I went here yesterday and got a Carmel coffee for $8. $8 is only a dollar less than I make an hour. I could've gotten the exact same thing at Starbucks for cheaper and Starbucks is known for their expensive coffee. The coffee tasted like perfume and I was really upset that I wasted my time and money going here. read more

My favorite coffee spot on the shore! Inexpensive and always worth the trip. They've got a wide variety of brews.

Well, I know I am biased because I have worked at this coffee shop for the last two summers, but it is my favorite coffee and I drink it throughout the year. While some of the reviewers are saying we make our espresso pre-made, I can safely say that it is not true and I have never seen anyone pre-make our espresso for our hot drinks. The only "pre-made" concoction is our iced cappacino, which is made in house almost every day of the summer. I know the prices are a bit high, but if you are in Beach Haven in the summer, everything is expensive. We are not a chain that stays open all year round. We are located in the heart of Beach Haven's Bay Village, a pricey rent for a shop that can only stay open 3-5 months of the year. We are owned by a local couple and are basically a mom & pop business (which is great to work for!!) We also buy fresh roasted coffee from a shop a half hour away, so we are not buying mass-produced coffee beans. We are doing away with our 8 oz cups this year and upgrading to 20oz cups. We can make almost anything you want with the ingredients we have! But, we are not one of the chains, so we don't always know the ingredients in a specially named beverage from another place. If you can describe it, we can make it! And I love a challenge to make a drink perfectly. Thanks for the comment about the wonderful aroma...it does smell great in there (though I can't smell it anymore!). We all wish we were bigger and could expand, but space is so limited in Bay Village. While they may have updated the look of the space, the coffee quality and barista skills have dropped off. I ordered an iced mocha latte and it was a total fail. I don't get how you offer a drink on your menu, but the two people behind the counter have no idea how to make it. They made two attempts, the first was a total fail and the second, was a tiny bit better. It was really disappointing because there really isn't one place on the entire island that I know of who can make quality ice coffees. I'll save my $5 a drink for a place that knows how to make it. read more

3 1/2 stars really because it gets packed, it's expensive, and it usually takes a while to get your drinks. On the plus side, everything comes out great and pretty consistent. They also have a wide selection of coffees and tea. I did have an iced tea once that was under brewed and watery, but today I had the mint green tea and it was perfect. Had a ball in this cute little coffee shop! The girls working there were so sweet and very patient with the silliness of both of us! Only problem.....my girlfriend didn't get enough coffee! Awesome coffee. Came here to grab just a hot black coffee and damn. Really strong and fragrant coffee. Really fresh doesn't need any sugar or cream at all. Cute place. Coffee themed signs everywhere, handwritten menu on chalkboards. Love the cozy feel. No indoor seating, but ample seating outside, and next to my favorite bakery, Crust and Crumb. Pretty good coffee. Had a cappuccino here it was good, not the best. Large selection though, so maybe I will have to come back and try something else. read more

I will have to admit that I am both a coffee and food snob. My husband is originally from New Jersey and we wanted to take a little vacation here to experience the beautiful New Jersey shore. I yelped to find a good coffee place in beach haven and this led me to the cool beans cafe. What an anti-climax. I got a latte, it was very mediocre. It took less than 40 secs to make it, even starbucks takes longer to make a cup. How did the other yelpers rate this place high? I only give it a one star because I know what an excellent cup of latte taste like and yes, it takes longer than 40 secs to make a cup with love and full attention. I will keep looking for a good coffee place in town and yelp when I find one. read more

A friendly little shop which offers bold and flavorful coffees. The selection is not extensive but each flavor they have is solid. They mix for a great scent in the shop and the nook in which the store is located is an intimate place great for relaxing and taking it slow. read more

Best coffee in Beach Haven hands down. And the place smells so unbelievably good that even if you don't drink the coffee you get happy just from being inside. It was a nice little spot and looked like a great selection of beans but it was the looks from behind the cellphones when i walked Iin and price that get it a 3 star rating. $9 for two iced coffees, even at tourist prices that's a bit much, especially for average coffee. read more

Really adorable coffee place, perfect for a quick stop, and conveniently next to the Crust and Crumb bakery. Seriously that small and unassuming alleyway is a goldmine for great little food stops. From the coffee signs and decorations to the sweet waft of coffee when you walk into the cafe, it was a really nice place. Ordered lattes with my cousin, his hot and mine cold, and we both thought it was really lovely. I highly recommend their Salted Caramel Iced Latte, so good! Disappointment struck however, when the blaring sun melted the ice on the way home and turned my latte watery. Worth the stop in. read more

Amazing coffee! No need to get the fancy lattes, the simple coffee brews are strong enough for me which is great as a strong coffee drinker. You pay and then they give you a cup so you can fill it yourself. I really like that aspect which is foreign to me as a New Yorker who just is handed the coffee when i go buy it.
