One small suggestion I would have preferred high level updates of where we are during root canal. However Dr Slykhous did a good job explaining afterwards and even showed me the updated x-ray which was nice. They place a temporary sealant which doesn't feel secure but seemed to be standard and they said can last up to 3 weeks. I'm satisfied with the work however the pricing is on the expensive side even with insurance so the value doesn't match the cost. Also they charge for an evaluation. Hopefully I won't need their services again as the cost would likely prevent me from returning.

Well, unfortunately, I ended up needing my first root canal recently following years of night grinding and clenching, which killed the root in one of my lower front teeth. It was discovered completely by accident (shout-out to Dr. Walton at Walton Orthodontics!) when I went in for TMJ pain and X-rays revealed this additional problem. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Skidmore and his staff at Acacia Endodontics in Casa Grande! They were so understanding when I had to reschedule after I contracted COVID-19, and then later when I was confused on whether I was to go to the Chandler or Casa Grande office for my procedure! Once I actually went in to have it done, they said I was a record 15-minute root canal, and Dr. Skidmore joked he was sure I wanted a two-hour root canal! Ha ha! Before he started his work he joked, "Let's get this party started!" LOL! ;) They had nice music playing in the background (country--my favorite, and in fact Brad Paisley my favorite country artist came on right when they started drilling!). Dr. Skidmore has such an amazingly friendly and relaxed "bedside manner" it is ridiculous and all his staff are just as nice! Definitely give these guys a try, and do NOT worry about pain. They were very gentle and it was practically painless (just the numbing med injection when the needle first goes in hurts a hair, but nothing worse than any filling I've ever had). Dr. Wright is amazing, and his nurse Kim is the absolute sweetest. This was my very first time getting a root canal and I was very nervous to say the least. I told Kim I'm terrified of needles, and the not knowing of what's going on, she talked to be about everything, showed me the scans, and even held my hand while getting numbed. Dr. Wright made sure I was completely numb before even touching my mouth, and during the whole process they both asked me if I was okay, making sure I wasn't in any pain. They also called me the day after to make sure I was feeling alright and if I had any questions! If I ever need any root canals ever again I will definitely be visiting this office again.
