Dr. Borgfeld performed it and the next morning, still in the hospital I noticed bleeding under the skin. He said it was just a hematoma and it would stop. Well, five days later I had to go into the hospital for a transfusion, as I had lost over a pint of blood which was pooling in the lower abdomen. I also had extreme pain. In March I had to go back to the ER and was diagnosed with enlarged kidneys because the ureters were both narrowed in the lower abdomen and I was near kidney failure. They had to put in stints which caused extreme pain and bleeding. I pretty much spent a month in bed because the pain was so bad. The ureters are better, but will not totally recover. I would avoid this doctor as he did not do anything about the bleeding when I called his office several times. The pooling of the blood in the lower abdomen caused the kidney problems.

My surgery for 1 tooth extraction was on Friday, they charged me more than I should have, charged me extra for deep sleeping anesthesia. The surgery lasted about 30 minutes. At 9:04 am I went into the surgery room with the doctor's assistant (there was a monitor with the time right in front of me). I waited for the doctor until 9:30 am (when dr.Shillingburg came in, I looked at the time on the monitor again). A few minutes later I got an injection from deep sleep . They called to my husband at 10:01am so he could pick me up! I'm 100% sure surgery was about 30 minutes, maybe even less!! But the doctor's assistant lied so much that the surgery lasted 47 minutes! REALLY??? And she said the surgery started at 8:52am! What a shame! Omg ! Check your cameras before lying to a patient who trusted you! At 8:52am, I was still standing at the checkout, sorting out the bill you gave me and trying to add $3,000 for an additional service I didn't need, in addition to $3,313 for one tooth extraction! I asked for it to be removed because the bill was already huge! It was about 6.000$ ! CRAZY ! They are the most expensive in this area, but they turned out to be such scammers! I'm shocked!

These are the only type of lenses that have successfully corrected her vision. Since we live in Baltimore, the home of the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), it was natural for us to first seek treatment at JHU, but they were unable to adequately fix her vision. We then found Dr. G and he performed a miracle with his lenses. When we returned to Baltimore with my wife's corrected vision and told the physicians at JHU that Dr. G in Texas corrected her vision problem, they asked to see her lenses, and they were amazed at what Dr. G had done and admitted they cannot duplicate his results, so we continue to see Dr. G whenever we need an adjustment or 'fine tuning' due to my wife's changing medical condition. This has made my eyes extremely light sensitive and its difficult for me to leave my home, look at computers, or do many of the things that most people can do with ease. I also have Lyme disease which is probably why my Lasik didn't turn out very well. I got Prose lenses 5 years ago through a clinic at UCSF and found them to help both my SLK And Neuropathy, but this past year or two they became uncomfortable to the point that I couldn't wear them. I found out that replacing them would cost 20,000 which was impossible for me, so I researched a little bit online, and found out about Dr. Gemoules. I was excited because it sounded like his lenses would fit better and would be one fifth of the price of replacing my Prose.  So in March I flew to Dallas and spent 5 days getting fit for my lenses, and I have to say the results have been really wonderful. The first pair of lenses that he had me try on were more comfortable than my Prose and that was just the first pair he made. He made me a total of 5 pairs until he got the most comfortable fit, with a coating that makes it so that I can barely feel them, even when I blink. They are also slightly smaller than my Prose in diameter, which makes them more comfortable and easier to put in. Overall my experience going to see Dr. Gemoules was wonderful. He is a really kind hearted person, he listened to what I had to say, and he made sure I left with the most comfortable pair of contacts that I possibly could. I am up to wearing them as much as 14 hours a day now, I am able to go outside and enjoy the day in ways I could never before when the sunlight hurt my eyes too much. For the last year or so I was basically a shut in because of my eye conditions, and now I am outside every day sometimes 5 to 7 hours. I can't recommend Dr. Gemoules highly enough and I can't thank him enough for what he did for me.

