He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. That's what his work is worth to me. 10/10 will be making sure I get my nephews' first suits tailored by him too

Over the past several months, I have brought my business here--paying their premium, higher-than-average prices for laundry--simply because I wanted to invest back into our small community. I have been here to wash my comforters and the dryers take a long time to dry. They only allow washer and dryer and you are unable to just dry which does make sense for cleanliness and sanitary reasons. I have also sent the laundry here for wash and fold on one occasion. The clothes were folded okay but not very small like a lot of the other laundromats in the area. They did a lot of construction in the past couple of years as the front was really run down. The employees do stand outside a lot smoking. Unfortunately, a recent experience showed me that this establishment does not share that same neighborly care. I was walking a few blocks home carrying an incredibly heavy, empty terra-cotta planter. Exhausted, I stopped in to politely ask the woman and gentleman working if I could leave the planter for just a few minutes while I ran two blocks away to retrieve my wagon. I explicitly explained that I am a local neighbor, that the planter was simply too heavy to carry further, and that I would be incredibly grateful for the brief help. Instead of a helpful or even a polite response, I was met with a harsh attitude and questioned as to why I needed to leave it. While I understand that businesses have liability policies, there is a way to communicate boundaries with human kindness. Instead, I was met with a complete lack of empathy and compassion. It is incredibly disheartening to realize that an establishment is happy to take your money for overpriced services, but lacks the basic decency to show a neighbor a moment of grace or compassion when they are struggling. A neighborhood business should be a part of the community, not just a place of greed. I will no longer be supporting this laundromat, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. We worked with Rafael (i believe) and he helped us for over an hour and over two days emailing, chatting and just keeping the good vibes going as we delt with this annoying task. He was helpful, kind and patient. This wasn't even an expensive print job but we had the best quality. I am planning on doing all of my wedding stationary with this location and am super greatful that they could help us with a last minute print job distaster.

This is the very first time I've had a bad experience with them. I don't know where the miscommunication was and I don't fully know what to do with my suit jacket now. I paid and left today which honestly I probably should've pushed back a bit. While I asked for a hem, I triple checked with the receptionist that it wouldn't look strange and she recommended I don't open it from the shoulder as it would be more costly and that the standard hem would be sufficient and they do this quite often on blazers. I was a bit confused but given they've shortened coats / jackets and move buttons and fastenings up before, I didn't entirely disagree with her logic. I picked up the suit today and I just don't understand why this was even a good idea. I don't know if it's because the tailor wasn't there and the instructions weren't clear... I just don't know... I am disappointed with the result on a brand new suit jacket. Also, why staple through fabric when the item has a tag... like come on...
