Dean from Amerisigns came out to make several signs for my wife's business. Initially we were…read moreimpressed with him since he came out, took a picture of our business, and helped design a sign for us on his laptop. This was impressive to us since it helped us build her brand. Unfortunately after getting the job, our experience with him was all downhill from there. Dean was tasked with re-using several letters of the existing sign at her place of business. It turns out upon delivery of the sign, Dean at Amerisigns did not bother to match the bulb intensity of the existing letters with the one letter he had to add. He was also unwilling to resolve the issue afterwards, claiming the bulb intensity would gradually fade to match the existing letters which was an outright lie as it turns out several months later. When we initially selected his company we did so due to his close proximity to our place of business. We thought this would help build a relationship where it would be easy for him to service us and our ongoing sign needs. Given this, we assumed that our previous experience with him was an honest and accidental oversight and chose to use his company again for a banner. We paid approximately $250 for a banner to hang under our pylon signs. He also agreed he would come out and hang the sign for us. Quite frankly based on the price we paid (which as it turns out is about $150 over what we could have paid), we believe that it was adequate enough to accomodate the cost of hanging the sign. He came and hung the banner, which lasted all of 3 weeks before a storm came and blew it down. My wife called him several times to come and fix it, and although he's only 1 block away from our business, he dodged calls and avoided the work. When he was enticed with more business (which now we will direct to other companies), he was interested but refused to fix his past mistakes until we paid him for more work. In short, don't work with this guy. It'll be tempting but he'll screw you over in the end.

We have used them over the course of 2 years to complete the above projects. The work was very good and the prices are competitive. The best part is our LED sign. We put it in the same time as a store down the street. The store down the street constantly has issues with the sign they have and the company they use take weeks at a time to come fix the sign and so far we have not had to deal with anything like that. We believe we ended up choosing the better LED provider in this case. The one time we had an issue, they came out right away to fix it. Overall the process was very painless. The design and redesigns where done via email and over the phone minimizing wasted time. We have also given the company name to other business people we know so that they can use the same company.

I went to several stationary shops nearby : Anvil Cards, The Space Montrose, H.E.B (yes not a stationary shop but they sell cards), Whole Earth (somehow I was hoping this outdoors gear shop would sell cards), Trader Joes, and even B&N. Sadly they all failed me. Don't get me wrong, these are all fantastic shops for unique and hilarious cards (especially Anvil and The Space Montrose). They just don't sell what I was looking for. So I stumbled upon this shop and my oh my they swept me off my feet! For you drivers out there, they have PLENTY parking spaces for tiny cars and SUVs! First when I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely elder lady (sadly I didn't get her name) who asked me what I was looking for and immediately went to look for them. She obviously knew what she was doing, she zoomed from one corner to another and pulled out several cards for me. Then suddenly I heard little happy taps and low and behold they have a little lap dog with a red sweater named CeCe!!! CeCe will make sure to sniff your shoes and greet you as you walk in. The best greeter in town if you ask me. I proceeded to look around on my own because I like to explore. The ladies in store were very thoughtful and knew that so they let me roam. If you are looking for high quality cards, this is the place! They have 100% cotton cards, Downton Abbey stationary sets, embossed and debossed cards, quill cards, leather notebooks, etc. Also this would be a good place to get cards for your wedding or baby showers. I heard they also do personalized Christmas cards. Now if you are hoping to get a good bang for your bucks, this will not be the place. Before this store I got a pack of 50 average-quality cards for $10 on Amazon. Here, $10 would get you 3-5 cards. But you do get what you pay for since they are very nice paper and feel amazing when you write (especially with a fountain pen). I took photos of the 2 boxes that I bought. Both are very very pretty and I'm very happy with them. Also, they take Apple Pay!!!

I first heard about them a few months ago as they were all over my facebook feed. So they actually became one of the sponsors at the bayou arts festival and it was such great fun. Their props are a blast and the guys who run the booth know how to interact with the customers. It makes you want to act silly! My favorite thing about these guys is the border though. The custom borders are very classy and not cheesy. The all black cube keeps it very sleek. The pictures come out almost instantaneous.
