Do not use Cooper for insurance claim repairs. Communication skills ( working through 911 Textile) are atrocious.

Super responsive and ready to help. They seem to be honest and knowledgeable. I will definitely be visiting them for future piano needs

My piano needed tuning - badly. Could not have asked for a more friendly or knowledgeable person. Did a great job and even fixed a small problem I was having with the sustain pedal. Highly recommend them. read more

I recommend Cooper piano without reservation. This is a family owned business and the service is outstanding. Kyle assisted us in finding the right piano for our needs. Our time was utilized efficiently and customer service was excellent. Family owned business that takes pride in what they do...rare these days. If you are looking for a piano this is the place to start. Ask for Kyle. read more

Last month, I made a second purchase from Cooper Piano. The first purchase was an electronic piano that I bought in 2004 that lasted some ten odd years. This time I bought an acoustic console and it is absolutely wonderful. Kyle worked with me on a spinet trade-in. He had another customer come in who was purchasing a baby grand but he did not leave my side (although my purchase was many thousands less than hers. Because I have been in sales and know what it's like to earn commissions, I continued to ensure him that it would be okay for him to help her and I'd wait. But no, Kyle finished my deal and saw it through to the very end). He was knowledgeable, customer focused, and fun to work with. He made the experience upbeat and pleasant with no pressure or intimidation. He is a talented musician with a sweet disposition. Kyle and Cooper Piano clearly care about each customer, regardless of the dollar amount of the sale. With this top flight customer service, and the impeccable quality of their products, I will most definitely recommend them to everyone in the market for a piano. And, I will return for a third purchase. Emmie Cochran-Jackson read more

My husband wanted to buy me a digital piano for my birthday so we went to Cooper Piano and it was such a wonderful experience. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff that helped us sample different pianos and ultimately helped us find exactly what we were looking for. The owner, Mr. Cooper, introduced himself and thanked us for our purchase. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and walked out with the piano I was hoping for! read more

We made the right decision in hiring Cooper Piano to move our baby grand piano. Link and Douglas took great care to wrap the piano to ensure safe transport, and they were patient with us while we considered where to place it in our home. The process was quick and painless. I found this store by googling. Called to say what I was looking for and Jim told me he had just a Casio Keyboard on clearance. After work I dashed over getting there 15 minutes before closing. There was Jim playing "Come Thou Fount" on a beautiful piano. I was shown the keyboard we talked about and less than 10 minutes later Jim loaded up my car and I departed. Personable customer service. Beautiful inventory for most price ranges. I enjoyed my experience shopping at Cooper Piano. read more

Love these guys!!! We have used them twice in the past 3 years. Once, when we purchased a piano and needed to bring it home, and then again this week when we had to move our piano to our new home. They take great care and pay special attention to every aspect of moving a piano. Hopefully we won't be moving again, but if we upgrade and need to move the piano again, we will be hiring them. read more

Cooper Piano rocks! They really helped me out today by comping me a replacement piano part that was lost by our movers this morning. In addition to the helpfulness I experienced at Cooper Piano today, we had a great experience purchasing our upright piano from them about a year ago. We were able to buy a used starter piano (it sounds awesome) from them at a great price. I highly recommend you visit this place whether you are in the market for a starter piano or a concert piano. They seemed to have it all and they are super cool people to boot. Cooper Piano has been owned by the same family for like 113 years! read more

First of all, this is a beautiful piano store with a wonderful inventory. I came to have a very old Steinway refinished. They worked hard to get it looking great again, and I have the utmost respect for their fair business practices. Their piano movers are pros. My piano is huge and they delivered it with smiles. They are all warm people and have been in business for many decades which says a lot. read more

We had a great experience at Cooper! Bob Shepheard provides us the personal touch and depth of knowledge we needed to make the right purchase for a ur daughter's keyboard. She also enjoyed playing pianos ranging from a couple of thousand to tens of thousands of dollars. They respected our opinions and requirements and worked to find what we needed within our budget. Kudos and high recommendations. read more

Cooper Piano sent Michael out to inspect our piano - a Wurlitzer from the 60's - and found it in excellent shape....said it would last at least another generation. They then moved the piano to my son's home and the men who showed up were on time and extremely professional and careful with the piano. Michael will come and tune in a few weeks. Now my two young granddaughters have a piano to enjoy for many years to come! Thanks Cooper Piano. I am so glad I used your company! read more

While this store has a nice selection of pianos the salesmen are stuffy, car salesmanlike, high pressure, get over on grandma/soccer mom slicksters. Extremely overpriced, and unwilling to negotiate I find this place a terrible deal compared to the local Indy competition. Do your research and you will find much better deals are available nearby. I would advise you to avoid this trap at all costs if you want a good deal on a piano. read more

I've used Cooper Piano tuner's twice now and both times I had a pleasant experience. They are professional and respectful of your space and I absolutely love listening to them work on the piano! They have a true love for the instrument and it shows in their conversations and work. My piano sounds great! read more

