The Asian style menu was excellent!!!

Dear Emily, I want to say thank you for your professionalism, for being extremely helpful, and for trying to meet all our needs. I know it's not easy to manage a large group of 17 people. It was a lot of learning, great team building for our team and extremely nice experience. We all had so much fun! Sincerely, Lena

Awesome setting with a view that includes the Salesforce Tower. Fun, casual atmosphere that allows people to participate as much or as little as they want. Lots of cooking practice and information! Delicious, healthy food and best of all, we get the recipes!

I do not understand these negative reviews at all! I signed up for a cooking class here last minute on Thursday. I sent her a email through her website and she had some last minute cancellations so she was able to fit me and my boyfriends mom in. She sent a very detailed email, even letting me know there was a game going on in the neighborhood and warning parking and traffic might be problematic. So thoughtful! Class started at 6:30 and the other two people who were supposed to be in our class ended up canceling as well so it basically ended up being a private cooking lesson for us two! I felt really bad for Emily though and its a huge pet peeve of mine when people cancel last minute. She took it with grace though! Her apartment is gorgeous and I took so many photos of the view and dining area. My phone was dead on arrival and she got me a charger right away. Because its as just my boyfriends mom and I, the environment felt very casual. It was nice! Felt like we were just hanging out with Emily and were free to wander around and ask all the questions we wanted without worrying if we sounded stupid or not. She had all sorts of super cool gadgets but told us how to recreate everything at home with our own tools. We made an appetizer, side, salad, salmon, and chocolate macaroons. The lentil salad was the best thing I had had in my entire life and I made the recipe again last night! There was a ton of food and we were able to take some to go in recycled to go containers. I am all about being ecofriendly so I loved that! She also had some dessert leftover from her class the night before that we were welcome to try. She had half a beer leftover she used to make bread with that she gave me as well. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the small portions or starving to death. There was food available the entire class and the leftovers tasted great! The class was a great deal at $75/pp and I'm definitely looking forward to taking another one with Emily!

He's a great teacher, a fun person and was full of energy and kept the program moving. I've already been receiving multiple comments from the participants, all who enjoyed their time at the event VERY MUCH! Chef Carlos was AMAZING! It was 1AM in Madrid and you would never know it from his abundant energy, fun personality and professional teaching skills. His camera angles showed us each step and he kept the show at a high, entertaining level. We were all VERY impressed. Our Cooking Event was a complete success! Thank you, Debbie, Chef Carlos and everyone at Cozymeal!!! I'm so glad I found YOU, Chef Carlos and Cozymeal and we were able to share this experience with my colleagues. booked Cozymeal's "Chef Rick / Latin Cuisine Made Easy" experience as a birthday event for my wife…read more It was advertised as a hands-on cooking class where we would create a four-course Latin-inspired meal with instruction. That is not what happened. There was essentially no hands-on cooking. My wife and I repeatedly asked how we could help, and the only participation we were given was washing lettuce and chopping a small amount of pepper. There was no meaningful instruction, no real teaching, and very little engagement. The ingredients were also very disappointing for the price. Store-bought tortilla chips were used despite the menu advertising homemade chips. The carne asada was supposed to include chimichurri, but it was seasoned with store-bought seasoning from a jar and no actual chimichurri was prepared. I contacted Cozymeal immediately with detailed feedback. After delays, they refused to refund the booking and offered only a 15% gift card toward another Cozymeal experience, which is useless because I would never use them again. This was an awful experience and Cozymeal did not stand behind it. I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform.

7/27/25 Zach…read moresurprised me with a ramen cooking class at The Story of Ramen. I lovvvve ramen (and noodles in general) so I was ecstatic for this experience. The Story of Ramen is located in the Mission so parking was a little tricky. We got to the general area 20 minutes before so that we could get a decent parking spot. We did the 4 hour advanced workshop where we learned about how to prepare the broth, marinated eggs, chasiu pork, tare seasoning and how to make the ramen. For that day, there were 5 other pairs. Our teachers Manville and Jeff, guided us through every step of the arduous process of making the perfect bowl of ramen. The workshop started off with a lecture about the history of ramen and the creation of The Story of Ramen. Of all the tasks we did, my favorite was making the ramen itself. After learning in detail how much work goes into making ramen, I appreciate ramen more than I ever did before. This was a great team building activity and something new for us. I highly recommend this and of course you get to eat the bowl of ramen you make at the end of the workshop!

The 2-hour Ramen Party is a fun, social class where you'll make fresh noodles from scratch, assemble your own bowl, and enjoy a 3-course meal (gyoza, ramen, and mochi ice cream). The 4-hour Advanced Workshop takes it to the next level, you'll learn to craft broth, chashu pork, marinated eggs, tare seasoning and noodles, for a fully customized bowl of ramen perfection. Classes start at $70. Whether you're planning a cozy date night, friend hangout, or the perfect foodie gft, this ramen-making class is it.
