After a very thorough inspection of our basement and a very detailed explanation of options, we decided to schedule them to redo the insulation in our basement with the basement to beautiful system. We also had a dehumidifier and a new sump pump with drainage added. One thing I loved about them is they showed up when they said they would, on time, and put in full days to make sure the job was getting done in a timely manner. Anne kept me up-to-date by text every single day to let me know what they'd completed and what was next in the queue. All interactions I had with every member of the family who worked at my home was genuine and pleasant. Additionally, even though they ran into an unexpectedly thick basement floor and had to use a special tool for the trench in the basement, they still somehow managed to finish on time.. Another thing I found very impressive is they actually left any space they used cleaner than they found it. My basement floor and the basement windows were immaculate when the job was finished. They used our garage to cut the insulation boards on a day when it was quite rainy and swept out our entire garage; not just any insulation bits that happened to fall on the floor...the entire floor! There's always a certain level of mess when you're having any type of renovation done, especially if you have cement jackhammered, but the amount of cleaning I had to do afterwards was minimal in part due to the fact that they took precautions to try to keep the rest of my house as clean as possible, and contain the mess to only the basement (which they then cleaned as soon as the job was done). I can't recommend this company highly enough! I know we will be enjoying the work they did for many many years to come and I appreciate the quality job they did.

11/3/2019 For unknown reason, at 11:30 PM the pilot light…read moreon my furnace had distinguished. I lit the pilot light and the furnace was operating normal. I assumed that the thermostat was defective and I called OCF on 11/4/2019 at 8:30 AM to schedule an appointment to come to my home to check-out the thermostat and investigate why the pilot light had distinguished. On 11/4/2019 at 9:00 AM, I received a call from the owner informing me that the technician will be at my home between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The technician arrived at 3:40 PM and we went down the cellar to look at the furnace. As we were discussing the issue, the pilot light had distinguished again. The technician had found a small hole / crack in the combustion chamber directly adjacent to the pilot light which allowed air to enter and distinguish the pilot light. Now I have an unsafe condition and the technician would not light the pilot light and he advised me not to light the pilot light again and I complied with his advice. The furnace was installed in "1979" and a few upgrades were completed several years prior to me purchasing the house in Jan. 2019. This was a "no brainer" and I ordered a new furnace. On 11/11/2019 (Veterans Day), two technicians arrived and removed the old furnace and started the installation of the new furnace. 11/13/2019 at 1:00 PM, the installation was complete. The installation and workmanship was professional and neat.
