I am basing my review only on SUMMER classes . Purchased a summer card for my 6yr old daughter to…read moretry different classes with hopes she could find something she likes . Love this card idea bc it lets the kids without prior experience explore different dance styles before committing to a year long class. The teachers have been very nice and every class has been fun. The front office staff was very welcoming.

They will challenge you when you tell them that you didn't receive a call back. I showed them a call log of the number of times I call and leave messages and no return calls and the girls who work there will still argue with you as if I am not a paying customer. 4. They don't have any hours of operation so you never know if anyone will ever pick up the phone. 5. Parking is a nightmare 6. They don't take credit cards and if you use it , there is a 3% service fee regardless of what kind of credit card it is. They prefer CASH or check. 6. Instructors seemed ok, if you can deal with the above 7. Owner was pleasant and so was her daughter once I finally got in touch with them. I wish they were present more often to witness the younger staffs lack of customer service skills. 8. They don't offer make up classes like other dance and gymnastics studios. You miss you still pay. 9. They did honor my request for a refund. Sadly my daughter will not attend the dance recital which I have already paid for the costume . Dance Studio has so much potential to be so much better!

I have three daughters and a son that take ballet, tap and jazz here. Your kids will learn…read morediscipline, and structure, and classical ballet. Don't lose heart, parents, this journey requires you to let go and let the teachers do their job. The dynamic of the class varies, but the teachers are consistent. Observe the more advanced classes, the dancers probably grew up and looked just as confused as your 3yo does. But they will get it, and they will be better for having been a cookie joe dancer.

My initial impression was good because they have a lot of good morals and they are actually teaching the little girls good technique. However, after a few months, I started to notice that there was a lot of distraction happening, especially in the little girls class. The instructors focus was to try and convince even younger little girls maybe two years old and younger to try and come in to take the class. The instructors attention to the girls sitting on the floor with their parents Was more than 50% of the class this really distracted my child. I had my in-laws and my husband also take my daughter when I could not and they did not have any nice things to say about the class. They mentioned that expectation was way too strict for little girls And my husband did not like the atmosphere that was set by the owners-- he said that they were not friendly toward him at all as a first time parent parent taking his child. As a dancer, myself with a degree, I also understand that temperature is important in the studio, but in the summer months it was way too hot almost 80°. I don't think this is an appropriate temperature. I don't think they carry themselves in a nurturing and comforting way. We have found the climate to be very militant as opposed to relational. They are diplomatic and do nice things for the community, but not enough to keep us here. We will not return to take class.

Honestly, not the biggest fan. My children have been to…read moreother gymnastics and dance studios but this one did not impress me by one bit. Gym time isn't that bad probably the only consistent activity where coaches need to be more hands on but give the children so much freedom to run loosely with little direction, yes it's supposed to be fun but I feel like they are missing on one key elemental skill which is coaching verbally in order to maintain order as much as a coach can. The staff loves to be on their phones, yes all the staff (at least when we went) were young teen ladies but what kind of example is that on the young? Oh it's totally ok to be on phones as you are being instructed? ....I think not. What teen doesn't want to go out on Friday nights but once employees commit to a job, it is their responsibility to take on the duties that are expected. Lastly, the dance class. Never in my life have I had my two other children attend a dance class directed by a TV screen, almost identical to little Julian from Big Daddy when he was hopping around while watching the Kangaroo sing-a-long. Dance instructors typically (from my previous experiences) have all children in a pattern, either by the bar or in a circle to see the children's body movements as they are being taught the basics of dance. This would be a lot different if the studio class was dealing with toddlers or young children but when children are at the age to comprehend and act upon the instruction. I am no dance instructor but experiencing dance at different age groups from both my other children and from the little that I remember, children are missing out on such a wonderful experience even if they are not part of the dance team. Perhaps even challenging themselves or simply just practice stretching exercises, parents here are being robbed on what could be a great hobby for these kids to possibly pursue as they get older. Luckily, for us we are no longer members of this gym and dance studio. We are actively looking for something along the lines of my older two have experienced since our youngest child seems to really enjoy gymnastics and dance.

These kind souls (the counselors) went to the trouble of throwing a little party for our daughters, with cake and tiaras (which our daughters love) that light up and say "Happy Birthday." Such an act of thoughtfulness deserves nothing short of a top-notch rating.
