I had a colleague with both gluten and dairy allergies, and cross-contamination was always stressful when eating out. Corbett's was one of the few places she genuinely felt safe eating. The restaurant itself has a classic old-school diner feel: order at the counter, grab a fountain drink or a fun bottled soda (there is MUCH more than root beer), and they'll bring your food out to you. There are bottle cap openers mounted on the walls, crates for empties by the trash cans, covered outdoor seating, and prices that are refreshingly affordable. It's one of those that you don't dare put down because it's hard to pick back up again. Really good, maybe I'd add jalapeños next time. For my side, I went with cole slaw. It was creamy, but thankfully,not overly thick and heavy. Maybe a touch more vinegar would have helped balance it out. The Arnold Palmer was served in a plastic cup, a little unusual. It was really, really good! Steak was maybe not medium rare as requested, but it tasted great, and all of the components of the salad really worked together. After 5 or so minutes of trying to track our waitress down, I had to get the bar tender to help. I asked if this is usually what the serving of chicken is and she said unfortunately yes. I had just had the same thing a month ago.... She offered me more meat. I said yes and I should have realized it was for a fee. More drowned chicken came out at the same portion for $4.45. Amanda then disappeared for a long while, cleared one plate away after asking if we were done (didn't listen to the answer). I was also for some reason charged for Dave's sauce. Confused. Not sure I will be back but if I am, I will not be getting that salad! Ripoff.

My pick-up time was set for 5 minutes after I sent the order, which was pretty solid. Unfortunately, when I walked in to get my order, the cashier apologetically told me that they hadn't seen the ticket because it doesn't automatically print from website orders. If you do use the website, you should also call them to let them know that you ordered something, which kind of defeats the purpose of using the website I guess. I realize it was the end of the day, but was surprised it was let to get so dirty and not mopped up some during the day. I was trying to take the picture discreetly so it doesn't really show how bad it was, but most of the white tiles were filthy.
