I will be careful here and narrate "unbiasedly" my experience at this U-Haul…read more I brought my 2017 Lexus NX there for a hitch and the wiring thereof. While they did not have the "plug-n-play harness they still proceeded and performed the installation without the "easy kit". I get home and a couple days later hook-up a small trailer to the car. The wiring is WRONG. The trailer lights are wired to a "constant hot" and even when the car is off the tail lights remain on. My bike rack also has lights (as it obscures the tail-lights) and I leave this on all the time - but can no longer have "tail/brake/turn signal" working due to this faulty installation job by the Coos Bay U-Haul! I have gone back no less that 4 times. All 4 times they asked to return on such and such a day/time. Each time I came at the appointed time and got the run around: "sorry, we booked and install for this/that time can you come back later. Based on my experience this is a dealer to stay away. I speculate that most of their installs go fine - its relatively simple and repeated work at which they can become proficient. BUT My experience is if something goes awry - they absolutely will not fix the problem - even. The added time for my to drive there over and over and get nothing done is clearly them making it so they never do a thing to correct their own erroneous work and installation. my recommendation based on this is to stay away!

That was resolved to the tune of $190. Our mother unexpectedly passed away in May. We would have to supply endless documentation proving her death. I was given until the 31st to find anew unit, rent a truck, and move by May 31st. Twenty days to do this. I was able to accomplish this with a week to spare. Now we are being charged an extra month because we did not give 30 days notice of her death. We now have to wait until July to get the deposit back. The manager was very nice at first until the day we had to evacuate our home due to the fires. We had no where to go, so we hung out at our storage unit. She showed up the next morning and started yelling and accusing us of LIVING in the unit,not even asking about our situation. Other people that had to evacuate also had stayed at the facility. Another time she would not let me out the gate until we did exactly what she wanted. I think that's called kidnapping, holding me against my will! Now we are trying to clean out our unit, my boyfriend worked all night loading our things. This morning I get a text from her accusing the boyfriend of living in the unit and shaving in HER bathroom. You can look at him and know that's not true! And telling me he needs to get off the property and not come back, remember he's on the contract and we have access 24/7. I called her to discuss the issue with her and she hung up on me. How professional! It's a very nice clean facility but the owner needs to put their manager in check. Get the facts before accusing someone. We have taken pictures of the unit before returning our keys, there was a $50 deposit and rent is prorated for the last few days of the month that we had paid. 8 days to be exact. I'll tell the rest of the story after she inspects the unit.
