The servers here are so very nice. The food is really good 90% of the time but my rant is that I was in the restaurant the other evening and the owner made his rounds through the restaurant. He stopped at all the tables around us and greeted the people at those tables and passed us up. I am a customer as well. Why didn't he stop and greet my table? Would this be acceptable if his staff did the same thing? I guess there is something wrong with me that I am not good enough to be greeted like the other patrons. We came here in a whim as we drove by it and we were not disappointed!!! There are a few restaurants on this little highway strip near Lake Wylie and this one stood out for us. The staff was courteous and friendly and we had a pretty quick turn around time on our food. I had wings and my wife had the protein salad. The wings were big and crispy which is always a good thing and the house ranch was delicious and home made. The protein salad comes with a heap of meat (chicken,salmon) on a Giant bed of lettuce. We have gotten sick 2 out of 2 times we have been here. Last week my husband got food poisoning from undercooked chicken. We had issues both times and had to speak to the manager. This most recent time we could tell our waitress hated her job from the beginning and wasn't friendly to us. I mentioned needing a gluten free bun 3 times, it didn't arrive with a gf bun, she brought it out again lacking all the toppings, then brought me a plate of shredded cheese for my chicken sandwich (unmelted). I want to like this place because it's decently priced but they keep striking out. I dont think we'll go back for a 3rd strike unless I need to cut a few lbs and take my chance at getting food poisoning again. read more

If you're going to refuse pets on your patio then you should SAY SO on your website or something!!! 3 different websites (yelp, visit York county, & untapped) say YOU ARE pet friendly! We lived in the Boston area (outside Boston) for 25+ years. There was no shortage of places to go and people to see. We're now in Charlotte near Tega Cay and Copper Premium was one of our first establishments to stop for dinner because it's down the road. Wow. When I say my wife and I have a new family, I'm not kidding. Since that first day a couple months back we've become regulars among the regulars. The staff are amazing - very welcoming, fun, engaging, and funny. A huge shoutout to Mike and Jessica behind the bar! The food: Not one item on the menu we haven't loved. Admittedly, we haven't tried everything but that's because when we do end up trying something new we like it so much that we get stuck on it and order it again and again and again. They call that FOMO (fear of missing out). I'm serious - everything on the menu we've tried has been outstanding and we're only about 25% into it after 15+ visits. Most interesting to us is that we feel like we're walking into Cheers every time we walk in and we've quickly become part of the crew. But Cheers is in Boston where we came from. Did all the Cheers patrons move South? Either that or Cheers really isn't in Boston. I personally guarantee there are no disappointments to be found here. I'd give 6 stars if I could. read more

I was at Copper last night with my husband. I was wearing two inch pumps. The hostess was showing us to our table when I turned and fell. While I was on the floor, the assistant manager came over to me and said three sentences. 1. Are you okay? , 2. Did you hit your head?, and 3. It was your shoes! Once I got up, the hostess said that the floor is slippery. She sat us at our table, but no one ever came to see how I was. We were told about this place from a friend. I got the meatloaf with collards and garlic mash potatoes. All homemade! Very good. Spouse ordered the chicken salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Chicken was tender. Can't say to much about that, a salad is a salad. For our appetizer we ordered ahi tuna, excellent!!!!! Cooked perfectly, about 1/8 inch cooked around the edges. Hated our visit today. We been here several times and it's one of our family's favorite. This is way we decided to make reservations and bring our guest from out of town to one of our regular spots. However, I am not sure if they got new management or was sold, but this afternoon we waited over 45 minutes, from ordering, for a little over 1/2 of our food. The other orders came out 10 minutes later. The wait staff and manager appeared to be clueless in the food they serve and never apologized for the extremely long wait. The manager did apologize for not ordering enough food because of the holiday, but today is Saturday afternoon! I got a black bean burger salad which sounds good, but was not. Have been wanting to try this place since we moved to Lake Wylie. Was meeting a colleague for lunch so we figured we would give it a shot. We were seated quickly and sat at one of the high top tables in the bar area. There is a fairly large bar with plentiful seating. The server was attentive and friendly, and kept our glasses full throughout the meal. I had the fried pork chop sandwich, which was very good. My colleague had the BLT, unfortunately he wasn't a big fan.
