Big BLT on sunflower seed bagel (turkey bacon)
    Lindsay M.

I got the peanut butter delight smoothie- delicious! And the "Big BLT" with turkey bacon on a sunflower seed bagel- both were so delicious! The woman was handling a line out the door all by herself, working amazingly fast, she does not mess around. I love the textiles, comfy booths & generally set up inside. There's plenty of parking and possibly even outdoor seating on warmer days if i'm not mistaken. This is a long way from home but I'd definitely return!

If I could give Mike ten stars I would. He busted his butt through a rush by himself, nailing everyone's order and got us all taken care of quickly. One you should work here, two, you should come here and show Mike and Cool Beans some love.

This counter's the only barrier between you and deliciousness

Swung through after hitting up ADK Balloon Fest (which I *highly* recommend attending, btw). I envisioned it being an easy breezy stop for a quick iced coffee before I got back to my busy Sunday, but apparently so did everyone else in town because the line was out. the. door. when I pulled up. But desperately needing a caffeine fix, wanting to support local business, and having some (*tons) of hot air balloon photos to sift through, I figured I'd wait it out (arrived "early," around 9am!) Having worked in food service and seen the insides of kitchens of all sizes, I realize this kitchen isn't the easiest set up to crank out orders of breakfast sammies, toasted bagels, BLTs, or smoothies -- it's a pretty small workspace at the far end of the order counter. Additionally, this is an exposed/open kitchen, so the breakfast rush crew can't even roll their eyes or complain about customers or the high frequency of order tickets flying in without being seen or heard, so it's insanely impressive to watch them work so well together in sync. Even if they're screaming on the inside, they move quickly and efficiently, with a smile on their face, working as a team and keeping a positive vibe making conversation with regulars while keeping the line moving. I actually complimented a counter girl on everyone's teamwork and cheerful disposition despite the fast-paced shift, and she smiled and enthusiastically replied saying how much she loved working there. Cool! Always a plus when the staff is pumped to work there -- good juju. I waited 14 minutes from start to finish for a large and in charge iced coffee (sugar cookie FTW), which is pretty significant, and I found myself wishing they had an express line for "just coffee," but since I was able to get some work done on my phone it wasn't a total loss; plus if I was waiting in line with a friend the time would have passed quickly, so it wasn't too bad. I kept busy reading the descriptions of the coffee brews found in the carafes (fun!), and even though I was in the mood for iced coffee, I definitely purchased a small apple cider donut coffee to try as well. (spoiler alert: it was bomb! ‼) not too donutty sweet, and it absolutely had a hint of cider flavor to it. This time I asked for coconut milk, which they had in the fridge behind the counter, so my intestines and I appreciated the assistance to reduce my dairy consumption. I'm sure ADK Balloon Fest contributed to the influx of Sunday morning customers, but I think it would be awesome if they could implement some sort of express line so coffee buyers don't have to wait behind the peeps placing food orders, etc. I remember in grade school the milk buyers got in the cafeteria line *before* the kids who were buying a full lunch, so maybe that's a model to adopt ;) let's keep it moving, people! Then again, patience is a virtue, so I guess I can incorporate a little of that into a Sunday morning visit to Cool Beans :) 4-stars today

Such a great atmosphere and the food and coffee is excellent at a super price a MUST in Queensbury, NY. Great fast service on top of all that yum!

Badass little breakfast place in Queensbury! Having driven past Cool Beans a few times during my stay in the area, when James F and I were in need of a quick bite and some caffeine, we knew we had to stop here. Huge menu! Tons of delicious coffee choices, awesome bagel selection, and plenty of other breakfast bites. James decided on a "everything on it, please!" bagel and I went with their Mexican burrito since I was craving something spicy. Seriously, you're away from Denver for a few days and the spice cravings kick in. The bagel and the burrito hit the spot! As did the latte and chai tea. Nicely done! Cool Beans is a neat little place to stop by if you're in the area. I always love supporting cool, local businesses when possible. Pro tip: Cash only! ATM in store if needed.

To be honest I have never been tempted to try their sweets as it appears ordinary and not very moist looking. Boy was I so so wrong. The cookies, the cinnamon bun etc were all so so yummy. I will always get their sweets whenever I stop in. All their personal faves on recommendation were spot on! You really can't go wrong with whatever you get here!

