Char Grilled Hot Dogs with chilli and double fries

They are ok. They have their good days and bad days. But overall the food is edible. Just make sure you have enough fries for double fries

Greensboro classic drive in. The place seems to be packed at all hours. Pro tip - do the walk up to avoid the long line of cars. Their shakes are thick - more like mcflurry like. You can mix in unlimited goodies and they have a long list. Got the chocolate malt and Oreo. Pretty good. Cheesecake is a nice add on as well. Fries were ok - I'm told the cheese bites are the bomb - as is the cheerwine float

If I want fast-food and I want a lot for my buck, I always go to Cook Out and get a Cookout Tray. You get a main protein (hamburger, BBQ, hot dogs quesadilla, or chicken sandwich plus two sides and a drink for like $5. And the sides are not just the standards of fries or onion rings, you can get a corndog, chicken nuggets, hushpuppies, or a wrap for example. You can also upgrade to shake for your beverage or a specialty "style" protein for very cheap. So much food! My husband and I tend to split the tray if not going for full-on indulgence. I tend to get the Cheddar Style burger (cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions, mayo) and like to mix up my sides. On my last drive-thru visit I got Hush puppies (my most common choice as they are delicious- nice and crispy on outside and soft inside) and Cajun fries. They are happy to supply ketchup and honey mustard on request. I am not a big soda person, so I always go for the shake upgrade. My husband religiously orders the Caramel Fudge shake, while I like to mix that up too. This time I got Chocolate Chip Mint. I also like Cheesecake, Heath Toffee, and Chocolate Nut. Their shakes are super filling, nice and thick. Sometimes they don't do a good job of spreading out the inclusions throughout. One cannot (should not) eat Cook Out often, yes the food is greasy, heavy, and fattening but it's supposed to be. Whenever I decide to treat myself with fast-food this is my go-to, everything in moderation, right?

Spicy, Crispy Chicken Sandwich - this is a very nice sandwich.

I left impressed with the service at this location, and I've always been a fan of the food. Tried their Spicy, Crispy Sandwich which I thought was better than the same sandwich at Wendy's, and I like that sandwich. The Double Cheeseburger with L, T, & Mayo was very good, better than most such burgers at fast food restaurants. The Hot Dog was good, once the rather strong, probably old chopped onions were disposed of. FFs were as good as usual. Liked the food, loved the friendly, very pleasant, very efficient service here - not always so at other locations, at least, that has been my experience.

Aye this last night and it was so terrible. Nuggets were cold, fries hard. The tea wasn't as sweet as it usually is, so disappointed.

Once we sat down, we got right into the food, chilaquiles verdes, waffles with strawberries, and huevos rancheros. Everything was flavorful and hit the spot. The place was packed, so I was honestly surprised at how quickly our food came out, but it was absolutely worth it. Service was great all around. The only thing I'd note is that it is a smaller space (it looks like it may have previously been a Waffle House), so I'd recommend going with a party of 4 or less for a more comfortable experience. Overall, definitely a spot worth trying!

This place is a little different, they encourage ordering a few things and sharing everything. This server helped me order a cocktail with good recommendations and also brought out a small sample of two wines my wife was deciding between. We ordered three snacks, appetizers if you will, and three plates. Each one was a culinary delight! You really have to take your time with each bite and savor all the flavors and how they compliment each other and make everything come together. Our server helped us with our choices for all of these as well. First of all, we ordered a sweet potato funnel cake, a mushroom toast, and garlic bread. Every time we took our first bite of anything we ordered, our eyes rolled in the back of our head and said "Mmmmmm!" For the plates we ordered the polenta, Wagyu flat iron steak, and Seabass. I think the server said in the polenta the onions were cooked for six hours, but no matter what, it was pretty amazing. I never thought I would be so taken by polenta, but it was rich and creamy and flavorful. The Seabass was served with a spoon, and we saw why. There was a sauce that was poured around and it collected underneath the fish. It was a saffron bouillabaisse, wonderful! The last thing we were served was the steak, and they only serve it one way, medium rare, which was perfect for me. By the way, all the plates come out as they are made ready, they don't necessarily come out at once. This ensures that it comes out fresh and hot. This also gave us a chance to savor everything one or two at a time. The server also explains what is in the dish as they bring it out, which is a really nice touch so you know what all is in it. For dessert we split the flourless chocolate cake, which was served with a dab of whipped cream I think, and olive oil ice cream, which I had never heard of before but, like everything else it was amazing! I could have just had that for dessert and been happy. We came on a Wednesday, and they were weren't a lot of people, so it was nice and quiet and somewhat dimly lit for peaceful dinner. I can't say enough about this place, and how much I want to come back!

Jill and Kayne, who previously created KAU at Revolution Mill before selling it to Pepper Moon, also own Old Town Draft House and Boulder's Bar and Grill. Each and every one is amazing in its own way. Old Town has been one of the longest standing establishments, and it puts out incredible food! Burgers, wraps, apps, salads, wings, sandwiches, Philly's, even a burrito... you name it. Pretty much everything that comes out of this kitchen is a hit. Today I had the chicken Philly. Yep, the best chicken Philly I've had in a very long time. The classic soft Philly hoagie, chicken that's tender and juicy, peppers and onions full of flavor with the perfect consistency (not too limp, not too raw), all topped with oozing cheese that they're not shy with. I'm salivating just thinking about it as I write this...may have to go get another one tomorrow lol. The housemade chips and dip were perfect with it. Great craft beers, local options, and everything in between round out a perfect pub in the heart of UNCG. This one is definitely in the rotation. No matter what owner couple Jill and Kayne do, they do it amazingly well.

On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.
