We've taken Chef Traci's team building cooking class three times now! Can you tell, we enjoy her classes? If you're looking for something different to do with your team whether for team building or a staff outing - you'll enjoy Chef Traci. It's a fun experience for both expert cooks and those who don't cook much. She always starts her class with making a blend of spices based on the menu we're cooking. It's our parting gift along with satisfied bellies! This time was a delicious taco bar with homemade tortillas that we prepared the dough for, pressed on a tortilla press and cooked on a comal. We marinated chicken thighs and tofu (for the vegetarians) which were grilled, sliced and delicious! The verde sauce we made was excellent. A fantastic time was had by all and I can't wait to do another class with her. She engages everyone, makes everyone comfortable and she's just a lot of fun. Her assistants are also wonderful and full of knowledge and experience as well. If you haven't, you need to do this!!! You won't regret. read more

What a creative team building exercise! She can accommodate up to 10 people. We made 4 dishes with 6 people and tag teamed the dishes. Traci gets all the stations prepared ahead of time and some items are even sourced from her own personal garden. She also gave a lovely appetizer before we started cooking (don't cook hungry!). She did a great job helping us all get cook the dishes, I was impressed how attentive she was with all of us and also gave great tips! The food we made (Moroccan) was phenomenal! I will definitely attempt to make these dishes on my own in the future. read more

I had such a fantastic time at chef Traci's Sauces and Condiments class! It was a lot of fun cooking alongside the group and learning how to make a variety of sauces, most I never would've thought to make before. Every single one turned out delicious -- and we even got to take home small jars of each sauce, which made it super easy to flavor-up meals all week long. I also loved that Traci emailed us the recipes afterwards so we can recreate them at home. Highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to elevate their meals with amazing homemade sauces! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I did a sushi cooking class with Chef Traci (and Chef Jack) as part of an offsite for my work in May 2025. Chef Traci is professional, organized, and so so warm and fun to be around. The class itself was a nice blend of learning how to make the actual sushi, some history / fun facts about the different components, and getting to relax, socialize and eat. And the sushi itself was delicious!! If you have a chance to do a class with Chef Traci, or just eat some of her food, or even just spend some time chatting with her -- do not pass it up! read more

Chef Traci and her sauce class were awesome! Traci is a gifted cook and a fun and gracious teacher. She brings a relaxed energy to class that was contagious. Traci taught our group how to make four extremely delicious sauces. The sauces were the quality of a fine-dining restaurant. Traci also gave us ideas of how to use to pair these sauces with our home cooking. To addition, each student was sent home with the sauces we prepared in class! I have been cooking up a storm with the sauces since! Highly recommend! read more

Very welcoming! Great experience! Instructions were clear and food came out very nice.

It was great for our team! She was great and very much willing to work at our speed. The food was fabulous to boot!

We did a wonderful team sushi making class Chef Traci! Chef Traci is fun, personable and provided excellent instruction. The ingredients were fresh and amazing quality. The CA Rolls were made with real Dungeness crab vs. the imitation crab. We made so much sushi and were full by the end of our class! I highly recommend her class to any teams looking to do a team building event. read more

A friend persuaded me to join her at Chef Traci's Sauces and Condiments class this week. I was reluctant. It was a beautiful day outside. But the class was TERRIFIC. We made 2 sauces, a dressing, and a wonderful dukkah seed and spice mix, and went home with 4 jars and the recipes. Trace was so organized--everything was prepped and at our fingertips. She's a gifted teacher and has an infectious sense of humor that won me over. Not only did we have fun, but my spouse and I have tested the sauces at multiple meals and they work magic on my mundane chicken breasts and avocado toasts. I recommend this experience! read more

The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed, it was great to learn tips for cooking more elaborate meals (ours was an apricot, ras al hanout Moroccan tagine). Traci is very attentive and helpful. If you're already an advanced cook you may not learn anything really new, but it will still be relaxing and fun. read more

Chef Traci was awesome! We hired her for a private in-person cooking class for our executive team.We learned how to cook chicken tagine braised with tomatoes & onions and topped with an apricot glaze, (vegetarian option too). And, we got to make our own spice blend to take home. She had amazing appetizers and dessert prepared for us and filled the space with her warmth and love for what she does. The food we cooked was delicious, but the best part was working with Chef Traci. She's fun, professional, was flexible and dependable. We all had an amazing time and are still talking about our evening with together with her! I highly recommend Chef Traci! read more

