Now the establishment offers a combination of fine wines, real ales and excellent food all served in a really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. When I ate there I had the pork belly with Calvados gravy and it was excellent. They grow their own vegetables in the garden so you can really taste the difference. I was raised partly in Italy and this was some of the best Italian food I've had in 15 years of visiting the U.K. since I graduated Uni there. You'll find a yummy sausage and onion baguettes, indulgent cream tea and fresh soups as well as larger meal options (the aforementioned being the three things I've tried!). All the food is a real treat, and with a warming fire in winter, it's an excellent place for a cosy winter pick me up.
