I was on my lunch both lines were open. I pulled behind the driver in the second drive thru. The girl said she would be right back. 5-6 minute later still nothing. 3 cars in the first line had been waited on and left still no one took my order. I left and called corporate with a complaint. Where was an adult manager for this store? This was the poorest service that I have ever had at this location. It was Thursday afternoon so I pulled up through drive in and my orders came quickly. But the bummer was when I opened the wrapper of my burger was a big fly already started eating the meat section like eating all you can eat buffet. Of course I went inside get replacement (hungry) it replaced but people there show no apology like it's a regular thing for them. PISSED!! went in drive thru, ordered ONION RINGS with my tray and got hush puppies. look at the ticket and the cashier even rung it up wrong. there is NO phone number to call and I can't turn around bc I have to go back to work! Simple order gone wrong... Just a 1/4 burger with cheese ketchup lettuce and tomato and double order of seasoned fries + and order of a regular burger the same way just without cheese and add mayo. They get orders wrong all the time and it's really frustrating to go back to the restaurant and have to prove to them that they gave the wrong thing. So I took my order back and they put cheese on the same burger (having opened the food I took back) and then put seasoning salt on the fires. This place always seems to mess up my order, but this particular one takes the cake and I pissed me off to the point of using Yelp. I waited in the line to the drive thru which backed up to the street (loads of fun); when it was my turn to order I ordered a Cook Out Tray with the Big Double Burger with (Cheese, Lettuce, Onion, mustard and Pickles) double up with onion rings, a diet Dr. Pepper and two additional sides of cook out sauce. When I got my food, there was no straw in the Bag nor Cook Out sauce so I had to go around to the front for Both. Then when I bit into my burger instead of Lettuce, onion or mustard, they decided to substitute ketchup instead (Gross) and my Diet Dr. Pepper was definitely not Diet. As someone who works in restaurant management and knows Athens enough to know which places have shotty reputations, Corporate really needs to step up and crack down on this place. read more

I was very disappointed in cookout. I ordered a 3 chicken tender plate with cheese curds and onion rings. I was charged for this meal and was very disappointed to receive 2 chicken tenders, 3 cheese curds, and a handful of onion rings. I then emailed their customer support and after a week did not hear pack from them. I would not recommend visiting cookout unless you want to be disappointed. read more

This place easily has no pride in their own service. I understand they want to hire college kids who can care less about their jobs...but question....where is the management?? I can't tell if their is any over site for the employees. The drive thru experience is dreadful not just because of the wait....in fact the wait is only horrible because the anticipation of dealing with the speaker box is treacherous. They speak so fast and without any care of what you really want. It is just to get you to be finished with the order so they don't have to work. Unbelievably poor customer service. I ordered a chocolate shake in the drive through and they handed me a vanilla shake. I showed them it was a vanilla shake and the two drive through women argued with me about it, saying it was chocolate and rolled their eyes. Then they tried to ignore me. I give them a two because the food we did get was good, unfortunately we didn't get all the food we ordered:( we tried to continue our order because we had multiple people in the car and the drive through just stopped answering us. Teco had the worst customer service I've ever experienced if you hate your job that much honey get one that doesn't involve human interaction. For $5 you can get a choice of an entree like a hamburger, hot dog, quesadillas, bbq chicken sandwich, spicy grilled chicken, etc and two sides o-rings, hushpuppies, fries etc and a drink. Tonight me and my boyfriend decided to go go cook out for dinner since it was a little late. We order our food then we got up to the window and the lady at the window was wearing air pods and was rude right off. Then she handed us Our food and shut the window as soon as she handed me the money she owed me back. So we sat there for a couple minutes and I asked her why I got a medium cup instead of a large and she said a medium was a large in the rudest way possible. The parking lot was extremely sketchy I saw a man lurk from the bushes pull down his pants and start urinating on someone's car. I usually go to the Epps Bridge location but decided to give this one a shot, as it's closer to my house. We entered the drive through at 10:50, ordered 2 milkshakes that the cashier misheard and we had to repeat ourselves a couple of times. We didn't reach the window until 11:30 and it seemed like everyone ahead of us didn't have large orders either. We got to the window and the cashier got our order confused and charged us for the wrong order so we had to wait for a refund.
