I just had the worst experience at this Cook Out location, and I'm urging anyone reading this: do not eat here. I know most people may not come across this review, but if you do, please take it seriously. This place was not only unprofessional; it was downright disrespectful. I pulled into the drive-thru and waited 15 minutes in line. No big deal! I understand places get busy. When I finally reached the window, I ordered a chicken strip tray with double fries and a sweet tea. That's a simple order... I worked at Cook Out for over four years in North Carolina, so I know exactly how this should be prepared. It doesn't take more than four or five minutes and everything's coming out of the fryer. After I paid, I sat at the window for another five minutes waiting on my food. I could see the cashier visibly frustrated, asking the fry station worker where my tray was. Eventually, a manager came over, asked for my order, and started helping the cashier put together everyone else's orders. About 30 to 45 seconds later, I finally received my tray. But here's where things went completely downhill. I opened the tray and saw crumbs...literally the bottom-of-the-bag scraps of chicken tenders. No full tenders. No meat. Just fried breading. I calmly showed the cashier and asked for a proper tray. One of the workers shrugged and said, "We can't help how the chicken comes out of the bag." Seriously? Then the manager, Toni, came over and asked what the problem was. I explained that these were crumbs, not tenders, and that I would like actual chicken strips. Her response? "Those are chicken strips." I told her, respectfully, that I've worked at Cook Out. I know the standard. I'm not being picky, I'm just asking for what I paid for. She looked me dead in the face and said, "You can take it or leave it." So I asked for a refund. She snarkily asked the cashier, "How did he pay?" I told her I used my card. She told me to tap it again for the refund. I was hesitant, because who wants to be double-charged for something they didn't even eat? But I complied. Afterward, I asked for a receipt. Toni told me the printer wasn't working. I asked how I was supposed to know if the refund actually went through. She said, "Honey, you gotta trust me. I'm being 100%. What do I have to lie for?" I'll tell you why that's laughable--because if you can't serve me a proper chicken strip tray, why would I trust you to refund my money...? I asked for the corporate number. She told me, "You worked at Cook Out. Look it up." When I asked to see one of the bags or cups with the number printed on it, she rolled her eyes and said, "Look on the back of that big ass tea you got." At that point, I said, "You're right. Thanks for the reminder. Have a blessed day." And I left. I immediately called the 1-800 number to report the incident. What's truly heartbreaking is that I love Cook Out. It was my first job, and I take pride in what the brand stands for. But this location? This was the most despicable experience I've ever had at any restaurant, and it pains me to say that. The lack of care, the disrespect, and the condescending dismissiveness from the manager were completely unacceptable. If corporate happens to see this, please know: Toni should not be in any position that involves customer service. This location is giving your brand a terrible name. Do better. Please. read more

Honestly, I'm not even sure where to begin. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, this was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any dining establishment--fast food or otherwise. The first issue was with the drive-through line, which was wrapped around the building. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the dining room was inexplicably closed despite a sign on the door indicating it should still have been open for another five hours. All the chairs were already stacked up, and it was clear they had no intention of allowing indoor dining. This disregard for their posted hours was frustrating, especially after a long day of working and adventuring. We decided to stay in the drive-through line and eventually placed our order. The first item we ordered was a kid's meal, followed by the rest of our food. The staff member taking our order rushed me through the process, even though it was my first time at this particular location, and I wanted to take a moment to review the menu. Despite this, she repeated everything back to us, so I assumed the order was correct. When we reached the drive-through window, they took my payment and handed me my card back along with two drinks. However, the drinks were smaller than the sizes we ordered, and I couldn't get their attention to address the issue because they had already closed the window and weren't paying attention to us. We received our food and pulled into a parking spot to check the bag. Right away, we noticed the kid's meal--the very first item we ordered--was missing. My girlfriend went inside to resolve the issue, but instead of fixing the problem, the staff member argued with her, claiming we never ordered the meal. To make matters worse, we couldn't prove it because we were never given a receipt. Frustrated and without resolution, we decided to leave. As we drove away, we stopped somewhere else to grab food for the child and decided to check our meals more closely. The moment we opened the bags, an overwhelming smell of cigarettes hit us. The food reeked of it, and upon closer inspection, we found that half the food was burnt while the other half had mistakes--like ketchup on burgers we specifically requested without it. The food was completely inedible. We couldn't even stomach a single bite. When we got home, we ended up throwing it all in the trash and eating something else. This experience was beyond unacceptable. From the poorly trained staff and incorrect orders to the inedible food that smelled and tasted terrible, everything about this visit was a failure. This is not how food service should operate, and I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone visit this location. Until there is a complete overhaul of the staff or significant improvements are made, I urge others to avoid this place entirely. If I could give this location a zero out of 1,000, I would. read more

