Brought my son here a few days ago and they really botched his bangs. I asked to keep it as long as possible while just trimming the excess. It's not noticeable when combed to the side but it'll fall straight to the center with him just moving around a bit. We usually come here but I'm starting to second guess we may have to find another place to go to. Brought my two daughters in and the little one got her hair cut by Tamara. It turns out great and we were happy. Tamara is very patient and takes her time. Lidia on the other hand! She didn't even put a towel to protect my daughter's head or clothes when she washed her hair. The water got everywhere. Then she started cutting and I told her a simple bob. She then asked if I wanted an a line. Ok fine sure. They're literally almost the same style. She didn't do a good job. I could've cut the hair myself. I asked her to match Tamara's cut like my other daughter. She got mad and frustrated and she poked my daughter with her sharp scissors. Now my daughter is crying. The manager saw what happened and told us we could wait for Tamara to finish the cut. Lidia looked soooo annoyed but kept trying to cut and I'm like lady... we would like to wait for Tamara. First off they have one good stylist Helen. We always make an appointment cause they act so busy when they aren't. We frequently go here due to the ONLY place for kids. Yesterday I had an appointment and they denied me service, said they didn't see my reservation, I tried showing them my email confirmation and was completely dismissed, the lady at the desk wouldn't even look at it. Just kept saying come back at 3:00. I have a child who is disabled and it's not easy getting her out and they expect me to go home and bring them back just to get my other child's hair cut. No thank you. We will NEVER be back again. Worst place I have ever been to and sad I stayed so long and gave them any of my business. Don't walk, RUN away from this place. read more

Parking is full and hard to find a spot because of the location. If you are late by even 5-10 mins they won't honor your appointment slot. They gave my spot to someone else when I was in the salon after 5 mins and waiting in line for another 5 mins to check in. Other cc locations are better than this Fullerton one in terms of staff and cleanliness. read more

