Purchased a vehicle in October and by November it started smelling strong of gas. Took it into a service center (not Conway Heaton) and they replaced the gas pump and connectors. Still smelled like gas over a month later, so I took it back and they had to change out the whole fuel tank. Got it back a couple of days ago. It still smells like gas, but I'm hoping it will go away soon. This is the worst experience I've had after buying a car. It's terrible to buy a newer vehicle with low miles and not even be able to drive it. I have talked to a couple people since, who have also had problems with their vehicle shortly after purchasing from Conway Heaton. During all of this, I contacted the salesman (Zach) who sold me the car to see about getting into contact with the previous owner, only to never be followed up with or for my text to go unanswered. read more

Went in to look at a 2022 Ford F150 Lariat silver in color. Sales lady came out to show us the truck and to take it for a test drive. After returning we talked about some scratches on the vehicle and she suggested that their detailing guy could get them out. She said she would call me when we could come back and look at it again to make sure it was done to our satisfaction. Fast forward to a couple days later. We came back to look at the truck again and we're satisfied on the detailing job. Went in to buy the vehicle and to begin negotiations. Finance guy came out with an attitude and said they wouldn't sell that vehicle for anything under MSRP. I was shocked as I have bought many vehicles in my lifetime. (I'm 54) I have never paid MSRP. If you don't want to be treated poorly and pay full price for your next vehicle stay clear from this dealership. Since writing this review they have reduced the truck price. read more

One of the worst experience of I've ever had buying a car. I bought the car from them. It had 142,000 miles on it so I get it they had to sell it as is wouldn't give me a warranty with the car because of how many miles ahead on it the next day, the car starts missing and acting crazy stalling out, and now they want to do nothing about it other than put me in the shop and charge me to fix it will never return back to the store ever again to buy another car nor will I ever recommend anyone ever going. read more

Once again, yet another bad experience with Conway-Heaton Ford. Service writer Carl immediately starts my drop off with an attitude. I maintain my cool, explaining I've prearranged a Ford paid rental while my Escape is serviced for a recall. Carl turns it into an argument. No apologies or acknowledgment even when another service writer steps forward to welcome me and acknowledges she had made all of the arrangements exactly as I was trying to explain to Carl. As a Ford employee myself with The Louisville Assembly Plant in Louisville, shared referrals among coworkers to Ford Dealerships will never include Conway-Heaton. I would give them a zero if I could. Bought a used car there last year for a new teen driver. Belt was squeaking- I mentioned it and was told it was fixed and the car looked great and safe - even the "mechanic said so". They seemed to just put oil on the belt to stop the squeak as it started up again after we bought it. Then the AC went out, I'm guessing it probably didn't work right either and they covered it up. I let the salesperson know, but she brushed me off, I kept her texts just to remember how shady they are. I would recommend not buying here - they help keep the used car salesman image for sure. read more

New to the area and my car started acting up. This place was recommended to me since I have a ford. I called and explained the issues I was having. Because of the economy right now he informed me they were about a week out in repairs. I was totally fine with it. Dropped my car off after hours and he called me the next morning with an update on what all needed to be done. I asked him if he wouldn't mind doing a couple more things since it was there and he said sure. Carl was super friendly and kept me updated everyday on the progress of my vehicle. Saw a vehicle on the lot and called about it. I was told they wanted $22,500 for a 95 bronco with a dent in the side. When I questioned more about it I was told the used car manager which happens to be part owner (pikey) was driving it and didn't want to sell it. I was then told he would sell a personal vehicle of his if I was interested. So his black 91 bronco, he wanted $15000. You can buy them mint like this but this was in god shape. Lol I was then told he sometimes drives cars he likes that are on the lot and bumps price way up so they won't sell. So if you are looking for a lot who has serving the customer as a priority you may not want to go here. It's about serving the owners needs of what he feels like driving not selling vehicles. 3 weeks later the sales woman asked me if I might be interested now apparently he was bringing his old bronco in and keeping the one they took in as his own. Umm no thanks I'll take my business somewhere who cares about the customer not themselves. read more

Called about a vehicle and set an appointment up to come and buy it. They ran my credit and everything was set up, then they call to say they sold it. HORRIBLE way to treat a military family. Also the sales guy was extremely rude over the phone as you can imagine we were very upset! Just plain unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and find another car lot that treats people with respect. read more

