She has been in the Sugar Land area with us for almost two years now. Our local high school has an amazing Dance Coach & the group of girls are wonderful! Definitely a group I was hoping for her to befriend. She tried out for the dance team last year & made the JV Squad. She loves dancing & the friendly comraderie that the girls build through their group texts & other online platforms. We were delighted that this year when she tried out she made the Varsity team for next season! She has been practicing like a maniac to make sure she represents the school & Coaches in a positive light. At the Spring Show we were thrilled that the coaches brought in a few local dance studios to show us their stuff! Fierce Factory blew the roof off the stage!" Or as the kids say, "they ate it up!" INCREDIBLE is the only way I can describe what we witnessed!! I asked our Niece how we could support her & what she needed from us for her to continue growing academically & physically. She asked for some help with dancing! (Her leaps & turns could use a little help.) Of course I got online to contact FF right away! Dara was very friendly & welcoming! Supportive, & is very familiar with our high school team & what our Coaches look for! After her first class my niece was smiling, seemed to be walking taller, & was so excited about what she learned! Now we just need to create a nice dance space at home for her to be able to practice every thing she will be learning!! Highly recommend this location & program! In hindsight I wish I had enrolled her in FF before she tried out last year. I am confident that her experience with competitive gymnastics helped her learn dance & to continue to keep her toes pointed!! FF had a very nice staff & when you walk in the door all you see are trophies everywhere!!

Don't lose heart, parents, this journey requires you to let go and let the teachers do their job. The dynamic of the class varies, but the teachers are consistent. Observe the more advanced classes, the dancers probably grew up and looked just as confused as your 3yo does. But they will get it, and they will be better for having been a cookie joe dancer.

My initial impression was good because they have a lot of good morals and they are actually teaching the little girls good technique. However, after a few months, I started to notice that there was a lot of distraction happening, especially in the little girls class. The instructors focus was to try and convince even younger little girls maybe two years old and younger to try and come in to take the class. The instructors attention to the girls sitting on the floor with their parents Was more than 50% of the class this really distracted my child. I had my in-laws and my husband also take my daughter when I could not and they did not have any nice things to say about the class. They mentioned that expectation was way too strict for little girls And my husband did not like the atmosphere that was set by the owners-- he said that they were not friendly toward him at all as a first time parent parent taking his child. As a dancer, myself with a degree, I also understand that temperature is important in the studio, but in the summer months it was way too hot almost 80°. I don't think this is an appropriate temperature. I don't think they carry themselves in a nurturing and comforting way. We have found the climate to be very militant as opposed to relational. They are diplomatic and do nice things for the community, but not enough to keep us here. We will not return to take class.

Doesn't look like much when you drive past - okay, I'm using the canned Yelp message there - and,…read moreif you arrive at night, it's likely that you'll drive right past it. The Palladium is located on a one-way freeway frontage road, so you can't make a U-turn to get there if you pass it up. But it's not one to avoid. The Palladium is not a franchise of a nationwide company named after Arthur Murray or Fred Astaire. It's a local concern, and doesn't offer as much as the other two studios I listed. I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The social dance community of Houston is smaller than in other cities, so there's much overlap from one instructor to another, and it's likely that you'll meet someone there who you danced with somewhere else. I haven't met any snobs yet, but you can't assume that they won't be there. I first went to the Palladium for New Years Eve. I've been several times since then. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way." Beaumont simply has nothing like The Palladium, likely because few people in the Coonie Triangle are interested in ballroom or Latin dancing. I encourage you to find a class or party and stop on by.

Really great dance classes - very friendly to beginners and very easy to follow. Took salsa and…read morebachata classes here and would highly recommend going here. Love this studio and concept--all about community and confidence! Diva Dance is an all levels all…read moreinclusive dance studio where you learn a new choreographed routine every class and get a work out in all within 60 minutes. There are 2 locations for this studio, with most classes being held in the evenings at the Sugar Land location, and Friday and Sundays being at the Stafford studio. They offer 1 class each evening usually and on Saturday mornings. You'll find yourself dancing to all the latest hits (but there's a good musical variety). They also have regular workshops and monthly events such as line dancing, bachata and lyrical work shops, and different dance class formats inclusive of yoga (Dance RX or Zumba like--Dance nonstop). The community here is amazingly supportive and the instructors are all fabulous. I love a workout where it doesn't feel like a workout, and that's what this is for me. I enjoy the challenge of learning a new routine and I'm never bored which I often find happens to me with other workouts or studios. My confidence as a dancer has improved drastically since joining last year. Give it a try if you're interested even if you are like me and never thought of yourself as a "dancer", you might be surprised to find your rhythm!

During the class, you learn step by step choreography to go along with a song of the day. The location is tricky to find because there isn't a big banner: it is the LAST (far left/back corner) suite facing Settlers Way Blvd, before the shopping center ends and turns into a neighborhood of houses. I've only done Zumba classes before, so I'll compare/contrast to DivaDance: In Zumba, you do 4-5 moves per song and do about 15 songs per class In DivaDance, you do 1 song per class and learn a music-video-like choreography routine with many moves. It sounds like a lot, but they break it down for you and you learn it bit by bit I couldn't stay for the full hour because of a schedule conflict, but overall I'd say it is fun and a mental workout to learn the routine. It wasn't much of a cardio workout because we weren't jumping and running around. I would say the cardio level is low to medium and definitely beginner friendly.
