I visited Converse Dentistry in mid 2019, due to my two front teeth being transparent. I wanted to get crowns for them. I met with Dr. Ferdkoff regarding this, and he informed me that my bite was actually off, and he could correct it by placing 8 crowns, including 4 of those being my front teeth. My work started in July 2019 until August 5, 2019. Sept. 2019, I had a crown fall out. I visited the office and they recemented it. Mid October, my next crown falls off. Let's name this tooth #7 because I will mention it quite a bit. When I go to the office for this, they recemented it, but it did not want to stay and I informed them, I really didn't feel the crown was sitting right. Dr. Ferdkoff said, "No problem we will remake it". Which I was very impressed and happy with. I had another crown fall out a couple months later that they recemented on. I asked why my "permanent" teeth kept falling out, and Dr. Ferdkoff replied, "I don't know, it could have been the tooth wasn't dry when we placed it or just crappy cement". Keep in mind, I have had 3 of my 8 fall out at this point. May 2020, another crown falls off. They place it back on but this time they charge me for recementing it. In July 2020, I message the office, the spot where tooth #7 is at is now red, hurting, swollen and the office brings me in. This time, I meet with Dr. Dasai. I explain to him all I have been through to this point and I tell him, "I still don't think that this tooth is sitting right, I'm really afraid food/liquid will get in there and rot my tooth". He was very kind, told me they were going to redo the crown AGAIN, and that he personally would place the crown and ensure there were no issues. Dr. Dasai acknowledged tooth #7 did appear to be very small (overprepped), and stated redoing it would also fix the open margin that was visible from just the oral examination. I felt once again, happy, and impressed that they were going to make this right. Nov. 2020 brings another crown falling off. This is 5 of the original 8 have fallen out at this point. In December 2020, my family begins asking me "What's wrong with your tooth, it's gray". I looked in the mirror and sure enough, tooth #7 has a gray tint in the front. I looked at the underside and it is very obviously dark inside. I visit the office, and Dr. Dasai tells me not to worry, that my tooth isn't rotting, it's simply the solution they had put on my gums when they placed the crown. It stops the bleeding but also has the tendency to turn black. Dr. Dasai tells me he can redo the crown with a material that isn't so translucent Dr. Dasai warns there is a chance when they pull the crown off, it may break my tooth and I would then need an implant. I started crying at this point. I had endured over a year of going to their office repeatedly, of getting shots each time tooth #7 had to be redone. I had a year of having nightmares that my teeth kept falling out because they were! I told Dr. Dasai I needed time to think about this. On April 25, 2021, it happened. Tooth #7 finally rotted and broke off. I was beyond shocked, beyond devastated to lose a front tooth like this. Today, April 27, I visited the office. Dr. Ferdkoff let me know that this was pretty much what he told me would happen and that he could do the implant today. --Hold on, did he really just say that? Please tell me why anyone would do a crown being told, "Hey your tooth is really little so it's probably not going to work well and we are going to end up moving to doing an implant". I have always tried to do the right thing by this office and not talk bad about them because they always tried to make it right but this isn't right. I informed Dr. Ferdkoff I would be seeking treatment elsewhere as I had lost faith in them. He quickly stated, "Ok, I will get you a refund for tooth #7's buildup and crown" then left the room. There was no apology, there was not a request to discuss what has been a nightmare situation for me. I received a check of $396 dollars to make up for the "failed crown" and build up and for losing a front tooth. Awesome. read more

This means that while dental practices are there to provide care, they may not always have your best interests at heart. It's crucial to educate yourself about your dental benefits and rights as a patient. Always remember to ask for a copy of anything you sign. It is your right to have this documentation for your records. On a personal note, I have requested our treatment plans three times and have yet to receive them. This should not be a difficult request to fulfill, and it's quite concerning that it has not been addressed yet. Therefore, I strongly urge you to find a practice that values integrity and transparency. Your dental health is important, and you deserve a practice that respects and prioritizes your needs. This dentistry is amazing! They are affordable and more importantly, they really care. Not only do I use their services for myself, but for my three children as well. We have had bad dental experiences elsewhere, so I was hesitant about going to a new dentist, but now after finding this gem, I don't want to take my family to any other dentist. They are that good. Dr. Daniela Punzalan is professional and compassionate; she and her staff go out of their way to take care of my family, including my autistic son, which I am so grateful for! Hands down the best dentist office I've ever been to. The environment was calm and quiet and very clean and professional. Everyone was friendly, quick and efficient, and Dr. Ferdkoff was very polite and thorough in explaining next steps for treatment. after reading about wisdom teeth extractions online, I was real nervous about my appointment to have mine reviewed. However, everything went smoothly, the procedure only taking a little longer than 30 minutes. The employees are also nice people, and they let me listen to music as well, which was a bonus. This was my husband's first visit. The appointment scheduler fit him, in being that he was in incredible pain. He said the staff was very friendly and the dentist was GREAT!
