The interior is nice and bright, with a wide selection of chocolates for you to look at. The lady working there was very helpful, giving us good suggestions to help us pick what we wanted. We decided to get the 9 piece box to share so that we could try out various flavors. The quality of the chocolate here is great, and I can see why they have various awards for their bonbons. The chocolates all had colorful aesthetic designs to them, and the ones with fruit in them were extremely flavorful. Ones like the Dreamsicle were memorable, and they also have ones with liquor inside them for people who are interested in that. Highly recommend stopping by here if you are a big fan of chocolates!

Enjoyed the dark chocolate covered almonds which didn't use too much sugar (a good thing). Also saw some interesting options like chocolate covered orange peels, cherries, malt balls. Will have to try next time! Came here looking for the famed Coppeneur chocolate shop (but now it's online only)....but happy to find Chocolate Lab so it the visit during the cold wasn't a total loss.

The shiny copper box is unmistakable and always manages to give me the same giddy excitement I had as a kid. Now as an adult, anytime I am in town to visit family I make a point of stopping by the specific location. Primarily because this is or once was the flagship store (the arched windows remind me of a Willy wonka sort of nostalgia). But mostly because the chocolates always seem to be the freshest as this location versus others I have visited in the past. And while Bernard Callebaut chocolates are most certainly a splurge, they are worth every penny if you ask me. Since this is a rare occasion for me, I get a bigger box but not so big that it's obnoxiously embarrassing. I'm not sure what's worse, that or the fact that I don't even share them with my husband. Some of the best chocolates are: strawberry (made from real strawberries), Honey, coconut, caramel....whatever your choice- you can't go wrong. But I do not at all like the new Cococo chocolates, but perhaps you should buy just one so you can compare against the Bernard Callebaut chocolates to see what I'm talking about. Not all chocolate is created equal.

Our first stop last year was back in October during a culinary treasure hunt we participated in. Once we completed our task we were given a complimentary sample of a Habanero Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Bar to take with us. OMG it was drop dead delicious. Our next stop came in December when my in-laws (who were in town visiting) wanted to pick up some special chocolate to bring home after Christmas. We brought them here. This time we got to sample the Silver Award Winning Milk Chocolate bar flavoured with Rosemary, Thyme and Habanero Sea Salt. It is fabulous and obvious why it's a silver award winner. This place offers chocolate factory tours and this is definitely on our list of things to do...that and well come back and try some more yummy chocolate.

This is one of the best things about me living in Alberta! Purdy's! Not to found in Ontario…read more.. I am addicted to their milk chocolate bars. The chocolate is smooth and creamy, sweet without being overly sweet and not one ounce of bitterness. Hubby likes the white chocolate to switch is up as well as the rice crisp chocolate bars. The deal for 3 bars at $4.99 is fantastic. Mix and match. Great seasonal items can be found in an organized way and not once have I found something I wanted out of stock. Staff are generally friendly enough and some days there are samples but you have to ask for them at times when you see the platter hiding on the back shelf. The location is great, inside Market Mall within the food court.

I couldn't get enough of it, and as a result, my waistline was left paying the price. Despite the fact that I'm stuck working double-time to make up for all the extra indulging I did this month, I have to tell you - Purdy's chocolates is THE best Easter chocolate around. Whether you like milk, dark or white - they've got it all, and it's DAMN GOOD. Plus they sell chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, and other fun chocolate creatures. Don't even get me started on their $500 GIANT chocolate bunny. All I need is one night...just lock me in and lose the keys.
