Amazing staff. They make sure you are all set before you head out the door. Dr. Westerberg and his wife are amazing.

The…read moreoral hygienist I saw today at Dr Najars (my apologies, most likely misspelling Dr Najar), Terrell Hills clinic is the best I have ever seen. Unfortunately I do not remember her name but she was great. Very patient, informative, gentle, and thorough. She pointed out potential problem areas I was not even aware of. She is new to this office but has quickly established herself as a significant asset. Also Dr Najar is one of the best dentists I have seen In my 67 yrs of life. This office has done alot of work on my teeth, to include full upper implants. I have never been anything but completely satisfied with their work and professionalism. I hate going to the dentist probably more than most folks but the professionals at Terrill Hills dental always make me feel like I'm the most important person there. Thank you Dr Najar for always making me feel comfortable, welcome and confident I can trust you and your staff to provide the utmost in quality dental care. I have noticed a couple of reviews mentioned frequent employee turnover. I have noticed this as well, particularly of the administrative personnel. I would contribute this to Dr Najar demanding top professional performance from his staff. Some folks don't like to work that hard. I personally have never had any problems with anyone at this clinic.

However, the staff made my experience unpleasant; specifically, the dental assistant who took my X-rays, and the Front desk billing woman was also super rude and did not make me feel welcome. My experience with Elevate Dental has been disappointing and frustrating…read more I experienced repeated delays involving referral coordination and was ultimately informed shortly before a scheduled appointment that the referral necessary for treatment was no longer active. This issue was discovered by me rather than proactively identified by the office despite months of waiting for care. I also had concerns regarding the professionalism of front office staff. During a scheduling call, I found the interaction dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful. When I requested management involvement, I was told management would review the matter, but I never received the callback I requested. Instead of communicating directly with me regarding my concerns, information about the situation was reportedly discussed with my case manager. This has raised serious questions for me about communication practices, patient respect, and whether discussions about my complaint were necessary and appropriate. My concerns include delays in care, poor communication, failure to return management calls, referral coordination issues, and lack of transparency regarding requests for records and information. Patients deserve professionalism, accountability, and direct communication when concerns are raised.

Got all four of my wisdom teeth taken less than two months ago and let me tell you, AMAZING…read moreexperience! I'm not very familiar with the San Antonio area just yet (I'm new here) so I came across dr. Alvarado on ZocDoc and he just happened to be the first doctor on the list. The entire week before my appointment, i had anxiety and i was scared of the pain that was yet to come! Literally - every video i watched, made it seem as if it's gonna be one of the worst experiences ever. A huge thank you to Dr. Alvarado & his assistant for taking care of me because they proved me wrong that i shouldn't be scared. He was very cool, went into details about everything I should know or wanted to know. Really understanding as well! Being that I don't live close to the area, he gave me an option about the procedure.. either take the local anesthetic (& be awake the entire time) or make another appointment so that another doctor could come in (& i can sleep through the procedure). Decided to take the local anesthetic instead even though I was scared lol but he made it a reallllyyy smooth procedure and before i know it, it was over in less than 45-50 minutes for all 4! Every staff member was very kind to me and my bf! If you're waiting for someone, they have a tv in the waiting room and they let you choose a movie lol. Also as a patient, you get to choose what you want to watch during the procedure if you're lying down! The TV was facing towards the floor which i thought was cool and different in a dental room for once lol. The interior design is also beautiful! Big windows with views (it's tinted so don't worry about strangers driving by staring at you). Looks exactly what you'd expect UPDATE ON MY GUMS/TEETH: healed nicely and quickly. So thankful i got them out because they were causing so much pain.

I started seeing Dr. Martinez about 18 years ago and always considered him an excellent dentist…read more His original staff was friendly, trustworthy, and professional, and I especially want to mention Graciela. She was a wonderful assistant, a true asset to the office, and a real loss when she left. I always enjoyed my visits, and I appreciated watching how confidently Dr. Martinez worked. Things changed when Mary joined the office. I felt she was not honest with me about scheduling, and I brought my concerns directly to Dr. Martinez, hoping he would address the issue. Nothing changed. Later, when I needed another dentist to review my records, I asked Mary to transfer them. She was impatient, told me she would take care of it, and never did. That incident made my decision clear. I wish Dr. Martinez had taken my concerns seriously when we spoke, but because nothing was done, I will not be returning to his office. I have since found another dentist whose office is just as skilled and far more caring and friendly. In my opinion, Mary hurt his practice, and it is unfortunate that the problems were not addressed when they were brought to his attention.

I accompanied my senior mother here and listened to the breakdown of what she owed and then witnessed her still being charged more once we got to the payment area. Additionally, my senior citizen mother could not eat because of her dental emergency and they still couldn't see for a week. At my mother's last appointment with Oakwell, she was so disappointed in her implant falling out that she almost cried. Her dentist gave her a referral for an actual prothodonist. He knew he wasn't qualified to help her--but only after her spending thousands of dollars at Oakwell over the years. And today, after my mother no longer has any teeth, we got charged $50 for her canceling her last dental cleaning at Oakwell under the 48 hour grace period. My mother has been their patient for years and they won't waive the $50 fee EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESN'T HAVE ANY TEETH FOR THEM TO CLEAN. Should she show up so they can fraudulently charge her dental insurance? Ridiculous.

After checking on my insurance and finding out how much I was covered for ($4000) he decided I needed a few crowns. CACHING for him! He filled one of the old fillings and then did a crown on the one behind it. When the new crown was applied, it cracked. Instead of taking it off and putting a temp back on, he glued the crack and ordered a new crown. When I went in for the new crown, the old crown was of course glued on and it took over 30 minutes of grinding, picking and scraping to get the cracked one off. IMMEDIATELY after the numbing wore off, the tooth next to the crown, that had just been filled, started to ache. I couldn't eat on that side and anything cold drove me through the roof. I went back in to see what the problem was and was told I didn't have the right kind of toothbrush and I was brushing wrong. Also, I had a nerve showing because of plaque. It's funny that I didn't have that problem before the old crown was PRIED OFF!!!! My feeling is that a nerve was exposed during the process of removing the cracked crown and he did not want to take responsibility for it! He applied desenseitizer to the tooth and said I should be fine. Then to make matters worse, at checkout I was told I owed $50.00+ because the insurance only covered part of the charge. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back and will be filing a complaint with my insurance. I now will need to find another dentist to fix this mess!
