I had Cool Covers install a pergola in my patio that turned out amazing. I had them return for a second install of an awning over a large window on the front of our home. The initial install had the incorrect measurements, but Cool Covers was prompt in fixing the mistake and reinstalled the awning which looks great. The bid process was very thorough. Zack took the time to walk me through the entire process, set realistic expectations and at no time did he try to hard sell or upsell me. I was told 3-4 weeks for installation. An opening popped up after only a week, and I agreed to the change. Zack told me the crew would be to my house at 10 am. On the dot they arrived and it took them about 4 hours to complete the job. There were no issues, no drama and they cleaned up before they left. Very impressive. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these clowns! I'm fully convinced they're paying for good reviews because these guys are terrible! Let me walk you through the process of what I experienced... Where to begin.. well, it starts with a visit from a guy who will come out and take measurements and give you his recommendation. Then he'll work in a discount and promise they can get the job done immediately. Once you agree to the quote and try to schedule an appointment, that same guy will come out with someone else to take "final measurements" and up sell you on a bigger package because "this will likely be better for you." But don't worry, he'll "give you a deal you can't refuse." This isn't true at all. Then he'll tell you "We can get this done tomorrow if you need it" which I did and made it clear I had to have my project done by Thursday, to which I was assured "oh that's easy, no problem at all." Next he'll ask to go inside so he can write it up. Once you've signed the paper agreeing to the price the second guy will say "well we've got a job tomorrow so Tuesday we'll be able to get this done. And I'll be the one doing it so I'll be sure it's done correctly and on time. " No problem right? Thursday is my hard deadline I need this done by. Well, once they leave their office will call you to set up a day. The office called and said Wednesday will be best. I again expressed the importance of this being done before Thursday and was again assured "we'll be able to do this in 1 day so no problem." Well... everything opposite happened. First, the people who showed up weren't the people I was promised. They were some young guys who didn't show up until after 11 when I was assured they'd be here first thing in the morning. Then, they get halfway done and leave for the day saying there was too much wind. I cannot express this enough, there wasn't a breath of wind that day and the weather was perfect. But they say "don't worry, we'll be back bright and early to finish this up, only about another hour left of work." But don't you dare call to complain because you'll be told "oh that's not their nature." Pretty much called a liar and was told to deal with it they'll be out to finish when they can. They don't show up until 1030 and start banging away while I now have people in from out of town. Takes them nearly 3 hours to finish everything and then they take off without cleaning up any of their mess. This company does nothing to fix the issue whatsoever. No help, no support, no understanding, no empathy, no anything. But the second they left you best believe they were blowing me up through email, texts, and calls to get the 2nd half of their money. Do yourself a favor and go with anyone else but these guys. They're an absolute joke. And they'll rake you over the coals to make sure they take you for as much money as they can and they'll do things on their schedule. Run away! These guys will give you nothing but headache. read more

I love my new awning/pergola. They did a great job! Scott the owner sealed the deal for me on choosing them. He was informative and gave me options other companies did not. He provided me suggestions and also examples to look at. The install crew arrived on time. Only gave 4 stars because clean up could have been better. There were washes, screws, bolts and metal shavings left behind on the ground. Everyone in my neighborhood who drives or walks by can't help but look and keep looking.
