I remember going to Cora in Montreal in November with my wife and took my mom here and we loved it as well. We shared the Spinach and Cheddar Crepeomelette and the Brioche for Eloise that were delicious and filling and I also had a Mango Kale Smoothie. The service was fast with no wait on a Saturday morning (but there likely was later) and the decor was nice and sunny.

First time at Cora's. It's a bright, colorful restaurant with ample seating. We were seated instantly as it wasn't busy at 9am on a Tuesday, the coffee was great, just what I needed. I got the 10 Star omelet, the boss got...... what the boss wants..... the boss got the Boss's Favorite. Both dishes were packed with flavor and cheesy goodness, the fresh fruit garnish was a lovely accompaniment. Service was stellar, food was delicious, menu was a vast adventure of culinary delights.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE It's like all of the other Cora locations: like a Denny's that includes a little bit of upscaling and fruit with every dish! === 2. FOOD 10 Star Omelette ($19.25): Folks local to Oahu will recognize this like a version of the Extreme Mess from Sweet E's Cafe on Kapahulu. Otherwise, it will look like a pizza: maximum toppings covered in melted cheese. Served with potatoes, fruits, and two slices of toast of your choice. Good eats! Paul Wants it All ($19.95): A half-waffle covered with English cream and chopped fruit, accompanied by two eggs your way, bacon, potatoes, and toast. Yum! Kid's Meal ($10.95): Starts at $9.95; the extra dollar gets you a second egg prepared your way, with a chocolate pancake, bacon, potatoes and a choice of drink - which my son immediately chose chocolate milk...of course lol :) Coffee is $3.95 including refills. === 3. SERVICE Our server spoke in English and Spanish with ease and and pleasant throughout. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's showing its age inside, but it's outfitted like all other Cora locations colour, decoration, and seating-wise. You could probably fit groups of up to 8 in here comfortably. Wheelchairs and baby strollers would likely work best if they stayed close to the front door. Parking is the challenge - there's limited street parking around, so you're likely looking for a parking garage somewhere - we chose the Victoria Public Library each time for cheapest and best results!

Visited Victoria for the day- Great breakfast find on a locals recommendation. Every entree around us looked delicious- Portions generous and probably the best service I've had in months! Pancakes a winner! Recommend!

Excellent French toast! Had the 1990s feast and breakfast poutine. Both of us very satisfied.

Liked the healthy food, but the steps outside mean this is not a wheelchair accessible place so I had to be carried in. Too bad.

It's on a residential street in a heritage home that has been nicely updated where need be. There is a grab and go area as well, if you're in a rush. There is also a patio, so plenty of choices. It's a very healthy choice e to eat, but that doesn't mean the portions are small, or you're going to leave hungry. My Smoked Tofu Muffuletta came on beautiful bread with a choice of salad or soup of the day. Not being a mushroom soup fan I took the greens. You can definitely taste the smoke, but it's not overpowering , and the entirety is pretty tasty. The lovely K had the Golden Benny which was also a good portion, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The Hoyne pilsner and Caesar were also tasty. The service is spot on, with all the staff involved in taking care of you while dining. There really is nothing wanting, but somehow we were not raving about the experience.

We were a group of 6 women and loved sitting outside in the garden. The food was quick and we did order inside but they kindly brought everything out to us. The drinks we served hot and delicious with so many nice add ons like dandelion and beetroot powders! The food had amazing flavour and was so fresh! The eggs were perfectly cooked and I loved that the Benny was served with a nice salad that wasn't over dressed! Great service, wonderful atmosphere inside and out!

I wish I could eat breakfast here every day. Then again I would die. But I would die happy…read more Just to give you a sense of how delightfully unhinged this place is, they have a pierogi omelette on their menu. This is not an omelette with pierogi filling. This is an omlette topped with pierogis. I was also pleasantly surprised by how vegetarian/pescatarian-friendly it is and they seem to take tremendous pride in their free run eggs. Glad to see it. Coming from the US where our food is basically poison and egg yokes are the color of pee, I had never heard of free run eggs (just free range or cage free) and seeing rich, thick orange yolks run onto my plate was wild. I also very much enjoyed the multiple Jewish cultural references on the menu and, as someone who grew up in the family with the oiliest smelling kitchen come channukah, the latke game here was solid, A++. Not some preformed potato patty. This was potato shredded up, held together with willpower and fried the way my dad used to make em. Even the sour cream and applesauce and the tomato I got on the side with my meal were better in Canada than in the US. It's insane how broken the American food system is but I digress... Got a smoked salmon Benedict. Really really solid. Husband got a chicken and waffles monstrosity that he couldn't even come close to finishing. Service was friendly. Ambiance was kitschy AF. The tragedy is that you want to try more things but they give you such decent portions that you can't. Eat here.

A solid spot with its own distinct vibe and an impressively long menu…read more Great for groups since there's something for everyone, and the portions are generous. Almost too much for one person. One thing that stood out: unlike most diners that only offer one brewed coffee option, this place lets you choose between regular and dark roast. Small detail, but appreciated. I went on a weekday morning, so there was no wait, but the space isn't very large, so I'd recommend making a reservation during peak hours. Staff were friendly overall, and the atmosphere is worth experiencing. That said, while the food was consistently solid, it wasn't particularly memorable. I ordered the Valentino, smoked salmon and poached egg on an English muffin with avocado, but the avocado was completely unripe, which brought down both the texture and the flavor. With a menu this wide, most dishes land in the "good" rather than "great" range, and execution details like that make a difference. If you're going for variety and the overall experience, you'll be satisfied, but if you're hoping for something exceptional, it may feel a bit underwhelming. Bottom line: a reliable brunch option for groups, as long as you're not setting the bar too high on the food itself.

Fairholme Manor - Amazing breakfast!!

I was so excited to stay here at Fairholme Manor given the positive reviews but I thought overall…read moreit was just okay. Let me start off by saying breakfast really was five stars. It was delicious and beautiful. A lot of love and effort is put into this. Sylvia's scones are phenomenal. If she opened up a bakery I would buy all her scones and loaves. The bathroom is a nice size with a big tub. So why the three stars? There is a radiator in the room but ours didn't work well and would heat up and did not stay hot. We were cold. If you are on the first floor please note that sound travels. you can really hear any movement above you and you can hear conversations very well outside your room which didn't make me feel particularly comfortable since I'm sure even just is talking normally can be heard by others as well. Didn't feel amazing from a privacy perspective. When you book it says there is daily housekeeping. There's no daily housekeeping. We were asked if anything was missing from our room by the breakfast server but nothing else. If you're expecting your trash to be emptied or bed to be made that did not happen our whole stay. Location: not really walkable to the downtown area or most things in Victoria. A couple other small things that I wouldn't even mention if the above two were no issue: The bed was okay although not super comfortable in my opinion. The outlets are really inconvenient and there aren't many. They mention there is tea, hot chocolate, and coffee. There's no hot chocolate and no creamer in your room if you want some later. I do think this place could be good for others but it was not the right fit for us. For a bed and breakfast the room just wasn't super comfortable for us to want to spend time there.

Sylvia is a gracious experienced host with great recommendations for dinner spots. We tried both Pennyfarthing and Pagliacci and were happy with the both choices. Pagliacci had a good live band. And to top it off a small herd of deer have made the neighborhood their home. It all added up to a great stay. We'll book Fairholme again for sure.