Really good! Stopped in yesterday at an odd time - around 4pm - to order early dinner take-out…read more We were hoping to try the masala fries - but they didn't have any fries. So, we ordered the Channa Papree as the appetizer. Dinner choices were the chicken tikka masala bowl and the chicken bowl...both are served with salads. We were told that it takes about 25 minutes to prepare the tikka masala (in case we didn't have the time to wait). We did! It was Saturday and we grabbed a strawberry lassi to enjoy while we waited. There is a nice seating area near the entrance so we hung out in the big armchairs. The lassi was good; it could have been blended more as most lassi concoctions that I've had are very creamy with just the right amount of yogurt tang....this one was "ice-chunky". But it was still tasty. As promised, the meals were ready to go in about 25 minutes. They traveled well and were still hot when we got home. I really enjoyed the channa appetizer; lots of different flavor layers throughout with just a subtle hint of spice. I tasted the chicken tikka masala; well spiced cubed chicken over basmati rice (same rice that I had with my chicken bowl). Some of the chicken pieces were really big and the portion was definitely generous. My sliced chicken was also really good - different flavor profile from the tikka. Since the salad is served in the same container, it gets pretty warm....but it saves having a separate to-go box for a small salad. They also have an entire rolled ice cream selection - plus chai-inspired hot drinks and other desserts available. I wanted to try the naan and asked if we could order a side of it. Unfortunately, they still considered it "lunch" time and couldn't sell me a piece or two of naan. I found that a little weird, but I chalk it up to being a fairly new business. Plus, the girls that were working in the front - I'm guessing - are not related to the owners. Friendly and competent enough, but always embrace an opportunity to upsell! I'll be sure to check this place out again soon.

Very spacious inside and, while they do rely a tad too much on the flavored/infused oils for my taste, they do have an excellent selection of quality olive oils. We bought an excellent Chilean Favasola olive oil and a nice, spicy Sicilian Ogliarola, as well as a pomegranate balsamic vinegar. They are quite generous with the free sampling, so you can sample to your hearts content to find the right oil/vinegar pair for you (the bread for dipping was noticeably stale, though) They also recycle bottles and have a discount plan for every 10 bottles you return. There's a small ice cream shop up front which is a bit random but, hey--it's ice cream. It's a nice place, though do think i prefer the service and atmosphere--not to mention the ancillary products such as pastas with recipe pairings/recommendations--at the Saratoga olive oil shop. I asked--they are not associated, but they have the same supplier, so product is substantively the same, if not the shipping experience. But if you have an idea what you want, the quality is there.

We chose Morgan & Company to celebrate our wedding anniversary after I specifically requested a…read moregift certificate to dine there because I had been looking forward to the experience. Sadly, it ended up ruining what should have been a special evening. I began with the French onion soup. The menu described it as being served with a crouton, but what arrived was two large pieces of bread with only the thinnest drizzle of melted cheese. Anyone who enjoys classic French onion soup knows the hallmark of the dish is a generous blanket of bubbling cheese, with the bread hidden underneath. I politely mentioned this to our server, who took it back to the kitchen. What came back was astonishing. Instead of remaking the soup properly, the kitchen simply added two more pieces of bread--for a total of four slices--and again barely covered them with cheese. At that point I declined the manager's offer to make it a third time. After seeing what the kitchen considered an acceptable correction, I had completely lost confidence. For my entrée, I ordered the coconut shrimp and added the glazed spare ribs. Unfortunately, both were overwhelmed by an extremely sweet, thick, sticky glaze. The coconut shrimp themselves may have been very good had the sauce been served on the side so diners could decide how much to use. Instead, every bite was drenched in sweetness. The ribs had virtually the same heavy glaze, and even the green beans and carrots were swimming in a sweet sauce. The entire plate tasted like dessert rather than dinner. I barely touched it and simply had it boxed to take home so we could wash off the sauces ourselves. My husband ordered the bouillabaisse, which had the opposite problem--it was surprisingly bland and lacked the rich seafood flavor one expects from that classic dish. Rather than complain yet again, he also boxed it up so we could season it ourselves at home. By 8:30 on a Sunday evening we were still hungry and began searching for another restaurant, only to discover that most nearby kitchens were closing at 9:00. We ended up grabbing Chinese takeout just so we could have something to eat on our wedding anniversary. The evening became even more disappointing considering the cost. We ordered a $150 bottle of Cabernet, bringing our bill to approximately $300 before tip. Spending that amount for a celebratory dinner and then leaving hungry to find another meal elsewhere is not an experience I ever expected. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I generally give restaurants every opportunity to make things right. In this case, however, the problems extended well beyond a single dish. Between the mishandled soup, the excessively sweet entrées, the bland bouillabaisse, and ultimately having to find another dinner after spending hundreds of dollars, this was an anniversary dinner we will remember for all the wrong reasons. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because it has the potential to be much better than what we experienced.
