Driving Interstate 75 to Atlanta can be an adventure. Both the good and bad kind. Funny how every time I stop to fill up the gas tank, I can never get my receipt at the pump. I have to "see cashier" inside for my receipt. And with fast food restaurants, I am better going to the drive thru for my purchase. Not due to the pandemic, but due to all of the crazy/stupid stuff I have had to deal with. Such as being at a McDonald's in Cordelle, Georgia. I am at the counter giving the cashier my order, only for them to stop in the middle of me placing an order and proceed to assist another customer. And this happened on two separate visits. Or the time I was standing at the counter in a Zaxby's in Adel, Georgia looking at the menu. And I have a guy panhandling me for money while the employees ignored what was happening. Almost to a point where I do not feel like even stopping. But seeing this Cook Out location in Tifton, I decided to give it a try. Founded in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1989, there are several throughout the southeast. Pulling up to the drive thru, the gentleman working the window welcomed me and asked for my order. And believe me, there are many choices. I said hello and told him that being my first visit, I needed a moment. So let me break it down. You order your "tray", which includes your choice of a burger, hot dog, quesadilla (chicken or beef), chicken sandwich (regular, cajun, spicy, BBQ), chicken strips, or barbecue sandwich. And then you get your choice of two sides. I ordered the regular burger, which is two regular hamburger patties, with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I selected onion rings and hush puppies for my two sides. Other sides offered are French fries, cheese bites, chicken bites, corn dog, quesadilla, cole slaw, and chili. You get all that? Oh, and your order includes a large beverage. My food was served hot with just a few minutes wait. My burger had that "back yard cook out" taste that they advertise. It was really good. The onion rings were hot and crispy, and the hush puppies were tasty. They are, however, just deep fried cornbread bites. Unlike the seasoned hush puppies you would get at a seafood restaurant. I ordered a Coke for my beverage. And Cook Out also has many flavored milkshakes available. And during the month of December, they feature an egg nog milkshake. During July-August, a watermelon milkshake is served. My food was good, but I wish they had a few different offerings for sides. Such as corn on the cob, potato/macaroni salad, or baked beans. Like what you would have at your back yard cook out. I will most likely stop in here again when I am driving up to Atlanta again. And I do not have to worry about anyone panhandling me at the drive thru. Oh, I just remembered. That happened to me at the McDonald's drive thru on South Orange Avenue in Orlando. And I did not have my morning coffee when the guy approached my vehicle. Dude, not a wise move! read more

Not clean. Food is rushed and not good as when it first opened. Bathrooms are not clean. Went inside to eat. Food could be much better. Service could be much better. No ambiance. read more

We haven't been to a cook out in a while and honestly nothing has changed except the prices . It's the same crappy food for more money unfortunately. The burger we got was dried out then chicken nuggets were rubber and the cheese bites barely had any cheese. The soda machine smelled terrible like mold and for get about the bathrooms. The extra star was for the lady working the front she was running all over the place while dealing with people arguing in the back. Not a great visit. read more

My husband and I live Cook Out. They are always crazy busy when we visit. Shakes are delicious and I love their onion rings. The hamburgers are a little rich for me so I opt for the hotdogs. read more

horrible experience sitting in the drive-through for over 30 minutes with ignorant workers not taking our orders. We're here just being good customers and they don't want to serve us because we dunno why read more

Food is super cheap but the staff weren't that friendly and screwed up the order. My husband was done with his food by the time they brought out my chili dog. read more

Horrible customer service, the manager was very rude. And to top it all off they got my order wrong

If you want food you could've cooked yourself served to you in a prison-cafeteria atmosphere, Cook Out is the place for you. Yeah, the food is cheap but you're far from getting your money's worth at this joint. Service is terrible. Imagine the cashier rolling her eyed back into her head as she trudges from the back to the front, forcing you to break up your order into smaller segments as she handles whatever it was she's preoccupied with. Then, getting your order number shouted to you in a tone that reveals how bothersome you were for ordering in the first place. read more

We were passing through on our way home from Florida and stopped for a shake. First of all, Customer service is terrible. We waited several minutes before anyone took our order, even though a couple of workers walked past the counter with no kind of acknowledgement. Secondly, I left my wallet there but did not realize it until my bank called me with potential fraud. When I called cook out to see if my wallet was there I was told by a lady that I needed to come in to identify it and they would give it to me. When I stated that I live 2 1/2 hours away and I just needed to make sure that I was indeed my wallet before making the drive , they told me that they'd take down my name and number and give me a call back. I called back after an hour to verify that it is my wallet so that I could get on the road to go pick it up and I was told by a gentleman (one of the managers) that that my husband, son or dad came to pick it up already last-night . I then stated that that is not possible because we live 2 1/2 hrs away and I didn't even realize it was missing until this morning when my bank called me. The manager then said he's sorry, but the wallet is not in their store. I realize this is due to my negligence in leaving my wallet, but the staff is here is not honest and very unprofessional. read more

Yes they were very busy, and a whole busload of children came in right after us, but they skipped over our order. We checked on it, THIRTY MINUTES after we ordered they were just making it. After filling orders that were after ours. Very disappointed at the horrible service. Definitely not what I expected from Cook Out. read more

The food was great and very fast service. We would visit them again if in the area. The restaurant was clean and well kept.