The AmeriCAN food experience is ALIVE and THRIVING! Open or concealed carry, this Cookout eatery is as democratic of an experience as they come. The food was not warm...but who enjoys a fever? We've got to stop pretending we're too evolved for half-melted cheese or a corndog with a batter-to-wiener ratio that skews heavily towards batter. THIS is the experience society once valued when public school cafeteria's and church parking lot carnivals were the arenas for cultural discourse and exchange. It's not free...its FREEdom. GO TO COOK OUT. 4 stars, as in, FOUR MORE YEARS! read more

There should be an option for zero stars. Went to the Cook Out in Morrow Ga. The food was TERRIBLE!!! My burger was a black, crispy piece of charcoal. My chicken quesadilla was also burnt to a crisp. Who ever made that food knew darn well NOT to give paying customers BURNT FOOD!!!! As long as you all get a paycheck that is all you care about. This person should be FIRED on the spot for this nonsense. They do not belong in fast food at all. My husband got the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich, and it made him vomit. You all should be ashamed. That was a waste of $20. read more

I just really want to brag on this particular location. Any time my husband and I have been here it has always been hot and fresh. If they forgot something, they gladly fix it and very quickly. I've never had a bad experience here and while it is close to my house, I'd bypass other locations to come here. We really appreciate the service. Thank you everyone!! read more

I don't know who the young lady was working tonight but when I tell you she is THE TRUTH?!!!! She was handling the drive thru AND the lobby -- seamlessly. There were random men walking around and she was running circles around everyone. I just popped in to get some Cajun fries and the person on fries was a beast too. They were the freshest, well-seasoned, non-super-greasy Cook Out fries I've EVER had. This is the only Cook Out I'm coming to. Period. 10/10 for sure. read more

This was my first time trying Cookout, as west coast girl, and I must say how disappointed I was. The customer service was TERRIBLE; the drive thru line was to the road and while I understand a need for urgency to keep the line moving, the lady taking our order never once let me finish my sentence. The menu confused me a bit when I first got there so excuse me for asking questions and clarifying. They were out of root beer for the milkshake floats, and were so snappy when my friend requested a "reg barbecue" ... "REG BARBECUE WHAT? SANDWICH? NUGS? TENDERS?" Like chill out... your menu doesn't specify. They forgot my friends fries when she was supposed to have 2 sides, she only received the nuggets. The chili WAS SO SMALL I pulled it out and thought it was a SHOT of chili.. TLDR the food tasted fine, 6/10 nothing special, but the service was disappointing and unwelcoming. read more

This was my second trip to cook out but first at this location, and I must say my first experience definitely out preform this one. I don't have all negative things to say but I must say soggy lettuce is a big no no for me (on the burger and in the walking taco) plus THICK MILKSHAKE! I have no way to drink it until it melts which is a big turn off. Now on the brighter side I also got to taste the sweet tea definitely top tier no disappointment there! I'd rate the trip 6.5/10! read more

