I contacted LG this morning and they agreed to provide the compressor and dryer at no charge. LG sent the authorization e-mail to Masterminds of Appliances this morning. When I followed up with Masterminds of Appliances they refused to order the needed parts unless I paid for them in advance. I was not able to get them to understand LG will supply the parts for free. So we have no path forward to repair our refrigerator. UPDATE: 16 June 1:00 PM Service manager contacted me and assured me he will contact LG to verify the parts can be shipped at no cost to Masterminds of Appliances. The situation appears to be resolved.

One was receiving cancer treatment from MD Anderson and her 25 year old daughter is her Caregiver. My guest had her first round of chemo today. Imagine my horror to come home to a 90 degree house! Houston has its first day of a heat index warning, and my air conditioning goes out! I was so worried about my guest and her ability to tolerate the heat. Every year we had to have someone come out to fix our AC system. We looked on the back of our church bulletin and found Air Energy Air Conditioning and Heating's add we called after having no Ac for two weeks. They had a team out within an hour and they were very thorough and they checked everything inside and out and found the problem. We are on a budget and helped us find the solution within our budget. They got us a new outside unit the next day they came out and installed it once they installed it they checked everything over three times to make sure everything was done properly. We finally had a working air conditioner and the house was comfortable again. Marco and his team were super professional,courteous, and honest;they didn't try to upsell and charge us for things we didn't need. Everything was affordable and professionally done. We should have asked more questions at the time of the quote. Glad to hear there are cheaper options to fix the issue now. I may have just had a one-off experience because everyone seems to love them, or maybe the tech we got wasn't honest, but I called them since our washer was struggling during the spin cycle. They quoted us over $400 to fix this and said it was because it's a complicated and expensive part to replace. Luckily, we ended up doing some research and the part was $30 at Lowe's and it took maybe 20 minutes to replace ourselves. We had to pay the diagnostic fee which was over $100 even though we already knew what was wrong with it. The whole experience felt dishonest. Even if they used authentic parts I can't see that they would be that much more expensive and the labor was definitely not complicated. Next time we're going to research the fix before calling anyone. Sucks that good appliance repair companies are so hard to find.