This place really screwed up my truck. I brought in my 2003 Ford F-150 for bodywork. They fixed what they were supposed to but failed to reinstall some trim panels and put my doors back on properly. Even worse than that they did a huge amount of damage to my doors and side panels. When I confronted them about it they dodged me as long as they could. I finally got in touch with dick Heaton and he went as far as to call me a liar. I will never do business with these people again and recommend you don't either. They are no more than lousy salesmen. read more

Bought my car from here about 3-1/2 months ago. My car has already been in the shop at least 4 times. Twice for Transmission issues. Within 1 week of having the car I asked to exchange it for another since the transaction had not even finalized and my bank said it was fine to do so. They refused. The service dept had my car in the shop and said since it would be a few days until it's fixed they called and had me picked up by enterprise for a rental car. Then when I called the following Monday to see when I could pick my car up they said it's been ready and they are not paying for the rental since I didn't need it. I argued with them for several days and refused to pay. Finally they said my warranty will pay for it but I would have to pay for the rental and file a claim then be reimbursed. Now my car is in the shop because my airbag system light came on. Took over a week and half to get in. Then they tell me since this is not normal wear and tear that I would not have to pay the service fee or for labor. They had my car for less than 3 hours and call and said the light was on cause the conntection was bad and they filed down the connectors and it's fixed. Since no parts were ordered they are charging me for labor! $141 for something that is NOT normal wear and tear. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

First time I have purchased a new car from this dealership and have not been very happy. I communicate alot via email and I waited for several days after contacting a service advisor on there website thru his email only to find out he no longer worked there. I have had alot of trouble contacting them via email even though the emails are available on the website. I had a dead battery the day of the test drive but it was taken care of so I didn't dwell on it. I have had wind noise coming from my rear passenger windows and have taken it there twice and it has still not been repaired. I was told basically it cant be fixed. Had another dead battery 3 months after purchasing car. I contacted the dealer about roadside assistance. After waiting for a reply for 3 hours they finally replied and said they didn't have the contact info for roadside assistance. By the time they called me back I had already called Ford Roadside and they had already came and took care of the issue. No issues with Ford roadside assistance. They were very helpful on the phone and on time. Bottom line is I like the car. I purchased a new car not to have used car problems. I understand a new car can have issues too but I would expect them to be fixed by the dealer to keep the customer happy. Just not satisfied. read more

took my 2018 explorer in for a warranty fix. the roof rack/luggage bar kept popping off. had taken it in once before they said they fixed it. however a couple weeks later it comes off again. I go in talk to Jeff in body dept. He gets on the computer and tells me he ordered a new one will call when it comes in. well 2 weeks no call I go in there and ask if the part came in. He gets on his computer and then says yes it came in bring it in tomorrow we will install it. I go in the next day another person Rob is in the office I tell him I came in to get the new part put on. He says there is no new part. I told him Jeff ordered it. Well when we found Jeff I find out he never ordered a part never intended to replace the part and tells me he was going to glue it down. So had Rob not been there Jeff intended to glue it and tell me he replaced it. Which is fraud. how many others has he cheated ? is this a company policy or is it just Jeff cheating people. read more

I'm not sure how to even start when reviewing conway heaton of bardstown, ky. They are by FAR the worst car dealers within a 100 mile radius! The only time I feel I was ever treated with respect when dealing with ANY employees was the day I signed papers purchasing my vehicle. I recently found out 2 and a half years after purchasing my car, which supposidly was "mint" had actually been wrecked twice! I was told the vehicle had never been in an accident. My fault for not asking for a carfax. I was to trusting of the salesman. When I called the manager to voice my concerns of this issue he hung up the phone on me. Also, I not only did not like their customer service but their service department is equally terrible. I had taken my vehicle in for scheduled maintenance, 5 hours later I left with a shaking car. When confronted they said they had rotated my tires but didn't check to see if they needed balancing. The next day I had to go to a different garage to get my tires back in line. Overall, conway heaton is a terrible buisness to deal with and are absolutely more of a headache than it is worth. I would NOT recommend anyone even consider pulling onto their lot for any vehicle needs they may have. Conway Heaton should do us all a favor and close their doors! Completey dissatisfied! I had to give this one star because it wouldn't allow me hit 0!!!! read more