Thank you Chef Traci and team for another memorable experience! When brining together our group of physician and practice management leaders, we want a fun and entertaining activity and that is exactly what we found with this cooking experience. This was our second time having Chef Traci work with our group and both have exceeded expectations. For this most recent event, we went with the taco meal with home-made tortillas and it was the perfect choice. I love all the details that Chef Traci and her team put together- from the beautiful table settings in the dining area to having a signature spice blend you get to make and take home. Such a fun way to connect with your colleagues and spend an evening. Everyone gets to be involved in the process and regardless of skill-level there is something each person can contribute. I have a feeling this will be something we continue in the future! read more

We booked Chef Traci to cook for a birthday party and our guests were very happy with the food. For first time booking with Chef Tracy, we highly recommend going with her specialty Moroccan dish. Chef Traci was easy to work with. She responded to our initial request within 24 hours, and our follow up conversation were to the point and efficient. She provided us a few menu options to choose from and was up front with pricing. It was great to have an experienced professional like Chef Traci for our event. After finalizing the menu, we did not have to worry about buying ingredients, food preparation, presentation, or cleanup, it was all taken care for. We enjoying a cooking class and private dinner with Chef Traci for a friend's birthday, and everything was impeccable. Chef Traci was so welcoming, and her home was beautiful. The food was incredible, and we were all so excited to have contributed to such a delicious meal. Everyone who was lucky enough to attend was commenting for days afterward about how special the meal was. The recipes were also easy to follow, and Chef Traci was fantastic with providing guidance and fun conversation as well. She has really created such a special experience that we will not soon forget. Will definitely be joining her for another one as soon as we can! read more

Chef Traci and her assistant, Nick, created a beautiful dinner for our company senior leadership team. The Moroccan-inspired cuisine hit the spot and the team devoured everything. She helped us pull it all together in just a few days and it went flawlessly from her arriving early at the venue to the appetizers, entrees, and desserts, to the cleanup. She made sure that our vegan and vegetarian colleagues were taken care of too. It was just wonderful. Our bellies and our hearts were so very full at the end of the night. Chef Traci was so great to work with! Our team has been looking into some virtual engagement activities for staff, and a cooking class was our first try. Chef Traci was quick to respond, flexible, and just a joy to work with! I highly recommend reaching out to her for your next team building event. Her class is suited for all cooking levels and can easily be modified for all dietary needs. She even makes suggestions for diet substitutions when she sends out her ingredient list. During the class, she takes the time to check in with her participants, ensuring everyone's on the same page of their meals. Tech-wise, it's super helpful to know that she's got a tech person on standby to troubleshoot camera angles, the Zoom chat, or general tech questions. Super fun, and again, so great to work with! read more

I organized a team-building event for my executive team and what better way to bond than to do a cooking class!? Traci was exceptional and the class was so fun. She was so gracious to let us cook in her gorgeous home. When we arrived, we already had appetizers awaiting in her backyard where we got to briefly hang out and learn about the dishes we were going to prepare. I chose the small plates option. We paired up into teams of two and each of us had something different to prepare. Traci was also great at educating us on how to properly cook the meals, and I certainly learned a few things about the science behind a great meal! The ingredients were fresh and the food was great. I look forward to booking more cooking classes with Traci in the future! read more

Chef Traci hosted an amazing Moroccan dinner experience for a group of folks on our leadership team. They absolutely loved it! It was fun, engaging, interesting and beyond delicious. The team had the opportunity to learn and connect with each other through cooking together - followed by time to enjoy the food and company around the dinner table . Chef Traci created a warm and welcoming environment for the group which set the stage for a really meaningful evening. The experience was perfectly executed with so many thoughtful details. The team ended the evening asking for recipes so they could continue practicing what they learned and recreate the meal for friends and family. Looking forward to more opportunities to work with Chef Traci and her team. Highly recommend! Thank you! read more

My mother-in-law was coming in from New York and wanted to stay at an Air BnB in the Elmwood/Rockridge area. We decided to put her at Traci's house, which looked lovely, on a beautiful street, and the idea that her host was going to be a personal chef also sounded great. It turned out to be a wonderful experience, both staying at her home and hiring her to cook us a meal. Traci is a wonderful host, making us feel completely welcome. Their dining room is lovely, real Berkeley arts and crafts style with lots of wood. We had the Moroccan tagine with chicken and apricots and couscous, which was absolutely delicious. She started us off with a very yummy shredded carrot salad with raisins and a very light vinaigrette. If we were to do anything differently, we would have requested a chocolate dessert. There's absolutely no doubt that we'd hire Traci to do another special dinner in the future...no noise or lack of privacy, as one frequently gets in a regular restaurant. How classy and intimate to have our own private dining room! read more

