Canadian Denny's? If the prices were lower I'd give this spot 3 stars, but the quality & experience just isn't commensurate with the cost. The fruit was tasty & seemed fresh, beyond that none of us thought our dishes were particularly well-made (under-cooked, greasy bacon, waay over-cooked eggs), as advertised (my French toast was not dipped in egg as described on the menu, but instead just grilled on one side & plain on the other), or interesting. Boring & uninspired food, but the staff was friendly & the fruit was yummy read more

Cora's - Strawberry Avalanche, Eggs over Cheddar Crepe - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

Friendly staff, really good omelette. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend. Great selection of breakfast items. Something for everyone.

You can't go wrong with Cora's. Simple breakfast done right. Lots of options with lots of fruit and full of friendly employees. They have whatever you have a craving for and some. We shared the panini crepe with ham and it was delicious. We added a fruit smoothie which was the perfect "blend" . Not too sweet and very satisfying. This is one of our stops anytime we are in Victoria! read more

It's Cora's. We had a consistent experience with the food although our server seemed like it was the last place he'd like to be. My non-dairy request was honored, right down to the buttering my rye toast. I had oatmeal & my husb has a breakfast wrap. The location on Douglas was within convenient walking distance from our hotel. Be aware that toilet facilities are NOT mobility friendly, with a some stairs to access. They are very family friendly, with stroller storage aside, high chairs & crayons to entertain the kids. If you like Cora's it's fine. I won't go out of my way, but I won't avoid it either. read more

Really bland. Had serveral different items on the menu, but they all had the same thing in common. The taste (or rather, lack of taste). The different dishes all lacked the savoriness and deep flavor you would expect from an omelette, scramble, etc. If hospital food is your thing, or catsup is spicy, I definitely recommend Cora's read more

Great location and so thankful that they open very early (6am). I am an early morning person and arrived to Cora's at 7am. There were couple other tables occupied but not too busy yet. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict, the volume is pretty big for one person, but luckily plenty of fresh fruit to enjoy. Service was attentive and I enjoyed my breakfast. When I prepared to leave (at around 9am), there was a line formed waiting for a table. So, come early if you don't want to wait. read more

This place is all right. It wasn't bad but it is not somewhere I would go back to, unfortunately. We were seated very quickly and our order came out quickly. That being said it was odd how quick it came out...maybe like 5 minutes so it made me feel that it was reheated or had just been sitting there in the kitchen. Pre-made food? Not a fan of that. If you like to regular breakfast food this is your place, it is moderately priced which does not help it's cause to have cold food. My crepe was a sugar bomb but the bacon reminded me of hospital cafeteria type and my husband's food was not impressive either. He ordered a breakfast sandwich and he barely ate it all and he's a big eater. Our service was really great though, she managed to provide to all of our needs and we left in a timely manner. It seems like it's Canada's version of iHop. read more

We were quickly seated and brought our menus. The food was ok. Nothing special at all. I ordered a hot cocoa with strawberry banana pancakes and Turkey sausage. Thr Turkey sausage was so bland, not what I'm used to. But the hot cocoa was very good and the fruit on my pancakes was all very fresh. The bathroom was not the cleanest and smelled stale and sweaty. They could do better with the upkeep of that area. All in all I would go back though. read more

The ihop of Canada. Move along. This place smelled like sugar once you walked in. Menu was your typical ihop / dennys with powered sugar on top. When the food arrived it was more or less inedible. We ate a couple bites, paid and got out. Feeling iffy in the stomach the rest of the day. There are far far better places to eat in Victoria. I suggest you do so. read more

Poor, slow service. Coffee was not great at all. It dresses up like a Dennys but it took 10 minutes to get coffee after we were seated. Food was average. read more

A favourite destination of mine. I had it once 4 years ago in Calgary and was instantly hooked! Really happy that the franchise expanded out west into Vancouver and Victoria. I usually go for the 10 star omelette in a skillet. Once a month they change the specials, worth going back for. read more

Cora's - 10 star omelette in a skillet. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