Space is clean and has cute seats that look like cars. Barbie was great with our son and really efficient with the hair cut. Not a single tear has been shed. I've come here several times but this last time was the last straw. My son has very thing hair and an odd cowlick. I specifically told Tamara to not shave the sides of his head, I do not like the military cut whatsoever. Took my 13 month old for his 1st haircut and had a bad experience. The stylist (Miss Cole) who cut his hair was not warm or welcoming. She used clippers and was very rough with his head that he had scratch marks. She wasn't gentle and was going so fast. As a first time mom I expected a better level of service but this felt like they didn't really care about my son and just in it for the money. My crazy baby came here for his haircut before daycare and they did an AMAZING job. Even though he was a wiggle worm the entire time his cut is clean and the edges are sharp and we even got to unwind after his haircut on the small play gym they have in the waiting area as well. We made an appointment with Barbie specifically because all the reviews mentioned her by name and how good she was. We had an appointment for 4:45 to cut our toddlers hair. We hadn't cut his hair in over a year and half so it was a big deal to us. We were really excited and had left work early for this appointment. My son had gorgeous long hair but we were ready for the "big boy haircut". There was a client before us that Barbie took a really long time with. She didn't see us until about 25-30 mins PAST our appointment time. Which would have been ok with us because we understand. BUT she ended up rushing us so much! She rushed to probably make up the lost time and had other clients there after us already. My son was legit in the chair for 5 minutes and she butchered the top center part (most important part in my opinion). Towards the end of the haircut, she mentioned how she changed her mind and cut it the same length all around and rushed us off the chair. My husband and I were both in shock. She was either rushing us because she was really behind schedule and her next client was there or she realized she had messed his hair up and didn't want us to process it yet. We paid $38 for a messed up haircut, an experience/excitement ruined, and literally 5-8 minutes of her time. What was also upsetting is that I reached out through email to discuss this with a manager prior to writing a review. They responded with "Barbie is the manager". No greetings, apologies, trying to talk to me about what happened. What exactly am I supposed to do with that line? Be intimidated so I don't complain? This isn't a "I regret cutting his hair" rant. Where do I begin... first off upon entering your child will be greeted by a big playground! It's such an inviting space for children. Then they will see kids getting haircuts and not only are they getting their hair cut, they are flying an airplane or driving a car all while watching their favorite movie/show! This place knows how to entertain children! Our favorite stylist (and the only person allowed to touch my sons hair by the way) is Samantha. My son adores her! She has such a positive attitude and such good vibes coming from her and I believe this is vital when dealing with kids because they can feel it. Samantha has always done a phenomenal job with my sons hair, no complaints! And if there ever was a complaint she offers me to come in within a week to fix anything that may have been missed- for free! We have come here so much that Samantha already knows how we want my sons hair. And that's what I like, I don't have to remember some hair cut name or scroll through my 12,000 pictures to find a picture of his first hair cut and hope she replicates it. Had a wonderful experience with Barbie on our first visit here but did not have the same experience this time around. I booked online and was matched with another stylist. This review compares both visits. First visit. Barbie was welcoming from the start. Asked a lot of questions to get to know what we'd like. This helped ME understand and created that confidence in her skills. Last visit. I was semi-greeted and when I said my name for the appointment she said in a low energy style, "I'll be your stylist." Yes, she asked questions but just based on how they were asked I wasn't sure if she was confused or just didn't know what to do. First visit. As the parent observing, Barbie was engaged with us AND my son. Understands kids and their mannerisms. Last visit. Lack of patience. My little one sat still very well but any slight head turn he got a stern "sit still" or "hold still". I understand that you want to cut straight, but you are in a children's salon where toddlers are toddlers. The stylist did not even TRY to communicate with my son. First visit. Our son had a nice, shorter style that was just that. A style. We were very happy (hence the want to return for a follow up visit.) Last visit. We paid $24.95 for a trim that barely looks like a haircut. I initially asked for length off due to the heat of summer but because of how inexperienced the stylist seemed, at the end when she said she was done, I hesitated to even go shorter for fear of really screwing up his hair. Had an event and the one local was closed so drove 40 miles out to another cookie cutters just because my son is comfortable with the little cars and tv on during the cut. The staff were nice but they did a horrible job cutting his hair. It's months later now and the front of his hair is so uneven it looks like I cut his hair myself at home without even trying. I'm giving this an A-OK for older babies or young kids but for our 16 month old, the review should really read 2 stars....here's our story. Our baby came out of the womb with a full head of hair. We waited until he was 8 months old or so until we got his first haircut because the poor little shaggy guy could no longer see. After searching around on Yelp we went to a place (rhymes with Larkeys) in Tustin. We saw Miss Lily and she did a fantastic cut. Since then we've gone back to that same place and that same stylist. He's had 2 more haircuts with her since. We were scheduled with her a few weeks ago but received a call that she was very sick. Since we were going out of town, I looked up other local places that had great reviews. Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids came up and I made an appointment for that afternoon. The scheduling process is very easy by the way. I did it online in just a few minutes. We arrived at the shop and it's really cute. There is a play structure when you first come in the door and a bunch of different cars to sit in. When we popped the baby into the car he picked out he immediately started to freak out. This is by no fault of the stylist of course. He got scared for whatever reason and we had to hold his sweet face while the stylist did her best to cut his hair. We would have stopped the whole thing but he was only freaking out intermittently (although more on than off) and so it seemed like we could get through it. The stylist was very young and I say this not to be age-ist but only to point out that there is no way she could have many years experience but probably only a few. She was visibly rattled and it was clear she wanted the haircut complete already. We had to ask for her to try to even out places and she would kind of try but then stop. I totally understand that this was a very trying situation and I gave her a nice tip but in the end, my sweet baby's hair is completely uneven...everywhere. The front of his hair is all different lengths and my husband had to use our razor to even out a very wavy fade. I did provide feedback via automated message and the owner told me I could come back in for a free haircut. I do appreciate that they got back to me and when our baby grows into a little "bigger" boy, maybe we'll consider coming back if we are stuck for a haircut. read more

My son is 3.5years old and he always throws tantrums during his haircut sessions, but let me tell you this time around It was the complete opposite. This place is indeed children friendly but I would not recommend. Took my 14 month old for a haircut, it came out very- choppy, bowl cut? Lol. Uneven strands, it was supposed to be a fade. My child didn't move enough to justify the end result. First and last time I come here. Staff was friendly but seemed to be in a hurry even though there was no one waiting.
