I absolutely love this place! I've been coming here every year for their Wine Craze Corn Maze…read moreevent, and it never disappoints. The farm is huge, beautifully kept, and has so much to do -- it's the perfect spot for a fall day with family or friends. From hayrides and putt-putt to the giant corn maze, pumpkins, farm animals, and playgrounds, there's truly something for everyone. They also have a charming country store filled with seasonal goodies, local products, and fall décor, plus plenty of food and drink stands to enjoy while you explore. You can really feel that it's a family-run farm -- the staff is always so friendly, welcoming, and eager to make your visit a great one. Van Buren Acres has become one of my favorite fall traditions, and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a fun, festive, and wholesome autumn outing!

And they sell pumpkins, cider, hot chocolate, and 4986 doodads in their gift shop. K loved it. All the kids loved it. It was somewhat fun for adults. Everything is spread out, so my legs were worn. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back someday. Barely half an hour from central Columbus. K did not want to leave.

We first stopped in at the farmer's market, which is located on the corner and has its own parking lot. It had some fun features like classic big chairs for photos and the like. The market itself is packed with tons of produce, goodies, and souvenirs, both inside and outside, including different flavored seasonal donuts, which were delicious! A little bit further down the street is the section with classic autumnal farm fun activities: corn mazes (two - including a mini one for the kids), pick your own produce (apples were ready at the time of our visit, and we enjoyed perusing the orchard), barrel ride, zip line, play area, and apple cannons, which were a blast! A variety of snacks are available for purchase at the snack shop. This area has its own parking available. Staff was helpful and friendly, and we had a lot of fun exploring and enjoying everything Lynd Fruit Farm has to offer.

There is always something going on at the farm. They even have a mailing list so you can keep up on what's going on at the farm. Apple picking is a super busy time. While your down there your using a provided map to guide yourself around and match the corresponding areas ( Ex; A to A or 1-1 ) We went after it had just rained the night before, so everything was VERY wet. Wear waterproof/walking shoes if you plan on exploring. Be prepared to get dripped on by very cold water coming off nearby rocks, and the "ceiling". Coming down the initial very steep stairs is a beautiful view of different levels of rocks decending into a tunnel/cave where the rest of the cavers are. Tons of puddles all over the ground from collected rain water and the "droplets". Most the areas are about big enough for one person to walk through the tunnel areas at one time, and if your a larger person i DO NOT recommend going down there. Some areas are extremely tight and really only accessible to someone under 4'5 and around 100 pounds or less. (Im 5'4, 140 and some areas i almost got stuck cause it was too tight going through the rocks. It is neat to see though, i dont think id want to do it again as it is just wet rocks and the furthest tunnel was closed from the previous year that occurred from some heavy rain water. (The water collected, over time causing a collapse). So that was kind of a bummer but i get it for safety reasons. The gem mining was fun, definitely loaded with a lot of "gravel" type rocks so that was new for me, Ive only ever had ones with dirt/sand that yield rocks/gems/shark teeth. We found some really interesting gemstones in each tray. The petting zoo was great. I thought it wad Going to be boring and smelly, and i was happily wrong. The goats were adorable, when we came in a baby jumped through the fence and was following our group. And when we came inside the "pen" to pet them he ran back in it was very cute! The deer were a little skittish but very sweet and gentle. The treasure hunt/maze was VERY fun we enjoyed getting different prizes snd trading them within the group.

This is an awesome place to go pumpkin picking in the fall or even have a birthday party or special…read moreevent! The farm is absolutely gorgeous and there are plenty of family friendly activities. The admission to the farm is free and prices for activities are extra but are all very reasonable. The hayride was only $3 a person and we got two huge pumpkins, several gourds, and some fudge for only $26. They have a small concession area as well and you can even purchase hot dogs to roast yourselves by the campfire. While I don't eat hotdogs it looked fun! We did try the kettle corn and a cinnamon toffee cookie and they were both delicious. There are also baby goats, a gift shop, and tons of super cute photo opportunities. Also the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!

It was a bit out of the way being in Galena but I'm happy to say it was totally worth the trip. I pulled into the farm to find flaggers there directing traffic towards two large lawns. We got there really close to opening, about 11:30 or so. It was already starting to fill up but it wasn't bad at all. The kiddos jumped out of the car and we headed straight for the wheel barrels so we could start picking out pumpkins. While they had a hay ride, and I think a few other kid activities we steered clear because of COVID. I also stopped in to ask about how things work and I was shocked to hear .49 per pound, which is much lower than others. This young lady was also the most friendly person in the world! Brought a smile to my face. The pumpkins weren't out in a field but we loved the large selection to choose from. They clearly pulled the best pumpkins they had because they were all awesome. From giant carving pumpkins, to funky ones, mini ones, and of course all the fun squash, they had it all. The back side of the barn is where you enter to get your pumpkins weighed and tallied all up. The friendliness continued and we loved browsing their goods. Fun decor, yummy canned food items, and then some! We got three large pumpkins, two small ones, and a couple squash and it all came out to roughly $30. I would absolutely visit them again. They open up after Memorial Day for the next season and I definitely plan to be back to see what they have then. Highly recommended!
