I hit the jackpot, as staffer Mike was excellent, with exceptional knowledge of his store, running, and shoes in general. Personnel greeted us warmly. They have a techy sensor pad that examines your feet and makes suggestions about sizing, type of shoes, and brands, then makes suggestions, taking so much of the subjectivity out of the equation. Mike knew his stuff and gave me a pair of options. Both were extremely comfortable and had a great feel. It was a tough call, but the New Balance option emerged victorious and was on sale! They also have a Happy Fit policy, backing up your purchase for 60 days, and will price match. I added some summer running gear and nabbed a calf sleeve Mike recommended with solid reasoning and measurements. In addition, they have incredible apparel and a running club that prepares people for distances and races. Boulder Running Company has joined Fleet Feet, the largest running specialty retailer in the nation. What a great pairing, helping people like me looking for running advice.