Alright, so similar to my Global Imports BMW review, this one may seem a bit high brow for some, but Cooper Music Superstore deserves your business when you're in the market for a piano. Geoff and I are in the process of building a house in town and we both grew up taking piano lessons and playing for a significant portion of our formative years. We both agreed that we wanted to have a grand piano in our new home. We also agreed not to buy anything for the new house until it was built, but yeah, we haven't done very well in that respect. Some art, rugs, and now a grand piano! We started our Saturday errands this past weekend with both the Steinway Gallery and Cooper Music Superstore on our 'to do' list. We planned to start at the Steinway Gallery first and check out the Essex line of grand pianos. We parked at Cooper and walked down - there was a sign on the door "Be back in 10 minutes. -Management"...too bad, so sad - we went back to Cooper and met with Kyle Smith. Geoff had spoken with Kyle previously on the phone when we started looking into purchasing a piano. He immediately made the connection and welcomed us both into the store. On Saturday, Kyle and Steve were working and both had an incredible knowledge of the instruments on the sales floor. Kyle very clearly explained the difference between 'rent to own' and purchasing scenarios - and since our house is not yet finished, we were able to reserve the piano we wanted from the sales floor. It will be going into storage next week until we are ready to take delivery. I was extremely impressed with the range of options available and the very reasonable asking prices for this luxury item - going into the process, I thought it would be cost prohibitive for us to have such a beautiful instrument in our home, but I was pleasantly surprised. Kyle and Steve made the process very easy and enjoyable - I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a grand (or other) piano. They have an incredible on hand inventory and I personally cannot wait to get my fingers on our Knabe Grand. read more

What a wonderful experience here. I bought a piano bench that turned out wasn't exactly what my husband wanted. I couldn't find the receipt and was very concerned it would be a problem when I went in to return it. Turns out there was no problem at all. I was offered a refund but instead they found exactly what I wanted and gave me an even exchange, even though I am sure the new item was worth more. Not only are these people experts in their field with a showroom filled with tons of gorgeous pianos, but they are super nice and helpful too. It was like doing business with family (and incidentally, it is a family business). Thanks! read more

***After writing this review, the owner Blake and a customer service person John immediately contacted me to remedy the situation. I was offered a full refund (that I declined), but I now feel like Cooper Piano is the kind of place that wants to get it right. If you are unhappy with Cooper's performance, just let them know and they will try to fix it.*** I hired Cooper Piano to tune my husband's upright piano and thought the pricing was reasonable ($125). Within about five minutes of arrival, the piano tuner recognized that the piano was broken and could not easily be tuned. However, his service manager, Larry, still charged me the full amount of the tuning because of the time spent during the assessment (~10 minutes total). I was willing to pay a service fee for the tuner's visit and travel time, but I was shocked that a ten minute assessment was the same price as a 90 minute tuning session. I felt like these fees were not transparent going in to the transaction and I felt like Larry could have been more flexible in this situation. Larry's compromise was that my $125 could go toward a future piano repair (which could end up be thousands of dollars). However, the shining light of my Cooper Piano experience was the piano tuner, Manny. Manny was friendly, knowledgeable, and sympathetic. Despite having a broken piano, he felt compelled to tune the keys that were not damaged since I was forced to pay the entire $125 tuning fee. This consolation prize made me feel much better about the entire experience. I would love to do work with Manny again in the future and Cooper Piano should hang on to him for his top-notch customer service and skill. read more

The piano business can be confusing for the inexperienced buyer (Thus Larry Fine's Piano Buyer Guide) but Blake Cooper is definitely one of the good guys! I bought my Yamaha U3 from Cooper 6 years ago, after a careful search, and have had wonderful, responsive service ever since (both tuning every 6 months and a couple of instances of trouble shooting). Any of Cooper's instruments comes with one of the best guarantees. Blake will make every effort to insure customer satisfaction! read more

My wife is a piano teacher. We already owned our pianos before we became acquainted with Cooper Pianos but all of our dealings with them have been incredibly positive. I wish we had bought our pianos from them! We've attended recitals there over the years and have always enjoyed their hospitality and professionalism. And we've recommended them to my wife's students. Today they moved our pianos to our new home. This was nerve-wracking - as musicians we are incredibly protective of our instruments and as home owners we were worried about damage to the new floors in our new house. The move was tricky (grand piano down uneven steps and down loose brick walkways and up a steep driveway) but they took their time to do it right - even called in a few more guys just to be safe. Everything went without a hitch - super careful and polite and professional and nice friendly guys. We will definitely recommend them to all we know - and especially the moving department. They put our minds and ease. Thank you!!! read more

We are highly satisfied with our experience purchasing a piano at Cooper Piano in Atlanta. John Goddard and Silas were extremely helpful assisting us in finding the proper pre-owned piano for our son, who is beginning to take lessons. They have a great showroom filled with a range of instruments from which to choose. They did a great job listening to our needs and helping us find a piano within our budget, without a high-pressure sales pitch. The piano was delivered as promised in perfect condition and it has been a great addition to our home. We definitely recommend Cooper Piano to anyone looking and greatly appreciate the professional and courteous assistance from John and Silas. read more

Admittedly, I own an old piano that presents some special problems, but I recently had it tuned by a Cooper technician and within a week it had developed annoying sounds that had never been present before. Also, while initially in good tune, it has not retained it for more than a few weeks. Again, this has not been a problem with previous tuners. It felt to me that the tuner was extremely interested in learning the skill level of the people using the piano to the point that I could not help wondering if he was adjusting his work to fit his perceptions. I think my biggest mistake was in informing him that I was considering having some repairs done on the piano by Cooper. He seemed more interested in when that would occur than in completing the job at hand. Now I need to find a technician who can eliminate the annoying new sounds and hopefully recommend someone else to do the repairs. read more