Then all my other doctors and the hospital didn't charge me because I had hit my out of pocket maximum and months later I get a bill from the office staff saying I owed money. I contacted them they said I needed to contact my insurance and now I am getting called by them saying I am going to be sent to collections. He could have been a random guy off the street for all he acted like a doctor. I came in due to unexplained bleeding after a week of immense pain and arm numbness. I had surgery for endometriosis and fibroids eight weeks ago. The treatment I received was abysmal. Some highlights -- "I'm worried about the bleeding, I know the pain in my back may be normal due to my illness. I just want to make sure I'm not having a stroke or anything." "You can't have a stroke in your lower abdomen." "What pain meds are you taking?" "I've been taking both Tylenol and Ibuprofen every two hours because I'm in so much pain." "You should try Aleve." Woah, no way? Aleve? Hold the phone. I never thought of that. Then he gives me a paper that says not to take Aleve because it'll cause me to bleed more. Uh oh. And a paper to explain what a painful heavy period is! To someone with a chronic reproductive disease. I still can't decide what part of this visit was the most disrespectful or condescending. It's a hard one. He looked at my surgical scars at one point, asked if I had a fibroid removed like he didn't believe me, and then stated that typically fibroids are removed from a larger incision. I was told he can't support or help with anything gyno related, but somehow he's an expert on laparoscopies and thinks he can criticize my surgeons work when he didn't even listen to a single thing I'd said to him since I'd been there. Did he think I was lying about getting a fibroid removed? Probably. They took my blood pressure multiple times and I, a healthy individual ACCORDING TO HIM, could not get Systolic pressure under 155. When I got there ONE SEVENTY FIVE. A cardiac episode is 180. He told me it's probably the pain. Wait, so the Aleve I took this morning isn't working? What? You said that should help. Why is my arm numb from my shoulder to my fingers? Who knows. Obviously not him. I think his excuse was that I laid on it wrong. Why has it been hurting since Friday night? A medical mystery. My insurance is paying thousands of dollars so Sherlock Holmes can tell me I laid on my arm wrong. I finally gave up trying to advocate for myself and just agreed with him so I could go home. I got no answers for my pain or my bleeding. He thinks I'm fine! So healthy. I can't believe my insurance is going to have to pay for this. The only reason I got meds in IV for my pain while I was waiting for my blood work was because I cried in front of my nurse and he advocated for me. I was the only person there at 4:30am this morning and seriously you would think I was one of 100 in that ER with how I was treated. I had to get up to go the bathroom and wouldn't you know, he was standing around doing absolutely nothing. The only person who cared about me was my nurse. Strangers that hold the door open for me in public show me better care, respect, and compassion than this DOCTOR who literally gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to do care for people in their time of need. Like what a spit in the face. And for what? I just wanted help. If I have a cardiac event or god forbid a stroke between now and Monday when I see my general doctor, I will find this hospital at fault. I am still not over how even an EKG wasn't even at least offered. That's standard practice with symptoms I displayed. Thankfully tomorrow is Monday so I can actually go to my general doctor that cares if I live or die. My discharge instruction was to lose weight. :) pain? No you're just a fat pig. EDIT FOR STAFF WHO READ THIS - If you are not the doctor who talked to me like a dog than don't apologize for him please. I don't want an apology, you've done nothing wrong. The rest of your staff was amazing. Either fire him or teach him social skills so he doesn't make another woman cry. To my nurse and the front desk gentleman if you read this, thank you for your kindness. I needed that to offset the ugliness.

Came in for my consultation and they did a thorough breakdown and gave me an estimate. I came in for my appointment and the estimate was as is. No hidden surprises there which was awesome. I sat down in the chair. They hooked me up to monitor my hearbeat and breathing. IV sedation is the way to go! I don't remember a thing. Just woke up asking if that was it. No pain at all. Dr. Igor even went the distance to personally call me and ask how everything is and if I had any questions. That right there is what defines a top notch medical professional. Not only did Dr. Igor make me feel comfortable and ensuring I didn't need to be nervous, but just to make sure I was good to go later that evening. Highly recommend!

The office staff was helpful & explained the cost well. My goal was to go with someone who has completed a large amount surgeries, and Dr. Parker has. I believe he has been practicing for around 27 years and had incredible google reviews. Make sure you watch his YouTube videos of surgery because they give you a good idea of the amazing gifts that God has given Dr. Parker and I knew I was in good hands.