This is my favorite casual breakfast spot in Victoria. Yes, you can wait in line for Jam cafe or John's place or another more trendy eatery (and don't get me wrong, those places are amazing) but if you want great food, fresh fruit, and great service in a casual atmosphere without massive waits this is your place. Their dishes favor fresh fruit and not the 'let me give you a bunch of cheap melon' fruit -- they deliver blueberries, strawberries, bananas, papaya and more. So good. The chocolate French toast is outstanding. Lots of seating and great for families with kids too! read more

Cora's - Chocolate banana French toast (smaller order) and two scrambled eggs. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

Fresh fruit mounded on everything! At first I thought I was looking at a kids menu with all the color and funny names for menu items but read closely or you'll miss some great choices. French toast was loaded with cinnamon , cocoa powder, fresh strawberries and bananas cut right before serving. The fruit plate look like it took 30 minutes to prepare as it was so well decorated. Kiwi, melons, grapes, citrus galore. Jellies and preserves were top shelf. Real maple syrup available for $.50 extra. One silly menu item that I wish I tried, grilled Mac and cheese sandwich! Service exceptional and very clean. Not really sure they can handle peak period crowds so arrive early. read more

My son and I just had a very bad experience and will not be going back to Cora. We were told there would a 10-15 minute wait for our table and were asked to wait outside. I looked around and (politely, I think) pointed out that there were at least 4 empty tables for 2 and several tables for 4 and asked if we could have one of those. I was told the server wouldn't be able to help us. I said that was fine but could we please sit at a table to wait instead of standing in the cold on the street. I was told "that's not the way it works". At that point I became annoyed and asked if we should just go somewhere else. The floor manager had arrived and waved his hand out the door and said we should do that. I can't believe how rudely we were treated. read more

Cute diner with great decor (very family friendly). Lots of choice on the menu. Prices a bit high but portion sizes were large. Nothing special about the food, but it satisfied all of us. I ordered the buckwheat crepes. They were bitter and had a tough unpleasant texture. I love buckwheat pancakes. I guess buckwheat doesn't work in crepes. My husband and kids enjoyed their dishes (he ordered a vegetable skillet without cheese). The addition of fruit with most of the dishes was a nice touch. read more

Went with the Strawberry Creep this time here-I was expecting it to be the Strawberry stuff you will find at a Grocery store, but looks like it was fresh Strawberries, very yummy! Cora's is a very good casual Breakfast place chain in Canada, and both of them we've been to are pretty good. The main issue I would have with this one is that finding a parking spot is a challenge, specially during the day time- it could be very frustrating trying to find a spot, which is why I gave them 3 stars. The food though I would say is 4 1/2 stars, service is ok. The OJ I had also was pretty good as well. read more

The Manager at this location made bad decisions. Our 7 year old asked for a waffle instead of a chocolate chip pancake and the waitress advised there would be an additional charge which was agreed to. Then she came back and said the waffle could not be substituted but she offered the full size waffle with a side of scrambked egg and bacon. Total cost $9.95 waffle, $4.25 bacon, $3.50 egg. Total $17.70. The waffle was plain but it was served with fruit and cream so it was sent back for a main waffle. Basically the difference between a waffle and a pancake is the shape, alums a waffle has more egg. My order of a western omelette came 15 minutes after everyone else was served at our table. The waitress said the kitchen made a mistake. There was not a visit from the manager with an apology as he left the waitress to hang out on these decisions and errors on her own. This is not a complaint on the waitress and she did a great job. The decisions by management were based on greed and poor customer service. This restaurant is not recommended due to poor management. read more

If you're in downtown Victoria and looking for a breakfast spot this is the place to go. It's a mom and pop shop with tons of different options.... only why a four star since I felt the menu didn't have enough veggie options! Ordered a crepe strawberry with banana with two eggs and two bacons. You can definitely tell the different taste between the eggs and bacon. Overall the food was delicious! The price is also reasonable ! Not bad for a local joint read more

Quality has been going down. The portions on your plate are getting smaller too. I've gone multiple times between 2018-2019 and even between those visits I can see a drop particularly in the portions which is a shame. Same plates but less food on those plates read more

They take pride in fresh ingredients and the fruit looks EXACTLY like it does on the menu. Good coffee, tasty fresh squeezed juice, quality food Nd great service. Robert was a fantastic waiter! Food looks better in the pictures than on the plate. "Not bad" is the best I can do.

