I added toast and a salad. Such an amazing, tasty meal! Chef Natasha was fantastic!

So we took the cooking class with Chef Natasha and it was a really different way to learn how to cook a meal. There are a few other people but it was nice the group was small. I like the way that she explained everything and was very patient with all of us. She really had her hands full because we were such a diverse group of people with different cooking experience. But she did a fantastic job and our meal turned out very good!

We just spent an afternoon with a fine Cozy Meal chef in Edmonton . We had the best time , we learned so many tricks of the trade in a relaxed fun atmosphere ! We ate our way through fine fresh gourmet favourites and made warm memories to carry with us always. Thankyou chef Charuta! we will refer and we will be back! Deb

We hired cozymeal to do a surprise 16th birthday for our grandson. He and his Gramps made the entire dinner with Chef Shushu. She was absolutely amazing and my grandson had a great time. We did the Italian pasta dinner. We will definitely use cozy meal again. Chef was patient and engaging and made our shy grandson feel comfortable.

The weekend brunch with Chef Mike was amazing!! The meal was as delicious as it looks on the menu! He was welcoming and personable. Everything was well organized, with the perfect amount of work for everyone to learn, prep and cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our Weekend Brunch experience with Chef Mike. He shared some great tips and tricks! This was our first time trying Cozymeal! He set the bar pretty high! Can't wait for our next experience!

While visiting my daughter in NYC we decided to take a cooking class - we chose a French meal by Chef Paul. From start to finish it exceeded our expectations. From the extremely professional and beautiful work kitchen, the friendly guests that joined us, and most especially our wonderful host Chef Paul. Three hours of hands-on cooking including easy directions for Cornish game hen, scalloped potatoes, wonderful salad and dressing and to top it off - a raspberry chocolate soufflé. His understanding of teaching made it possible for all of us to feel extremely comfortable and professional. We all agreed it was one of the best meals we've had in a long time and felt capable of re-creating it in our homes. Thanks for a wonderful, memorable experienceChef Paul!

They advertise chefs coming to your residence for in home cooking lessons but they always decline to come for whatever reason.

    Ask the Community - Cozymeal

Do you have to buy your own food for the lessons? Also, if you do in-home cooking, do they bring the pots/pans or do you have to have them already?

Thank you for your interest in Cozymeal! Traveling chefs can travel to your location with the necessary materials, ingredients, and supplies to conduct a private cooking class. We ask that clients provide the plates, utensils, and kitchen space.

    Is a tip expected afterwards?

I think whenever a service is provided, gratuity is a prevalent option. As the chef, I don't demand it, but the tone has been set where most people do (so I always appreciate it)! Hope that helps.

And it couldn't have been a better decision. We took the North Berkeley Tour and Justin was our guide (who I very highly recommend). Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the history of all the delicious food we enjoyed, but he was also so personable and easy to talk to. It really felt like we were getting an insider's view of the area. And of course, the selection of food we had was diverse and amazing too (all of it). The best advice I can give to someone who would like to book this tour is to bring your appetite because you will not be hungry when it's over. In fact, by the time we got to our last stop for cupcakes, we were all so full that we just took them to go. I'm still amazed that we were able to visit so many different places in such a short distance. Many of the foods I tried were new to me but I think it's safe to say I've now discovered some new favorites and will definitely be back. After waiting for two hours we decided that enough was enough and left. I don't know what exactly happened to Brian, and to give him the benefit of the doubt, for a while we thought, maybe he had some sort of emergency. And to be honest we would have been less irritated if he told us earlier on that he could not make the tour and needed to cancel, because shit happens in life. What we really didn't appreciate was the fact that he strung us along for two hours. Tour was suppose to start at 11:00. At 11:15 we were told, another 10 minutes. So we waited. Then we were asked to move to the next venue. So we waited for another 30 mins. Another call from Brian to the venue and asking us to wait another 10 mins. This kept going on until we waited for almost 2 hours. Throughout this whole time the main operator was apologetic and to be fair, offered us a refund and vouchers. They were also trying to get a hold of Brian, but couldn't. The problem was that Brian was clearly avoiding phone calls from his employer, because if he really had no signal he wouldn't have been able to call the venue and keep telling us to wait another ten minutes! I am all up for giving people a second chance. Maybe Brian has his reasons. Maybe his alarm didn't work and he forgot to wake up on time. But he needs a quick reality check in basic client management - don't over promise, and don't avoid confrontation because one cannot face delivering bad news. Because things surely will deteriorate quickly once people realise they are being lied to.

Then I went on the Mission food safari a few months later with a cousin. The difference between the North Beach and the Mission food safari is night and day. Chef Joseph did a great job on both but the Mission tour is more like an intro of the history, people, and the neighborhood with by the way this place has great tacos. So while your on the North beach tour, you will be snacking the whole time, picking up little things here and there at all the great places he recommends. On the Mission, you will come out with a great history, architecture, and art lesson and a little hungry. One thing to be aware of is that the Mission is a rough neighborhood.
