I came to Prestige as a disillusioned patient from the churn and burn Banner Clinic experience (horrific and impersonal). Candee and her small but mighty staff are the most responsive, caring and conscientious people out there. Never have I been left hanging (ahem Banner, who took a year to get my well woman billing correctly submitted for payment to my carrier and billed me $800 in the interim) and when I call Candee or message the portal I get a same day response. Candee has helped me lose weight, fix my A1-c and cholesterol, and has gotten my preventive work all done in record time. I now have a CPAP machine and sleep well for the first time in years. She takes time to understand how my body works and I've literally never had a visit with her that was less than 40 minutes of solid face time resolving my health questions and concerns. My quality of life is so much better because I now have a true partner in my quest for better health. Seeing Candee has changed my health and her expertise and care has vastly improved my life. I was able to make an appointment as a NEW patient with one day's notice, which is huge considering I am in my last steps of trying to get approved to be a Living Kidney Donor, so time is of the essence. Paula reviewed my MAYO clinic/hospital information and provided me with answers and a plan so we can get approved ASAP. The location is perfect, the office is beautiful and like I said, the staff is awesome. I was looking forward to booking with NVP but I've ultimately decided against it. I've been very…read morenervous to see a psychiatrist because of fears of judgement and not being understood. I've been struggling with debilitating mental health issues for a year now and was ready to take control of my life. After I called the office the woman who answered me was very dismissive and patronizing towards me. I generally understand how my health insurance plan works but I still wanted to verify the details. Every time I've gone to a doctor's office I was told the amount I'd have to pay upfront before I schedule and am able to see the doctor. The woman told me they don't do that (verifying insurance details) and to call back when I figure it out and was quite eager to get me off the phone, treating me as if I had asked her something completely absurd, irrational, and uncommon. I was only referring to the amount I needed to get in the door, I can handle any bills sent to my address at a later time, I just needed to budget everything so I could seek treatment. I understand that doctors and other medical staff deal with a lot of patient abuse and harassment and I'm empathetic to the fact that it's not an easy trade to be in, hence why I haven't and still never disrespect, argue with, or harass healthcare workers, but regardless--when dealing with mentally ill individuals in a health care setting there has to be a level of empathy when communicating and treating them, especially because a good portion of patients seeking psychiatric treatment have a history of being bullied, abused, neglected, and/or experienced psychological abuse at one point in their lives--if not their entire lives. Her snarky tone towards me as well as her eluding to me being unreasonable and unintelligent by asking about insurance details and upfront payment felt like a 3 minute humiliation ritual.

When I was told that my T count was low at 40 years of age I was a little shocked to be honest with you. I had always associated Testosterone with bedroom activities for which I had no issues. On top of completely changing that game even, the benefits of T therapy have enhanced my total being and living experience as a whole. The energy, the clarity of the mind, changes in my physical makeup, my outlook on life, all of these attributes have really gone off the charts. My physical appearance is one of the bigger benefits! I've been able to cut my weight training to about 4 hours a week vs. 8 and am still gaining lean muscle mass. After being under the care of many practitioners and searching for someone who could help for the…read morepast 7-8 yrs I finally stumbled upon Geri. The first appointment I had with her she spent approximately an hour listening to my concerns and answering all my questions. She sent me for comprehensive blood work and I met with her a week later to go over the results and provide a treatment plan. Again she spent about another 45 min with me explaining everything in detail. She determined my hormones were all out of balance, which I had suspected as I was having hot flashes about 6 times an hour. I have now been under her care for about 6 weeks and I have to say all my symptoms have subsided. The hot flashes discontinued about 3 days into treatment and I can honestly say I feel like I did when I was in my 20s, I'm now 49. I have unlimited energy, the desire to work out, a sense of wellbeing, no more aching joints and I'm sleeping through the night. Making the decision to be under Geri's care has been one of the best decisions I have made for my health. She is truly a Miracle Worker!