Someone from corporate please come and inspect this place. Service is bad; orders were wrong, no "thank you" , garbage cans overflowing, bathrooms not clean. Pretty rough so we'll just skip this one next time. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that I have never ordered from cookout before, other than an occasional milkshake, so I decided to get some lunch.I pulled up in the drive thru and was told to standby. I wasnt sure why I needed to wait. There was only one other car in the other lane. I did as I was asked and began to look at the menu. That was a mistake. It made no sense. All I wanted was a burger and fries but this was like navigating a space launch. i waited for about 15 minutes and eventually left. The person who told me to wait never came back. Horrible service and for Gods sake make the menu simpler. read more

I was stuck in the drive-through at this location for 20 minutes Only to go to the front of the line to be told through the speaker that they were not serving chicken or burgers. The advertisement on their sign says fresh hamburgers. If you don't have hamburgers you should probably put that on a sign at the drive-through before customers get stuck in it. They will never get my money. read more

Open until 3am for late night eats. Thank you Tifton for late night options!! Many flavors of shakes to choose from.

Service is usually pretty fast, but it's usually made wrong or missing items. It would be nice to at least get a smile at the window. The girl working drive thru today was dripping with sarcasm and I'm sick of the attitude at this place. Won't be back. read more

I ordered a tray and got quesadillas and cheese bites (no sauce on quesadillas) and a side of sour cream. The lady charged me 50¢ for sour cream. I get to my car and they gave me only quesadillas WITH SAUCE and THEY GAVE ME MAYO INSTEAD OF SOURCREAM?!!!!! I went back in to get it fixed and both ladies behind the counter had terrible attitudes and charger me for more sour cream. Might i add i never got my cheese bites. Everytime i have been here they have messed up my order and i will be calling corporate. read more

Cook Out - a person holding a container of food - American Near Me - Tifton, Georgia

The food is nasty with bad servants. The restrooms were dirty with "stuff" on the seat. We didn't get what we ordered.

If I could give them no stars I would. When I was trying to order my food. The cashier just blatantly went to the other other customers. So I had had had wait 15 minutes. So they processed to do it again, that's when a customer came after us. DO NOT COME HERE FOR LOUSY EMPLOYEES THAT DONT WANT TO DO THEIR JOB RIGHT! read more

We were passing through from KY, my aunt was behind the wheel and unfamiliar with cookout. She was fumbling through the order and so was the cashier, who another employee jumped in to help and explained he was new. They were very patient while we also were deliberating with young, tired boys. When we (finally) got to the window, the you could tell the young man at the window had the sweetest smile, even behind his mask. After we pulled off, we realized they gave us 3 extra tenders for the boys. Thank you for being so sweet! read more

Awful. Worst service ever. Staff was unkind and messed up our order twice. Will NOT be returning!!!

First timer and Susan was so rude and impatient take her off the drive thru.. we liked our food tho

Don't waste your time here. You will be in the drive thru line for over 30 minutes and still end up with the wrong food. I don't know what the issue is at this location, but they need major help. read more

Will NOT be back here again. Lady at register was rude and pushy. Big burger with cheese was shoe leather and no cheese. If this was a double well ---- Tried to ask for ketchup and all she did was glare at us. No we didn't get the ketchup. The only thing that was good were the onion rings. But again NO KETCHUP for them Good thing we had water with us because we needed it to wash down the (if you want to call it a burger) burger down. Also asked for napkins and didn't get those either To bad there isn't a minus for the ratings. This was in Tifton. My advice go to Jersey Mikes You will get better service with a smile and GREAT food read more

First of all, the amount of food for the price is great. The kids love the corn dogs and nuggets. The shakes are fresh and thick. The cheesecake shake actually has a whole piece of cheesecake! read more

Food and value is good. Service was not. Order was wrong and it was given twice to be sure. No tissue or soap in the ladies room. If I could, they would not even receive a single star. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We were in line around 9:50pm and waited in line for about 10 minute, after such, we were singled out, told we are closed and won't service you. Online states that they close at 10pm. If this is how you treat your customer and I really hope it's not, then I find you guys rude, disgusting, and very disappointing. I hope this is a lesson in humility where in a customer service related industry, To Get Your Crap Together. Location is Tifton Georgia read more

This place is terrible. I'm not sure how it stays open with the quality of staff there...The girl behind the counter comes flying out claiming my husband hit her car with his truck. Clearly just wanted money we didn't have. Stated that her car was dented. I told her that's the reflection of the parking line (it was wet on the ground). She comes over realizes yes there is no dent and is in fact just a reflection but is still screaming that he hit it. Things this food service worker didn't realize: my husband had a backup camera Also a truck his size absolutely would have dented it and there would have been WHITE paint transfer. We didn't even get to order. We just left. I tried to be nice and talk to her even though my husband was rightfully mad. She still had the attitude even though she was wrong. A I'm sorry I was mistaken would have went way further but her pride wouldn't allow it. Don't go here. The staff is ridiculous. Also my small son was present when she decided to launch her verbal assault on us. A disgrace to the franchise. You absolutely need to clean this place up staff wise. I think you're losing a ton of money at this location just from service alone. You definitely lost 60 bucks from us that day. read more

I wish I could give them less than one star because they don't deserve any. Sheldey was rude as F*CK and made this a horrible experience for us. Super impatient while taking our order through the drive through and even raised her voice at us. IT IS A MIRACLE WE GOT ALL OUR FOOD! Ever heard of a customer service voice Sheldey? You should try it- it really helps with interactions like this one. Also Sheldey you should SERIOUSLY reconsider having any job working with people because you are NOT A NICE PERSON. Stopped by the cookout in Tifton ga and everything was going fine until we got to the window.I placed my order and received my total then said I have a second order. After placing my second order I wasn't give the total amount but told to pull around and that's what we did. when we got to the window I paid for the first order and the cashier seemed like she had a attitude. she finally told me the second amount and as I was getting the money from my son she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes and had another cashier to take the money. After we got our second order I asked for some ketchup and the cashier handed me some but it was sticky and nasty so I asked for more. she looks and say they're all sticky! Didn't try to find me more or anything. Cookout you need to train your employees better in customer service and how not to give customers nasty sticky condiments! read more
