So last fall when I needed a simple hair trim, I made a same day appointment with Amanda at the Edge Salon. Apparently she was the only one with an opening. I courteously showed up 10 minutes early and ended up waiting over 25 minutes to be seen because she was "waxing" someone. I sure hope she washed her hands in-between clients!!! Keep in mind this was the first time I'd seen or met Amanda. She was very unprofessional; nosy about my personal life (what was the name of the company I worked for, exactly where in Taylor did I live, was I married, who was my husband, how many kids did I have). I really took offense to her forceful & prying questions considering we had just met. Back to the hair trim. I had long straight hair, which you wouldn't think would be that hard to cut. Apparently that's not the case because it came out completely crooked and I had to fix it myself once I got home. Waste of money. If Amanda still works there, I wouldn't recommend her. I have heard good things about other stylists at the Edge Salon though, so don't write them off. Just avoid her!

She gave me the highest of high bald fades...except there was no fade, it was just skin then a line of hair...no fade. I hated the haircut but didn't complain because I understand everyone had a bad day. Gar her a second chance three weeks later and the second haircut was worse. I had to have my girlfriend, who is NOT a stylist actually fade my hair to make it look decent immediately when I got home from sport clips. Everyone has to start somewhere, but I feel like I might have been ape's first and second attempt at a fade.
