From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit -- rich colors, vintage decor, great music, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and creatively alive. Roxy herself greeted us right at the door, and that personal touch set the tone for the entire visit. The menu has great range and something for everyone. I ordered one of the 'Roxy' cocktails and a cappuccino (hey, it's called BALANCE! ) , and both were genuinely delicious -- handcrafted and thoughtfully made. For food, we went with the 'Farm-Flat' (aka Eloté) flatbread and a turkey pesto sandwich, and they were amazing. Presentation was beautiful, the flavors were on point, and the portions were so generous that we walked out with leftover flatbread (fair warning -- come hungry or plan to take some home). What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. Our food came out quickly, the staff was warm and attentive, and Roxy took the time to chat with us about local events and what makes Vevay such a special place to visit and live. What a gem of a human. You can tell this isn't just a business to her -- it's a love letter to the town. We can't wait to come back. If you're anywhere near Vevay, Roxy's is a can't-miss stop. This was my first time in Roxy's and it was a Saturday at about 1:30. This particular Saturday the Kat Von D black tulip field down the street was nearing the end of its life. This town was bustling with people. I walked into Roxy's and stood in the doorway not quite knowing what to do, do you wait for someone to greet you here? Still not sure about that but finally I saw a couple seats at a high top next to the bar and I walked over and sat down. The inside of the restaurant was full and the outdoor patio was filling up as well. I was right next to the bar so the bartender was right behind me and waitresses were right behind me constantly. It still took almost 20 minutes just to get a menu, as a matter of fact we did not get a menu until the waitress came over to take our order and we said we do not have a menu. My girlfriend and I decided on a flatbread to split and some truffle fries to split. We ordered our cocktails, she had The Roxy and I ordered the Carajillo. We went to order when she brought our cocktails back and she said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, we cannot do flatbreads because the dough is not ready and we are out of the soup." So we did not want her to get away so we quickly decided on something else. My friend ordered a roast beef sandwich and I stuck with the truffle fries. The place is cute on the inside and it was clean. We received our food and the food was enjoyable, my fries were hot and crisp with a lovely lemon aioli on the side for dipping and my friend said her sandwich was good. It was a really good thing we were not in a big hurry. We will be making more trips to Vevay as very soon Kat Von D is opening a new clothing shop and we want to go to see it. The western omelette had no tomato's and these were the flattest eggs I had ever witnessed. Brown and overdone. The works had the flat corners folded in and it had a good amount of stuffing and it was hot but although the menu did not say it included green peppers this one did. Oh I almost forgot hard fried potatoes that were so crunchy and dry they must have sat in the warmer a very long time. When the waitress returned we explained our situation and she immediately apologized for the food. Ask if we wanted anything else and we declined. Thanked her politely. She graciously took off the meals from our bill. While we were finishing up the table next to us was ordering breakfast. They both ordered omelettes. We waited to see what came out of the kitchen this time. To our surprise beautiful fluffy egg omelettes were served. When brought to the attention of Lexie L. ( our gracious and kind server) we spoke and she was super apologetic and said the cooks were usually very good etc etc. She insisted we wait a few minutes. We did and to our delight she came out of the kitchen with two fresh omelettes for us to take with us. It's too bad our first ones weren't this good or this review would be totally different. Anyway! And, she insisted that we check-out the urinal in the men's room which is reportedly the oldest still functioning urinal in Indiana. Funky, kinda creepy. (I posted a photo.) Anyway, Cuzz's is a fun place to stop-in for a "coldest" beer, maybe shoot a game of pool and chat with the locals.

So far on my visits, the food has been great and the service has been pretty good too. The only issue I face is when I have to get an itemized receipt for business expenses. On my last visit, I asked for an itemized receipt right when I sat down and the server came over. The server assured me that he could do it as I have had this issue on all of my previous visits. Once I ate my delicious perfectly made meal, I again asked for an itemized receipt. The server disappeared for over ten minutes and I had to go to the counter. At the counter they gave me a tiny receipt to show I paid and tipped but no itemized receipt. Again the person at the counter disappeared for another ten minutes as I guess they thought I would just go away. Finally, a manager came out and redid my whole bill and gave me a printed receipt with separate charges for what I ordered but no item description. I guess this is the best that they can do. I do recommend they modernize their POS as since there are several industries in the area, I can't be the only person who has to submit receipts for business expenses. Aside from these ongoing issues, the food is always on point and servers do the best they can.