There was a super bitch with an ugly attitude working the drive through. Waited for over 30 minutes, had my order taken and repeated to me, yet when I got to the window I was told I needed to go back around????? Because they didn't get my order??? I can't write a full review because I didn't actually try the food. But we came on a mission - to try the milkshakes. The famous milkshakes - and they are famous for a reason. There are so so many choices, and you can mix and match two flavors. I mixed the caramel fudge with the oreo, and it was a great decision. It had a very thick consistency, and it was a bit hard to sip through a straw at times because the Oreo chunks were sometimes too large. But a spoon worked just fine. And it was FILLING. Could be a dinner replacement, but we ended up going for a slice of pizza a few hours later (dessert for dinner, and dinner for dessert, I guess. It took about 10 minutes for them to prepare 4 milkshakes for my friends and I, which seemed long for fast food, but we were there around dinnertime, so it was a bit crowded between people inside the restaurant and the drive-thru. read more

Cheap (yeah) Tasty (Not for me) 2nd time here and I gotta say the stars are for the MILKSHAKES, HUSHPUPPIES and CHEERWINE!!! (I REPEAT..My opinion) First time I went I tasted a explosion of salt! Second visit I notice the same salt explosion that had my tastebuds feeling sick! The first visit I was hoping it was just what I had ordered.... (nope, it's the salt!) This time instead of the milkshake I had the cheerwine. (I like) I also enjoy the Banana milkshake from my first visit. Drive thru and inside are both crowded. Lots of people enjoy it I guess? ( to each their own) Don't let my review stop you, but if you have any blood pressure issues or hate salty food... STAY AWAY read more

The prices are affordable. The food was good. Typical fast food. I got chili cheese fries, cheese quesadilla and cheddar style hamburger.

I just went through the drive-through here so I can speak too much on their sit down service. This was the quickest cookout drive trough I've ever been to. I ordered my usual cheat day meal, a cookout Cajun chicken tray with fries and a M&M milkshake. I ordered and got my food within 6-7 minutes. This is unheard of at cookout typically. The Cajun chicken sandwich was great and they grilled it just right. I always ask no mayo and I ALWAYS get mayo at fast food places. It was refreshing to not be disappointed for once and a while and have someone get my order right. The fries were fresh and crispy and the milkshake was perfect. This is your typical cookout food so don't expect extra sparkles or anything. The best thing I can say is this was one of the more efficient cookouts I've ever been to. Speedy, made correctly, and food was good. What more can you ask from a fast food joint. read more

One star to many! Yikes I'm back been working on my site First 1 On Me, come on over to see more! Cook out, should be taken out ie closed (at least this location). What was a decent place to pick up a quick bite has become a place you should pass by and...never thought I would say it go to Krystal, Mc Sleazy aka the golden arch or the dreaded double drive through that only has one side open. Placed my order and unfortunately had Brittany as my cashier! First Ms. Brittany handed me a soda that was running over. I requested napkins while clearly holding a wet dripping drink in my hands via the drive through. Instead of Ms. Brittany handing me napkins or (god forbid) clean the cup before handing me the drink. She chose to ignore that fact and assumed I wanted sticky hands and dripping drink on me and my car. She proceeded to put the napkins in the bag, so I obliged her by holding up her line to clean the now overfilled cup and wiping my hands, clothes and car. I checked my order and I shouldn't have been surprised a pitiful "double burger with mayonnaise that could have been used to make a quart of slaw. The only memorable part of the burger was the onion which over powered the sausage patty size burger. So if you like onions and mayo go here! As mentioned the slaw was a spoon full chopped cabbage and a dab of vinegar, fries soggy and slightly warm. Cook Out is sadly what typically happens when a business forgets or doesn't care or have no mission statement. Once long lines now like a desert this place is PITIFUL. Do yourself the neighborhood a favor go back to when you first arrive, make customer service PRIORITY and profit will come. Quality food can charge premium prices not the other way around! read more

My fiancé and I come here once every blue moon if nothings open. Mainly because the likelihood of our order having one correct item is about as likely as the falcons winning a Super Bowl.
