It's impossible to walk away from after a long day of being on the water!

Good ice cream, efficient service, timely location, but service is meh: The have so many flavors it's ridiculously frustrating! In a good way, that is...you want everything! The flavors change a lot, so each season at least, you can try something new: cookies n cream, pecan praline, superman, muddy shoes, coffee, peanut butter and pretzel, brownie batter, orange sherbet, etc.; waffle cone , regular cone, or bowls. Long lines in season, but the wait isn't bad at all. They crankem' out! Conveniently located feet from the canoe/kayak/tubing center. Expected, but kind of annoying: expect high school or college freshman to give their version of customer service...none at all.

Had a fantastic burger there on a sleepy Monday afternoon. Seems like it was made from scratch and to order. Highly recommend

Haven't been here since my 3 kids were little. Stopped at the beginning of June 2026, for lunch…read more Restaurant is a large nicely decorated barn. It was freezing cold in there. Servers in long pants and hoodies. Patrons who had sweaters had them on. Salad bar pretty typical. Hot food bar not open. Hot food bar open only on the weekends. My adult children recently ate at the hot food bar and said it was delicious. Our server was young and inexperienced and could use more trading. I ordered a cheesesteak and fries which was large and delicious. I didn't get my mayo and had to track down our server because she never checked on us after delivering our food. I asked for mayo and she brought me 1 packet for this humongous sandwich. Had to track her down for drink refills also. She was very nice and we still tipped her well, but like I said she could definitely use more training. It wasn't busy at all. Us and 2 other tables were filled. Other people started coming in while we were leaving. Hubby had country fried steak. All food was delicious. Had to ask for check to pay. We then sat on rocking chairs on porch laughing about restaurant Patrons coming out of restaurant to their cars to fetch sweaters and jackets. Then we walked around the corner and had soft serve ice cream with chocolate sprinkles which was delicious! Would go again and would recommend. Bring a sweater and check after server brings food thay you have everything you need before she walks away!

It doesn't matter if it's the middle of summer and you can spend time on the river, enjoying a nice fall hike, or watching the snow fall, the views can't be beat. The rooms and lodge itself have been designed for the most comfort. Every little detail from the cookies in your room when you check in, to the amenities in the common areas insure that the tranquil feeling stays. If you're lucky enough to do the taste of the wilds dinner, I highly recommend doing the wine pairing with it. Everything was paired out so perfectly and it was one of the most enjoyable meals we've ever had. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate when sharing the information about the wine. All the staff went out of their way to ensure you had the best service.

The daily breakfast baskets were a great start to the day, especially before heading out hiking (we went looking for river otters). Coming back, jumping into the hot tub by the fireplace felt like flipping the off switch on real life. Dinner Saturday night was excellent, and the wine pairing was clearly chosen with care, not just checked off a list. And the chocolate mousse with espresso salt? That's the kind of thing you remember long after checkout.

On a Saturday, around 8pm or so, the family and I were walking downtown Jamestown and came here for a cold and creamy treat! From what I could tell, they only served hard ice cream, which was locally made by Addie's Ice Cream, along with sundaes, floats, etc., so no custards here, but no complaints here! After perusing their flavors, we were able to go right up to the window and place our order. There appeared to be about two or three people working, but they were courteous and quick, including the woman who took our order. There were a couple of benches near this shop but more than likely, expect to stand or walk somewhere else to sit. We all ordered medium-sized ice cream cones and upgraded to the waffle cone for an additional 75 cents. I went with their New York Cheese Cake and Mint Oreo Fudge flavors. The NY Cheese Cake flavor was on top and was very creamy! I loved how the cherries were swirled in. The Mint Oreo Fudge was an excellent closer for my ice cream cone as it was fudgy with plenty of Oreo cookie pieces and the right amount of mint flavor. The medium-size was the perfect portion too, it left me plenty satisfied. I will admit the prices might seem a tad on the high side, but the ice cream was very good and I like to support local places when I can. Overall, The Sprinkle Cone scooped out a great experience with friendly customer service and quality hard ice cream. When I come back to Jamestown, I wouldn't have any problems coming back and trying a couple different flavors!