Saying Traci is phenomenal is an understatement! She is intentional, thoughtful, kind, and professional in every way. She is truly a master at her craft and I am so happy my company booked her for our team engagement offsite last month (having not seen each other in over a year due to the pandemic!) -- a perfect activity for new team members and those who haven't been in each other's presence for such a long time. We made a dish that served everyone's dietary restrictions (3 groups total) and were even served appetizers before the cooking activity and dessert after our cute dinner set up. Traci was so thorough from the first outreach to the very end of our event. She checked in with me each week to ensure our menu was aligned, directions were clear, set up was smooth, and above else in compliance with covid safety protocol, which I appreciated greatly. Our small start up office is in SoMa, and it was so easy and convenient to get to the location venue in West Oakland. A short 15 minute drive/Uber/lyft over the bridge -- with plenty parking outside. She had a staff on hand that assisted with everything from beginning to end; it really was a delightful experience and I truly believe our team is closer and happier because we got to spend this special time together creating something to enjoy. During the last year and a half I have had the pleasure of having Traci as a private chef, delivering several meals for our family once a week. What a treat to have delicious home cooked, healthy meals delivered, that can be enjoyed throughout the week. My friend and I took a Nut Cheese class with Chef Traci and had a great time! The cheeses are vegan and paleo, so it's a great skill to learn for different lifestyles. Traci was warm, welcoming and encouraging. There is good value for the price of admission because you get a small group with hands-on practice and ability to ask a lot of questions. We learned tricks to making three different cheeses, and got to take them all home. Traci even went the extra step of making us appetizers with our finished products, which was a really nice touch! read more

This is my second time doing the private cooking class with Chef Traci. It's great for group evenings. Both were with work, but I could see how doing this with a group of friends would be fun as well. Traci is relaxed, helpful, and not too strict on the cooking procedures. She allows people to run on their own, but steps in to assist during specific steps. It was very well planned and really a lot of fun for everyone. read more

Cooking with Chef Traci was an awesome experience! She opened my eyes to various aspects of cooking that I would have never realized without her guidance. I am a professional "YouTube, follow the recipe" chef so this was definitely out of my element! Going into this class a little nervous (hoping whatever I ended up making was edible). But Chef Traci created such a fun and welcoming cooking environment, those nerves quickly dissipated. The night started off with appetizers on her beautiful back patio which we devoured in seconds. Once our whole team arrived we were off and running! Traci guided us through the whole process of creating our own Moroccan dish (super fancy stuff, I know right?). She was helping us through the whole recipe, while at the same time giving us creative freedom to make the dish our own! My co-workers and I had such an amazing experience and I only have positive things to say about Chef Traci. 5 stars all around! read more

To celebrate our dear friend's birthday, we booked a class together to learn how to cook a gluten & dairy free meal. The experience yesterday went way above and beyond our expectations!! Chef Traci is a wonderful instructor and full of quick & simple ideas and tricks on how to make healthy & tasty meals. Our menu included Turkey meatballs in tomato sauce with zucchini noodles, dairy free strawberry ice cream and gluten free waffle bowls with shredded coconut & dairy free chocolate. The whole experience was so FUN and the food & desserts were super DELICIOUS and pretty SIMPLE to make! Chef Traci has really turned me on to trying more gluten/dairy free options. With her homemade dairy free Parmesan cheese and all natural cashew cream, it was awesome to be able to taste and see how these delicious options are made. Also, the kitchen/class space is open & quite beautiful. We were lucky that it was a perfect afternoon to have our coffee/tea & dessert on the outside patio in the warm sunshine amid the greenery & trees. Our group is considering our next lessons to be either for our husbands and or our kids class on how to make sundaes and pizza. Either one, we can't wait for them to experience Chef Traci's cooking class, as she is a real treasure!!! Thank you so much Chef Traci!!! read more

Chef Traci opened up her home to us and made us feel very comfortable in the kitchen. We made some Asian tapas that consisted of salmon cakes, Thai chicken meatballs and sweet potato kimchi pancakes. She left out a recipe sheet that made it easy for us to follow and gave us the freedom to run with it but also followed up to gauge how we feel. When we were hesitant about flavor she asked us to try to and adjusted the taste to our liking so she didn't force us to stick to her exact recipe. Her yard was beautiful so when the food was sitting in the oven we got to drink our wine and enjoy the fresh air. When the food was ready she gave us cooking tips on how to make sure food was good to eat and other ingredients we can use to make something different. Would definitely come back! read more
