I just went in today to get my terriers nails clipped. Sara only charges $5 for a quick nail clip. She could tell my dog has arthritis and I let his nails go too long. She wouldnt take my money. She said if she can make Dexter feel better then that was enough payment for her. She was going to be a vet but likes grooming better. What a wonderful person! read more

She gives a great cut and truly understands our want and needs as well as our pet's. She also supports local non-profits in their fundraising events by donating grooming certificates. Great job on my Cairn Terrier. Though I did think the service was a bit high, especially if one is giving per a tip too. Appointment service/reminder is very good about letting one know an appointment is coming up. And it has a direct texting service to the owner if doggie parent has questions or needs to reschedule. read more

Usually excellent. This last time I was very unhappy as they rushed wash, cut dry in 45-min. and it was very uneven, and sloppy, a bunch of missed areas, way too short on sanitary. Also, bought little shoes that had a sticker for $4.00 on one side, $28.00 on the other. Due to past inconsistencies, will probably go elsewhere. Sorry Sara. read more

Sara is an amazing groomer! She is talented, loving and patient with our fur babies. I took my little girl to Saras today. She looks adorable and smells wonderful as always! Sara has been grooming my little girl since I brought her home 4 years ago. My little girl loves going to Sara's for her spa days. She gets so excited when she sees Sara and Shannon. I have referred several friends to Saras Cool Critter Cuts and every friend has told me that they are so happy with their fur babies grooming. Sara and Shannon are both incredible. Unprofessional staff. After an ongoing family emergency that has demanded my attentionI and travel away from home for several weeks, my golden doodles become overgrown. I knew I needed to get them groomed. I made an appointment at Cool Critters. I dropped them off in the morning. It was obvious they were overgrown when I dropped them off. The groomer could have stated upfront that she does not like working with dogs that are overgrown. When I returned to pick up my dogs, Kassie stated, "your dog bit me," and "it was too dangerous." I was shocked. It was accusatory and made no sense to me because my dog does not bite at home. It wasn't until later that it was explained that the dog had stickers between its toes and didn't like having its feet groomed because she was in pain. That is completely different than stating my dog was "dangerous." perhaps the groomer should have been more gentle when she realized the dog was in pain. Perhaps the groomer should have stated that the dog had stickers between its toes instead of labeling the dog as "dangerous." I left a tip even though I felt the exchange was inappropriate and with the intention of not returning. The next morning I received a text on my phone once again reiterating that my dog was "dangerous." and with capitalized words. A professional staff would have simply refused to serve me the next time I tried to make an appointment and to not follow up with a text the next morning to continue the argument. It would have been nice if the staff recognized that sometimes people have family emergency outside of their control and that, because people are more important then pets. Sometimes pet care will suffer. I don't think it is fair, that as I am making difficult decisions during the last last few weeks of my mother's life, I had to be chastised by the dog groomer because my dogs became overgrown. read more

My dogs love Sara. I get them groomed fully at least once a year for the summer and one gets a full shave several times a year. But Sara extracts the glands, nails, shaves and my high strung chihuahua's love the attention even though they do not always trust others. They may be vocal in my leaving but that is they nature of my dogs which follow me room to room at home. Yes even the toilet. I know that Sara makes them feel safe when I am absent. When I pick them up they feel like they have been to the spa. They know now when I say, "Want to go see Sara?" At least one will wait by the back door because she knows Sara by name now. If you are a person that connects with your pet on an emotional level and the separation anxiety level of your pet is extreme, Sara is a great groomer. She is terrific with animals and not just as a groomer. Sara has the gentle touch that even a shivering chihuahua finds comfort in. I do recommend this groomer. read more

It's been a long time since we had our dogs groom here but at the time we did, the first time was great. She had our dogs looking good. The second time was horrible. I had told Sara not to cut the face and she did anyway! It was the same cut as before! Then we decided to go for a third time, maybe thinking that she was having a bad day. So I made an appointment to get our dogs groom but when I got there no one was at the place! No note on the door or phone call to me about changing the appointment time. There was like 7 people waiting on the groomer when I got there and they too were wondering why the shop wasn't open. After waiting outside the grooming place for an hour for some kind of word from Sara, I decided to call the shop phone and left a message stating of how angry I was. We were having our carpets also clean that day and I had to come home with dirty dogs on a freshly clean carpet! My husband decided to try again to get our dogs groom with Sara, but even those she told him to bring the dogs right in and that she had time plenty of time to groom them, when she heard our last name and the name of our dogs, she did a about face and told my husband that she had no time to do them and she was very very busy. The only reason why we decided to give her another chance was because we wanted a groomer close by to where we live and we had family coming. But with all the problems and that Sara had lied to my husband, we decided on that day that Sara wasn't a person that we wanted to do business with. Sense then, I have did my own grooming of our dogs and found a groomer in Georgetown. SO, JUST BEWARE OF THE GROOMER IN COOL, CA. HER NAME IS SARA . read more

Sara has been negligent on more than one occasion with my cats & dogs, but i thought she was just flaky, not someone who should not be allowed to care for animals- but she is not trustworthy. i set an appointment a week ahead, dropped off on time& she told me an hour and a half. 45 minutes later, she called demanding i pick up my cat: the most gentle creature i have ever known. When i arrived, Sara was tense, pushed my cat crate towards me saying "she usually loves the clip, but today, i couldn't hold her down..." i asked what she meant by 'hold her down' and asked why my cat was covered in shit' and why was she was not acknowledge that?" She said she "hadn't noticed" and expected to be paid. i paid because her white trash life must be bad to do what she did to upset my cat & scare her sooo... but i let some time pass to give this review, because small towns are small & i waited to hear other stories that were unspoken as well. i even tolerated a 50% cancellation rate on her part (she seems to work some days, never a steady schedule.... My dog was well groomed during his visit. Unforuntately my pup is water shy and can be challenging to bathe. Fortunately, Sarah is patient and caring and offered some really great tips on how to ease my pup into becoming comfortable with water. I love Sarah! I take my two dogs there and they are big yellow labs. They have TONS of fur. I am not the best at bringing the dogs in regularly so there is a lot of undercoat that needs to be brushed out. Sarah does a great job and is always smiling. I am so impressed with Cool Critter Cuts. We've never taken our dog to a groomer, but our dog's shedding is excessive this year, so we decided to try it. Our dog is a Border Collie mix and his undercoat has been coming out in clumps. After a session at Cool Critter Cuts the shedding is under control! Before grooming, piles and piles of dog hair - even an hour after vacuuming the house! After grooming, hardly any hair at all. We've decided to take the dog in on a regular basis. I could not recommend this groomer. My dog came back home yelping with pain in his neck. She was pulling on his neck to get him to come in. We rescued him from an abusive home, so he is very slow to trust New people. She should not handle the dogs so roughly...but work to gain their trust! read more