Food: not good/not bad Staff: nice Atmosphere: kind of family restaurant, kids-like When I searched near brunch cafe, it appeared as 4.4 stars on google map. But it turned out it was not that much good. I had 1990's harvest-cinnamon french toast with an egg, bacon and fruits. It looked nice but tastes was not good enough. Just a kind of cheaper dish. The worst part was fruits. They were not ripe well so I was disappointed. read more

It's a chain I understand but.... The decor made me queasy, I felt like day school was about to start any minute. Just take the stuff off the walls and use plain colors. Had the Montrealer....poached eyes, baked beans, and potatoes. A good portion. It can with creton. Now I never had creton before, but I am not judging. Maybe I would have preferred it warned or with spicy mustard, but this did after my rating. It was something new to me, I tried it, I moved on. If you want a no frills breakfast and if the decor doesn't bother you, the price is right. The wait staff was nice. Good selection of your basic breakfast choices. They make a nice arrangement with the fruit. read more

Came here for breakfast while on a work trip. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the spinach, bacon, and feta(or goat cheese, can't remember) omelette. It was REALLY delicious but the unsung hero were the roasted potatoes that came with it. I feel like too many places don't put emphasis on their potatoes particularly when it's included with breakfast. But these folks did really well. Like hot sauce with your eggs? They have tobasco, Frank's Red Hot, and Cholula. So don't forget to ask for those. For me, hot sauce is a breakfast requirement. My only issue is that, and maybe I misunderstood the server, it seemed like you couldn't make your own omelette and had to go by the menu. I would've liked more freedom in my omelette making capability. Regardless, this is a solid choice for a sweet (tons of crepes to choose from) or savory breakfast. read more

Ahh YUM! - It was a real treat to have a delicious brunch with a fun service team. Both the food runner and our server made us laugh, while many in the industry tend to rush, not strike up a conversation or would put the food down and vanish - This place did none of that. I had the asparagus Egg Benny with a strawberry banana vitamin smoothie. I highly recommend. Also we went at high time, on a Sunday morning, place was busy but we were sat right away... Amazing! read more

Yelp always gets me to the right place to eat. It landed us at Cora's and we were so pleased. The first thing we noticed was how busy it was and how welcoming the girl was that sat us down. We thought it would be a long wait but it wasn't. There is a plethora of food choices like crepes, waffles, omelettes, french toast different ways and nice fresh fruit. Definately a place I will come back to when I visit again. read more

Paid $25 for a drink and a meal (the humongous breakfast) including $5 tip. $3 for a little bottle of juice. I think it's a bit too expensive for what it is, but I could not fault the quality of the dish. Everything was great, except the pan fries which I felt were skimpy in portion and not especially tasty compared to the rest of it. The pancake was especially good. I had enough meats to make my own BLT sandwich and it was delicious. Service was prompt and polite. 3 stars because for $25 I could have made 5 of these at home. read more

We loved how spacious this place was, it accommodated 10 of us, and everyone enjoyed their food!

Great quality breakfast with lots of fresh fruits. Been to Cora twice now and both times have been awesome! The staff is always welcoming and friendly and Molly was especially great this time! Portions are generous so come hungry! I am partial to eggs Benedict and I really enjoy the ham here, it's got a better taste than back in the US and really brings the Benedict home. My wife had a crepe which as really good as well, the Nutella also has a better taste here. They have plenty of space but it can get busy so you should consider make my reservations. Their waiting area by the door is not very big and it also where you pay your bill so it can get crowded. read more

I love Cora! I would go here for breakfast every morning if I could. The service was amazing, the food was perfect! And I love the little fruit displays they add!
