Great ambiance and food. After we booked, our hotel recommended we take a water taxi there (more…read moreabout that later) and I would recommend the same. It is on the water with a wonderful view of the castle, perfect (and potentially romantic) for an evening meal. Once we arrived on the water taxi, greeted enthusiastically by probably the owner and shown to a table on the water. Was offered the opportunity to see the fresh fish, with each fish explained well (a nice variety of about 6 different types) and also how they were prepared. Started with three fish tartares, which were both good and interesting, each having a very unique taste.
My main was one of the fresh fish (which I shared with my wife) with pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly and worked very well with the fish, which was served on the side so you got a true experience of the very fresh fish.
For dessert, shared a fruit plate with my daughter, which was also great. A lot of very fresh fruit.
Decided we did not want to take the water taxi home (my wife got sea sick as it is more of a water canoe with an engine) so asked for a regular taxi. Did not realize we had to walk up what felt like an infinite number of steps (probably about six stories) to get to the road, guess we burned up most of the calories from dinner.
A great experience with a great view, just think twice before saying no to the water taxi.
