Then only to say they wanted a tip. We celebrated a Friend's Anniversary and another friend's Birthday, this restaurant/ lounge bar is nice and fresh. The staff are very attentive. There's a karaoke DJ so sing if you dare. I heard the system is excellent, per my brave karaoke friends. Lol. There is a dance floor, so drink up and get down... The food is good, we had a couple of dishes. This place is better now that they took out the middle bar. It looks more spacious. Since it's a new quan nhau, the liquor prices are decent so make sure you go before they start raising the prices, which I hope not. Well where do I start? My friend and I walked in (African American women) very professional women at that! Walked in and one waiter was sitting in the couch when we walked in turned around looked us UP AND DOWN!! I stated we had reservations for 2 @ 7:30pm (it was completely empty). One of the best Quan Nhau in OC for many reasons: Cleanliness, waitresses are very attentive and friendly, excellent beer food! Came here last night on a Monday - Don't judge me. Nice atmosphere with comfortable decor and great service. Nice EDM music with karaoke intermixed (one star). Security guard in front is very nice, greets you with a firm handshake and as you enter and opens the door (second star). I came here twice on two Fridays in a row. We ordered a bottle of 1 liter corden blue and 750 ml Hennessy xo. $330 for corden blue 1 liter and $340 for the hennesy xo bottle. On Friday and Saturday, they always put a "Reserved" sign on almost every table except for a few bad table in the back corner. We had some friends came into town and so we arrived very early to this place. We were instructed by the waitress that all the tables were reserved excepted for a few undesirable tables way in the back. All the good tables near the front where the music stage were supposedly "reserved tables" with reserved signs on all of them. I suspect this is a game that they were playing to make it seem like they will have a lot of customers. We weren't happy about being placed all the way in the back, but we went along to see if anyone really show up to claim those supposedly "reserved tables". Past midnight and only a hand full of people actually showed up but most of the table were empty! I told the owner and the waitress that I knew they are full of Sh*t and that we don't appreciate being lied to. The next time we came back these people put on the same old game again, "reserved signs" everywhere. We told them that we know their game and it's pretty stupid that they have to pretend that they will have a lot of customers show up but treat real customers like we don't matter at all to them (This is just stupid). I've been here several times and here's my review: 1) Decor - Great looking, very clean, even the restroom's cleanliness is superior comparing to other Viet bar in the area. If you know me, restaurant cleanliness is my #1 pet peeve. 2) Sound/Karaoke - They have a sound technician sit on the floor to help adjust the sound as you sing your karaoke. Can't get better than that. No other places in the area does that. The pianist, Nha, is an excellent musician (full disclosure: Nha is a friend who introduced me to the place). So, go ahead, eat, drink, and sing your heart out! 3) No smoking inside - Loving this! If you've been to a Viet bar in the area before you know what I mean by this. 4) Foods - Foods tastes great. Missing some traditional plates like Be Thui, but other than that, the foods are not bad. 5) Security - There's security out front and one inside. Both are nice and open to small talks. Greets you as you come and leaves. 6) Alcohol pricing - Not bad. A bottle of McCallan 18 costs around $350 here? If you buy it at Total Wine it's $280. They have a liquor license here, not the under the table BS most ghetto place has. 7) Service - The waitresses here are nice, and I do not mean it in a perverted way. I had great time, and received service. Was greatly welcomed and impressed when security opened the front door for me upon my arrival. I was the only white guy sitting at the bar. Left around 11:30 P.M (8/18). I decided to do a little test, I planted a $100 dollar bill on the floor by my bar stool. Watched as a male employee (Non Asian) came by and picked it up and went to the cash register to the right of me and conversed with some female employees. The money is not a great deaI with me. However, I would have been greatly impressed, if the male employee would have stopped and asked if I had lost anything. Moral: If you go, guard your wallets, purses , and money!! When we asked the waitress to change it, we received the owner lady's response from the waitress that it is their way of making it. Our group had about 14 people and we reserved a pretty big table in the middle. The place was nice, clean and great music n good karaoke. Food was ok not enough for the price.
